Ref Complaint!

Wow: terrible, immature, obnoxious work on the job. This is what I call lack of intelligence.

 

Well, I'd say I didn't see this coming but I don't want to be a liar. :x Point is, there's a time for snarkiness (and what Near does doesn't even classify as snarky, it's just rude) and there's a time to be professional. Reffing is a time to be professional.

 

I'm sorry, what? Since when has there been a shortage of refs? :/ Go look at the ref wages and the number of people who reffed and how high some of them go. I'd hardly call that a shortage.

The only part I'm going to agree with you here is I can see where you're coming from for wanting to tell people to change their moves due to there being obvious smarter choices. There have definitely been a few places where I've wanted to do the same.

However, you know what you should do about it whenever you feel the urge to correct someone's moves? Keep your big mouth shut and respect that people will want to play the URPG their own way.

Pretty much, I'm in agreement with Khajmer here. Reffing is, in a sense, a URPG job, and in jobs, most require you to be professional.

Alright guys, even though I do agree with the majority of this thread, I'm not sure it's really necessary just to post things like "Wow, immature, you suck" and the like. It's not really doing anything, and it's just throwing insults for the sake of it. Yes, Near has had his license temporarily removed while things are being looked into, but please, let's all retain a bit of decorum here.

 

If a moderator would be kind enough to lock this thread... The issue at hand has been solved.
