A New Slogan for URPG!

One of the things mentioned in the thread for improving URPG was that its slogan needed work. "Expand your horizons!" is great and inspirational, but it's also a bit vague, and I don't personally think that it's going to be attracting new members anytime soon. What we need is a slogan that will draw-in new players, and tell them right off the bat what sets URPG apart from other text-based RPGs. At the same time, it needs to be short and sweet. No tl;dr here!

I'd like to open this thread for actual suggestions for new slogans for URPG. You can make jokes, but please try to be constructive. When there are enough suggestions, we'll compile a list and narrow it down from there. Remember: short, informative, and captivating. Short and informative are hard to do simultaneously, but try to think main ideas of URPG here.

To start, I'll give an example suggestion (also one that we could possibly use lol):
"URPG! Transcend the four-move limit!"

Just one suggestion of many possible. Please feel free to contribute and discuss each other's ideas! =]

No?

I like your idea Swifty, but it's a very battle-centric one. While I think that would be the biggest selling point, it also doesn't represent URPG as a whole.

Me, Harry and Blue were thinking up something a while back in the skype chat and what we came up with was pretty good, I assumed it would have been put forward since it was leagues better than what we already have. I can't remember it all atm but I do remember a snazzy tagline from it.

"Create, Capture, Compete"

technically not true but I have put a lot of thought into this and I feel it combines the spirit of URPG the game with the spirit of URPG the member base and I think this is the one we should use:

"Metagross knows Stone Edge here"

 

Hey guys sorry I haven't been very vigilant with this thread. I don't want to let it die out without a concrete decision though. So far, it looks like we (as in the people who have posted here) like Harry's suggestion of "Pokemon Ultra, the #1 Battle Simulator! All of the mons, none of the limits--Create, Capture, Compete!" I personally would suggest changing "mons" to Pokemon since it sounds a bit like jargon, but otherwise I like it too.

If anyone has any more real suggestions, or if you do/do not like the newly proposed slogans you've read, please continue posting in here!

If the thread doesn't get much attention for a while, then I think we ought to just go with that one.

 

This idea is sorta an amalgam of Harry's idea, Swift's original idea, and a few interjections of my own. I dunno how good it is...

"Pokemon Ultra, the Unrestrained Pokemon Experience! Create, Capture, Collect, Compete! Transcend the 4-Move Limit! ...Oh, and we have cookies! \(o3o)/"

Basically, I wanted to make a slogan that is both exciting and funny, and reflects a focus on battling while not making it seem like that's all we do here (well, I HOPE that's not all we do anymore x___x). What d'you all think? Is it bad? It's probably bad...

 

I really like Gibb's! It conveys everything we want to get across with great phrasing, and it's quite light-hearted too. Also it gives a throwback to our one from long ago. I'd suggest removing the emote at the end, but otherwise, I really like that one.

Of course, my opinion doesn't really count for so much lately, but it's a really solid option.

 

No no your opinion matters a great deal! I agree with you. I really like Piano's idea without the emote at the end. Still open to more suggestions, guys! I think this is a good one, though.

 

I like Gibbs' but feel it's not quite snappy enough. I do like Harry's original suggestion the most.

 

Harry's original one is pretty heavily focused on battles. While that is our biggest and most active section do we want to promote only on that?

 

I've added a poll to the thread. Harry and PianoMan's suggestions were too long to put as options, so make sure you read them over before voting. These are by no means the only options. People can and shuold continue to suggest new slogans if they can think of them. Also feel free to continue discussing the ones we have! Every vote counts so make sure you put in your two-cents!

We need more suggestions! I think it could help with our YouTube page if we had a snappy slogan to tie it all together. Right now, voting on the ones we have is pretty even (and sparse), so it looks like we could use some more options.
