Woo! I really liked BW's game plot. And I liked that the player characters were older and awesome.

;o maybe you and @Shenili; can be rivals!?!? You both picked Unova starters!

Being rivals is a great way to get to know someone. My rival is @Ash K.; We have a 100v100 forum battle (that we got special permission for) going on right now. And one day I'll knock him off his Champion's throne!!

(Or we can do a 2v2 since we both got pokemon vouchers)

 

We only have 2v2+ battles in URPG now. But you can totally do that!

Oh? Why's that? Are you still needing to use your voucher for another Pokemon? If so, we have a ton of cool mons in the Pokemart. Anything from the pseudo-legendaries to the starters and even things like Eevee!

I haven't officially joined, but I am looking around and seeing what's here. Seems like it'd be pretty sweet to try out, anybody with any suggestions as to how to get things off to a good start?

 

Hey there, welcome to our community! The best thing to do first (after creating your stats) is to decide what you want to use the Pokemon and move coupons you got in your starter package on.

For Pokemon, I'd recommend a pseudo legendary whose typing compliments your starter's nicely (pseudo legends are the most expensive things you can redeem the coupon for). Our of them all (Dratini, Larvitar, Bagon, Beldom, Gible, Deino, Goomy), I think Dratini or Bagon are probably your best bet since Dragonite and Salamence are super strong and doesn't share any weaknesses with Blaziken!

As for a move, TM Protect is the most expensive thing you can trade your coupon in for (and it pairs nicely with Blaziken's Speed Boost once you get that). Second most expensive are things like Substitute (which is a great move in URPG), Fire Blast, Thunder, Blizzard, and Focus Blast!

Feel free to use them on anything you like, though. Sometimes what's most cost effective isn't what you need the most. Also, feel free to check out our other non-battling sections too cause those will be your main ways to obtain new Pokemon. Of these, I think writing a Story or going on a beginner run in the National Park would be the easiest things to start with.

I'm taking a moment to browse the URPG after not visiting in just about 4 years. If it's possible to reset what little stats I have (one Litwick, one win) and start fresh then I'd very much want to do so.

 

Yep, you can definitely restart! Just gotta mention it when you request a new starter, and you'll have to edit out old information from your past stats.

 

Yeah, like Morru said you can certainly restart! In fact, I would recommend doing so since the starter package has been updated to include a lot more.
