    It's a new year and a great time to make new goals and resolutions. That’s why we’re going to have a census!

    Definition of Census
    Old Census


    There are many interesting benefits when it comes to analyzing census statistics:
    - Progress
    - Pokemon balancing
    - Curiosity
    - And more!

    The census starts 0:00 GMT-8 1/10/11 and ends on 0:00 GMT-8 1/23/11.

    By answering the following census questions via PM, you will be able to claim a meager amount of cash after the results are in ($3000). Content within PM's will never be disclosed by any census collectors and obvious trolling will leave you empty handed.

    Partaking in the census is not mandatory, as not participating is justifiable by security and privacy reasons.

    Anyways, give this a go, and send the PM to the census collector for the designated forum.

    I'm curious though. Why not just go through everyone in the trainer stats guide? While it may sound more tedious, you would certainly get a more accurate result.

    We want active members, definitely excluding the ones that always join and play for a couple of days with their starter Pokemon... then vanish out of sight forever. Also as you've already explained, looking through the trainer stats guide is hard and terribly difficult so a census would be much more efficient and effective.

    We're also looking at other statistics, not just only the Pokemon count. The statistics on the National Park question could be useful in a scenario - which I will provide a theoretical example: If a large ratio of people have never participated in a National Park run before, but the general consensus is that that the NP "sucks", then we could assume that people are just following the status quo or seriously hate to Roleplay in the Ultra Roleplay Game :eh:.

    The census would also be for the benefit of curious player. Seriously, who wouldn't want to know how many active girls play URPG or how many Salamences there are! :awww:

    That is why you'd rather prefer a census than a sweep of the Trainer Stats Guide.

    I agree that the survey questions should be left to the currently active members, but going through each trainer's stats would even still provide an opportunity to view which Pokemon are the most popular from anyone who has ever played the game (at least since the stats guide has been around). Who's to say that half of the active members decide NOT to participate? Then you have an untrustworthy source of information as a result.
