Ranger Sammy

"If we cant escape it, please use a Pokedoll. I don't wish to waste time fighting this thing" Airik said, starting at the Water and Flying type. A lot of people disliked Wingull because of its typing and low stats. There was also Gyarados, another Water flying type that had better stats, according to some. I watched as the Wingull finished its drink, and looked around. It spotted us, and I worried that the bird Pokemon would come flying over. It looked up, seeing a few other Wingull fly by. It flapped its wings and flew off, joining the flock that was flying away.


"That was nice," I said, "One less Pokemon to worry about!" I walked down to one of the little lakes, seeing if any Swimming Pokemon could be found. The lake was slightly muddy, which was weird, most of the lakes around her were clear. A shadow moved in the water, and a fish like Pokemon came to the surface. It was a gray color, with a black zigzagged line on it's side, and blue fins. The Pokemon was the Water Ground type know as Barboach, and I guess being a ground type meant that it liked its water muddy.

Airik was relieved that he and his ranger Sammy managed to escape the to his mind pathetic Wingull, they carried on looking around the lake for more pokemon to potentially capture. something caught Sammy's eye it was a Barbroach zigzagging around in some muddy water.

"You interested in one of those?" Sammy asked.

"About as much as I wanted that Wingull" Airik replied again reaching for the money clip "lets just leave it here feel free to use a doll and if were forced to fight then its at a severe typing disadvantage"

"About as much as I wanted that Wingull" Airik said as he reached for some money, "Lets just leave it here. Feel free to use a doll and if we're forced to fight then it's at a severe typing disadvantage" I nodded and watched the water and ground type. That was true, Barboach had a large weakness to grass, which all of Airik's Pokemon were. I thought that even thought it had a large weakness to grass, that was it's only weakness, and I thought that was a sweet deal. Whatever floats your boat I guess. The Fish like Pokemon Jumped out of the lake, and dropped back down into the muddy water. I walked by the lake, seeing if the fish was coming back, It didn't.


We walked on for a bit, a few more splash were heard in the lakes, and we came to the end of the cluster of lakes, a sandy beach lay in front of us. A small blue thing was moving along it, picking up little rocks before putting them back down. It was a Pokemon commonly mistaken for a normal type, Azurill. In fairness, it would evolve into a water type.

Airik watched as the Barbroach went about its buisness he turned to Sammy and nodded and the two of them went on there way it wasn't long before Sammy stopped and pointed at another pokemon, this was an Azuril, it was getting to the point that Airik wanted to turn the poke player back on despite having already caught a corpish catching two more might be preferable to the poor excuses for pokemon he was running into. Airik took a deep breath and let out a sigh, he shouldn't be getting angry just because his after specific things and there not showing up its no ones fault he reminded himself. Anyway with his luck so far today he would run into nothing but Bidoof for the rest of his run.


"You want to try for that one?" Sammy Asked.

Airik didnt even bother to respond properly just shaking his head and reaching again for the money clip

Ranger Sammy

Airik just nodded when he saw the little normal type, and grabbed a bit of money from his bag. I watched the water type wondering if it was planning on attacking. It was hard to think that the little blue thing could be seen as threatening anything, and I slowly took a step onto the bleach, and with all the grace I could mange walk a few steps up. Naturally, I stepped on a reed, which made a strange noise. This called the attention of the little guy, or girl. Hard to tell with some Pokemon. It stared at us, and I was ready for the little thing to charge at us. It did just the opposite, grabbing a seashell and running into the reeds on the other sides of the beach. Airik seemed to be a lucky guy, since most Pokemon would want to fight or at least investigate things that made noise. Airik may have aaaaaaaall the luck or something.


We walked down the beach, and something was blocking our way forward. It was large, blue and had a gray "Shell" on its back. It also had a pale underside. It was a Lapras, and the thing seemed to be napping. I decided against poking it, it could get mad, and I did not want a mad Lapras on my hands.

As Airik felt lucky for again managing to escape another pokemon without incident he wondered how long it could go on for. As he followed his ranger Sammy they came across another pokemon this was a Lapras and it appeared to be asleep. Although a brilliant pokemon it wasn't really something Airik was after in this trip to the park, he silently cursed himself for not brining more voice disks to the park he would love to get a Staryu, Horsea or even a Carvanha.

Airik wanted to leave the Lapras to sleep so as to not disturb it and raised a finger to his lips to indicate to Sammy to be quiet

"You want one?" She mouthed at him pointing towards the Lapras.

Airik simply shook his head and pointed towards the money hoping she would understand what he was trying to say

Ranger Sammy


Airik shook his head and pointed at his money again, he didn't want the Pokemon, and I would get that. We Walked around the sleeping Pokemon careful not to wake it or poke it or anything else stupid. The Water and ice type didn't move, and soon we were away from it. Airik has to have some of the best luck that I have ever seen. It could be a record or something. After a little walking we found a log that would take us to some solid land. well, more solid then that beach. There was some grass here, and a few trees grew around a small pond that was in the center of the grass. I walked over to the pond, and noticed that it was a fresh water pond. Both salt and fresh water could be found here, but we had been spending more time in the salty areas.


A few fish could be seen in the water, but they quickly swam down into the pond before I could do anything with them. Not like that was a real loss, they were just fish and not Pokemon after all. A few Lilly pads were laying on the surface. one even had a pretty pink flower on it. One lily moved a little and I realized that it wasn't a lily, but a Pokemon. It was a Lotad, and I pointed at it, looking at Airik.

Airik and Sammy managed to sneak around the sleeping pokemon although Lapras was a good pokemon and its typing gave it an advantage over most of its counter's in a battle and if Airik was right it could also learn psychic type attacks which would give it a way to counter fighting types. All around Lapras was a good pokemon but he was more concerned with catching pokemon he could'nt get any other way here in the park.

Airik felt rather lucky so far he had managed to escape from every pokemon he had encountered and didnt want to capture he and Sammy mused about this fact as they continued to walk a little, they came across a log and crossed it to what could only be described as solid land and dirt beneath there feet for a grass type specialist it was a more comfortable environment than a sandy beach.

Airik looked around and could see grassy patches and a few trees Airik wondered what pokemon he might encounter in this section of the lakes, Sammy began to move over to what Airik believed to be a small pond Ariik followed just behind her. As Airik approached the pond he could see a few fish like pokemon darting away from the surface at the aproach of the two bipeds.

On the surface of the pond there was a few Lily pads, Sammy seemed rather enthralled by one with a small pink flower on it. Suddenly Airik saw something out of the corner of his eye, it moved a moving pad and Airik knew imediatley that this was probably a Lotad. Sammy had only just spotted it but Airik was already reaching for a Pokeball he knew exactly which pokemon to use in this situation.

Sammy began to point at the pokemon he knew what she was going to say and before she could say anything Airik had released his chosen pokemon for this battle. Ludicolo began to clap its hands and dance around. Watching Ludicolo battle always brought a smile to Airiks face its movements where always so joyous this was the reason it was known as the Carefree Pokemon.

"Ludicolo" Airik shouted to get his pokemons attention, the sombrero wearing pokemon spun around to look at its trainer clapping its hands and rocking from foot to foot to a tune that only it could hear. This made Airik chuckle slightly but he knew despite Ludicolo's care free nature it was no slouch in battle and it wouldnt take long for it to deal with its evolutionary cousin.

"Ok Ludicolo, I want you to use Swords dance" Ludicolo began to dance a dangerous dance around the Lotad practicing punches and skipping around the smaller blue and green colored pokemon. It was an impressive dance Ludicolo displaying care and co ordination in its fake attacks as it finished a circle of its opponent. Airik Couldn't help but be impressed Ludicolo was one of the pokemon he truly relied upon back at the Eterna City Gym.

"Ok Ludi Now youre pumped up i want you to unleash that power using a fire punch and thunder punch together" Airik shouted and again Ludicolo began to dance spinning around the poor unfortunate Lotad his left fist began to spark as it built up Electrical charge his right fist was throwing practice punches when it spontaneously burst into flame this was Ludicolo's Fire Punch. Ludicolo took a step closer to the Lotad in its deadly dance of death and was ready to Strike

Airik prepared a Park ball he was confident that Ludicolo's deadly attacks would be enough to sufficently weaken the Lotad for capture. Despite Already having this Ludicolo and another Airik wanted to capture it as a gift for a friend with christmas comming up he was planning on Gifting the Lotad's to the Gym leaders of Hearthome and Nimbassa City both good friends of his and people who had always admired his Ludicolo.

Airik had used the Water and Grass type pokemon against both of them numerous times and on every ocassion Ludicolo showed that it was made of stern stuff, and in rain it became a speed demon with its swift swim ability able to outspeed potential threads and deal with them with a combination of surfs and Hydro Pumps. Plus having access to a Water type when defending a grass gym had its benefits.

"Sammy" Airik said "I believe that Ludicolo should be able to weaken the Lotad enough for capture, with its initial volley of punches so ill be trying to capture this one quickly so please be prepared to do what you need to do." Airik smiled at his ranger so far impressed she had been a helpful and thoughtful guide and had managed to help Airik escape most of the pokemon he had encountered with the exception of those he had wished to fight.

Airik pushed the button at the center of the park ball to enlarge it ready to throw towards the weakened Lotad now all he had to do was wait for Ludicolo to strike, and then it did Charging forward one fist powered with electricity and the other aflame lunging towards its intended victim the poor Lotad who untill this moment had probably been peacefully minding its own buisness.

Airik felt a small pang of regret for interupting the quiet and generally peaceful pokemons day, but if he wanted to capture it then thats what it took. He sure hoped his friends would like there christmas gifts.

Ranger Sammy


Airik seemed to be rather happy to run into the little water type, and sent out a Pokemon to battle it. Said Pokemon just so happened to be Lotad's final forum, a large water and grass type dubbed Ludicolo. It did a little happy dance after being released from its ball. Ludicolo were often known for their dances, and this one was no exception. The Lotad seemed to notice us for the first time, and crawled out of the pound that it was nesting in. I watched, a little worried that the Pokemon would try to flee. That would be annoying, since we had seen many Pokemon but this was one of the few that Airik seemed to want to catch. The Water type din't try to run, it just walked over to a small bush and started eating leafs.


"Ok Ludicolo, I want you to use Swords dance" Airik Yelled at his Pokemon. Ludicolo nodded and started to dance around the little guy, making himself seem bigger and stronger and more threatening over all. I knew about the move, it would raise the attack of the user. That was good, but if a Pokemon were to strong it could scare away or make the Pokemon faint, which would be bad. The Lotad, which seemed to be bored at the show that Ludicolo was putting on, turned to face the dancer for the first time. I wasn't extecting for the little guy to have an attack ready. It jumped at Ludicolo, its face seemed to be glowing a pink and purple glow. It was using Zen Headbutt. It hit Ludicolo in the face, and jumped back and onto a log. Ludicolo seemed a little put off by the hit but it did not seem to phase him much.


"Ok Ludi now you're pumped up,"Airik Said "I want you to unleash that power using a Fire Punch and Thunder Punch together!" The nice thing about Pokemon like Ludicolo was that they could learn the punch set, a set of moves that would allow for them to cover some of their weaknesses. One of Ludicolo's fists started glowing yellow and sparking, while the other glowed a red light and small flames appeared on it. The large Pokemonran at the little one, and punched with the flaming fist. The Lotad was tossed back a few feet and Ludicolo ran after it, punching with the red fist before Lotad could doge.


Lotad jumped up from the ground and ran towards Ludicolo, ran by its side, and jumped back up onto its log. It stood there for a second, deciding what to do next. It opened its mouth and formed a small ball of blue. A beam shot out of the ball and hit Ludicolo. The Pokemon didn't seemed to be too effected by the Ice Beam attack, and waited to see what would happen.


"Sammy" Airik said "I believe that Ludicolo should be able to weaken the Lotad enough for capture, with its initial volley of punches, so I'll be trying to capture this one quickly. So please be prepared to do what you need to do." It was a bit strange, most trainers waited to see if the Pokemon had been weakened enough before tossing a ball. He pulled a Park ball out of his bag, and tossed it at the water and grass type. Said Pokemon was still on its log and didn't see the ball coming. The ball hit Lotad in the faces, and sucked the little guy in a flash of red light. The Ball shook, three times before it stopped. The Little guy had been caught. I walked over to where the ball was, and put it my bag with the other Pokemon Airik had caught.


"Nice catch," I said. "You wanna rest here or keep on going?"

"Actually" Airik said "I think I'm done with this area of the park for now, I will come back sometime in the future but for today I have had enough"


he looked around and thought about the two new pokemon he had captured, Corpish a water and dark type that he wanted because he liked dark types and Lotad which he knew would make a perfect gift for someone.

"Actually" Airik said "I think I'm done with this area of the park for now. I will come back sometime in the future but, for today I have had enough," I nodded and pulled out a small tablet. I carried the thing when ever I went into the park. I had downloaded all of the maps for the parks, and it had a nifty feature that would show my current location on said maps. The screen lit up and soon we we're well on our way out of the park. After a little walking we we're back at the gate. I pushed one open and lead Airik though them. I was ready to go back to bed and have a nice long nap. I was hopping that Airik was happy with the run, having found and caught two Pokemon that he seemed to like.


Airik walked down the road to where the buses or boats or what ever he was using to leave the area. I turned and headed down the road that would take me to the nearest outpost which really wasn't that far.
