(removing Comm and Swift's names from their posts so it won't ping them again)

That literally defeats the entire purpose that most people want this for. To most people, this is a way to get rid of $250s or other amounts that can come from Grader wages. Also I've already explained that spending $1000 on $1 tickets gives the same odds as spending $1000 on $100 tickets, so that does nothing but discourage the use of the pool for its intended purpose and encourage people to use it in the way Syn mentioned is bad. (Or at least, I think that's what he was saying. His post was a little vague.)

This is what most people's donations will probably look like (numbers gathered from uneven money found in various Mart purchases):
$250 (lots and lots of them)
    $400
    $210
    $150
    $10
    $60
    $450

Most people I would expect to donate <$500 at a time. As you can see, all but one of the amounts listed there becomes impossible if you require denominations of $100. Allowing denominations of $1 allows for cleaning up any mess possible and as I said above, I have no objection to $1,000 maximum (or even $500 maximum). Though I feel like if the pool remains open for extended periods of time before being able to draw a winner, that limit may need to be per week or two weeks instead of per drawing. Again, I am expecting that most people simply want a want a way to eliminate unpleasant numbers from their stats and therefore this should be as available to that purpose as possible. Most people who want a Pokémon of low rank would be more likely to just do a story/art deal for it and spend that money on the TM Case they're trading for it.

Hmm, I'll agree on that $500 dollar maximum, with a $1 ticket, since I just learn that the donation pool is about getting rid of money, not winning a raffle. The $500 dollar maximum seems fair, since people have odd change between the $10- $500 range.

I'll agree on this raffle donation pool idea.

This what I have in mind about the raffle:
The maximum of tickets available for a person is 500.

    Each ticket will cost $1.

Each raffle sale will last for 1 week. Raffles are on a weekly basis.

At the end of a raffle, the raffle organizer will do a dice roll to determine the winner.

The raffle organizer or manager is the actual owner of the donation raffle. He or she handles and keeps track of ticket purchases. He or she can not enter in the raffle, do to cheating purposes. The raffle organizer will get paid a week ( pay check is around $1000 per week of service)

The raffle organizer will order the tickets bought in any order they want, roll a dice with the sides as the total amount of tickets bought, and the number it falls on is the number of the ticket of the winner. The player who bought the winning ticket wins.

    Prizes range from the following:

    • Pokémon (Includes: Magikarp, Caterpie, Slugma, Cottonee, Pidgey, Abra, Gastly, Poochyena, Geodude, Klink, Tyrouge(Which one will be decided by dice roll))(Rare= 5%)(1-5)
    • Evolutionary Items(King's Rock, Cable Link, etc.(To be decided by dice roll)) (Uncommon= 10%)(6- 15)
    • Type- enhancing Items(Type to be decided by dice roll)(Common= 20%)(16- 35)
    • $10 (Common= 20%)(36-55)
    • $100 (Uncommon= 10%)(56- 66)
    • Mega Evolution Stone(Includes: Gyradosite, Heracronite, Mawilite, Abomasite(Determined by dice roll))(Ultra Rare= 1%)(67)
    • Type Gems (Type to be decided by dice roll)(Common= 20%)(68- 87)
    • Contest type Scarf(Type to be decided by dice roll)(Super Rare= 3%)(88- 90)
    • Pokeblock (Type decided be dice roll) (Uncommon= 10%)(91- 100)

The raffle organizer will do a separate dice roll with a 100 sides, the number it lands on will choose the prize (numbers for prizes are indicated above). If there are different types of that prize, an other dice roll will happen to choose the prize.

    Sound perfect, right?

No, it doesn't sound perfect at all. Why would we enter a raffle with the purpose of fixing ugly money, and one of the rewards be ugly money? Also, Abra and Gastly would almost definitely be too high for the raffle, but that's more of a staff decision if they feel like raffling off Hards for only $500 in a none celebrational auction setting. If dice are being rolled with witnesses, that would be the prevention of cheating already, so everyone should be allowed in if they want. I also didn't see this happening weekly at all. I would assume, like, twice or thrice a year maybe but that's also all up to staff and such.

Hmm, speaking about that, I'm cutting of all money prizes, since you got to be so rude, and replacing them with nuggets and other valuables that can be sold in "The Underground" located in the Marketplace. Abra is replaced by Natu and Gastly to be replaced with Duskull. The raffle organizer idea will be dropped and be replaced by Moderators. The raffles will can taken around every week, in the case of no moderator online.

    Any thoughts?

Gonna bump this thread cause I want to see the idea implemented for those that still have odd money amounts after battle payouts were changed.

Just make it a once-off sweepstakes. Everybody donates their odd amounts as entry. The total gets split 60%/30%/10% between three randomly rolled people as prizes.

Yay! So, does anybody else back up the current form of the raffle donation pool? Any amendments you want to add?
