I walked towards the dock through the soft white snow that fell last night. I loved the sound when you walk on fresh fallen snow. It was a winter wonderland and I was called to help the park. I looked ahead and saw a couple of buildings beneath me illuminating the black sky above me. I had to make this journey 5 times a week as my job as a ranger and this sight from up on the mountain top still impresses me.

I walked closer to the Docks and grabbed a white and red ball from my pouch and threw it into the air. From the white flash appeared my best friend Romulus. Romulus was my starter and I had obtained him as a Chimchar. After battling and training it evolved twice, once into a Monferno and twice into a Infernape. I looked across to the Infernape and smiled as he bent down and sniffed the snow. I guess he has never seen snow before.

I reached the docks and noticed a little sheet of paper. It read:

Dear Trainer,

You are needed in the Woods now!​

"Alright Alright" Joe said as he headed towards the woods.

Joe ventured into the Woods as the note told him. As soon as he entered the wood he looked around and started to smiled. All around him was snow and it looked beautiful.

"It's like something you would see from TV" Joe said and walked towards a little opening. All you could hear from the Woods was Joe walking on fresh snow that made a crunchy noise when you stood on it. However something wasn't right, Joe started to looks around to see if there was any Pokemon. It was deserted.

"This is unusual" Joe said and carefully carried on. As he walked out of the opening he heard a buzzing sound. Joe looked around to find the cause of the sound but had no luck. It got louder and louder until Joe knew what the buzzing sound was.

"Romulus duck down" Joe said to Romulus as a Beedrill zoomed over the ducked Infernape. Joe fact was wrong, there was Pokemon but something was wrong with them, they looked like they wanted to battle.

"Ok Romulus use Flamethrower towards the Beedrill" Joe ordered his Infernape

Joe watched as the flamethrower attack bolted threw the cold air. The Beedrill seemed to anticipate the attack and used it small wings and danced threw the sky, dodging most of the attack. Joe watched the bug Pokemon dancing around in the snowy sky.

Then it focused it attention towards Infernape and opened its mouth and fired a silk string towards Infernape. Infernape seemed stuck in the silk web and watched as Beedrill flew down to the ground using its signature move, Twineedle. The Bedrill Pokemon withdrew its huge pincers and flew back into the air.

"Infernape use leap into the air and use Flamethrower at Beedrill" Joe said

Joe watched as Infernape leaped into the air. The tall fire monkey opened its mouth and produced a powerful Flamethrower towards Beedrill. The flame covered the whole bug pokemon. To Joe's surprise the Beedrill zoomed out from the attack and flew towards Infernape. However as the Beedrill was speeding through the cold air, it suddenly became surrounded by flames. It was Burnt.

The Beedrill landed in front of Infernape, "Alright Infernape use Aerial Ace"

However before Infernape could use Aerial Ace, Beedril zoomed down and used Twineedle. The needles smacked Infernape hard bu Infernape managed to regain focus and leaped into air and used Aerial Ace. The top of Infernape head was covered in a white aura and smacked into the Bee Pokemon. The Bee Pokemon fell flat on the floor before scampering away. I watched my Ranger pick up some Snow Crystals left behind. After that we began to head forward.

We reached a small lake and suddenly a small Surskit appeared from the freezing cold water. "Alright Infernape use Flamethrower" I asked Infernape.

The Flamethrower managed to hit as Infernape leaped into the air and landed a powerful Flamethrower attack. However the small Surskit produced a small blue ball and aimed it towards the air. The small blue ball disappeared into the gray skies above. The clouds suddenly changed from gray to dark black. I smiled as the rain drops fell from the heavens. From my surprise a huge powerful beam appeared from Surskit mouth and got bigger as it traveled through the rainy weather. The Hydro Pump landed on Infernape and took a lot of health from him.

"Infernape finish this with Mach Punch" I said to Infernape as the rain was lashing down

Joe smiled as Infernape leaped into the air and landed a quick Mach Punch on Surskit. The water Pokemon slowly skidded away the pond's surface. It dropped another Snow Star Crystal.

Joe slowly walked on before rudely interrupted by a small plant pokemon, Bellsprout. The rain continued to fall which could cause Infernape to have an disadvantage. Before Joe could give Infernape an order, he leaped into the air and sped towards the Bellsprout. The top of Infernape head began to glow white as it directed towards Bellsprout. This was Aerial Ace

Joe watched as Infernape slammed into the wild plant pokemon, knocking it back a few yards. The small plant pokemon swiftly got up and began her leaves began to glow white. She lifted them into the air and closed her eyes and Joe watched as she began to glow white, this was Synthesis but Joe knew it wouldn't be too effective.

"Finish with Aerial Ace Infernape" Joe ordered

Before Infernape made contact to Bellsprout, she produced a purple acid from he leaves and splashed them all over Infernape. Blaze, Infernape's ability had been removed, which was a disadvantage. Infernape smacked the Bellsprout into a bush. From then on Joe never saw the Bellsprout again. It dropped behind another Snow Star Crystal.

Joe continued to walk along the grass path ahead of him before noticing a small pokemon walking beside him. It was Kecleon. Joe saw a Christmas Item hanging from the Kecleon and decided to battle it.

"Infernape Mach Punch then use Aerial Ace" Joe smiled as it knew when Kecleon was hit by Mach Punch it's ability would change to Fighting Type, then Aerial Ace would be effective

Joe watched as Infernape suddenly ran towards Kecleon with it's arm raised and ready to attack before was distracted as Kecleon decreased in size and turn into a small toy. Infernape continued to attack and smashed the toy and broke the decoy. Then Infernape head turned white as he sped towards Kecleon. Kecleon didn't dodge the move and was smacked back. The Kecleon regained focus and charged towards Infernape and slashed his claws on Infernape face.
