All ORAS really does is reclassify some of the moves, as well as add the weird Mega Evolution mechanic. I'm not convinced enough changed between RSE and ORAS to necessitate a change to ORAS.

As for copying moves, I'm of the school of thought that nervous moves were the best counter to them. I'm also a purist who doesn't like adding stuff that wasn't officially intended to exist by the original developer, but if a balanced nervous clause that allowed nervous moves while still keeping them somewhat in check were to be made, I'd be okay with it.

That's the point the reshuffle would fix the weird classifications we gave the gen 4-6 moves as their ORAS moves are better. Moonblast is cute? Nah. It is totes beauty (after all Moonlight is a beauty move). A lot of the gen 4 moves introduced had their attribute copied from DPPT and some of them were completely changed when implemented in ORAS. If you looked into what was changed you'll find that moves like Air Cutter/Slash don't become copies of each other, and other really smart things happened. Besides the new combos would be excellent as it would increase the already limited variety of moves we have in the berry store to be available to players. Since there are the same nervous rules in ORAS, the same clauses should apply.

However, the adoption of ORAS contests should be its own thread.

Mega Evolution would most likely be set to be banned as their inclusion was completely unfair and arbitrary in a contest setting.

Everything else aside, I have always 100% agreed with this and planned for it when ORAS Contests happen.

But yes, ORAS Contests are not a fix for Copy/Nervous issues as far as I am aware, as I have not heard of it having any (direct) effect on either and therefore it is not what is needed here.
