So with the Auction coming up, I know the refs would like to have as much money stored away as possible. Seeing as I'm in charge of ref wages, I was wondering if you guys would like for me to deliver them next Monday, the 25th, as I usually would, or would you like for me to hold off on them and give them out the day before the auction?

Keep it as normal. Things shouldn't be twisted to suit the refs over everyone else.

If the ref wages are being specially tailored to fit in with the auction, you can bet your ass the Ranger wages will be too =P

Might as well just give everyone $100,000 before the auction if you move it!

This isn't some kind of advantage. Just like battlers gain money every time they battle, refs gain money every time they ref a battle. You've already earned the money. I'm simply adjusting the schedule so you have the money for when you need it. Its not like this would be the first time this was done. Not to mention, being a ref, you already have an advantage over everyone else when it comes to making money.

Actually, it would be the first time. Some ref wages were only delayed in the past if the auction happens to fall on the same day as wages day (give or take).

I can tell you that Stinky asked me to delay the Ranger Wages for the Valentine's Day Auction when they were due out a day or so before it, but I'm not sure whether that applies to this situation in any way.

Wages have previously been pushed after auctions happen.

To be fair, and I know this argument works both ways, it's only a few days more that we'd have to get more wages. One could argue that battlers are "advantaged" in the fact that they don't have to wait for their money at all - it's instantly paid. Judges too, iirc. You say not to spam battles to get more money, but that doesn't stop people battling properly, but more than they usually would, in a bid to get money.

How about, then, a compromise? The wages are given out halfway between the two proposed times, so the 27th or 28th?

Wages will be done as normal. If anything, they can be held back until after the auction.

Ranger and Grader wages can follow suit.

A better compromise would be pay half the wages before, then the rest after. :p

But personally I don't care. They've always held wages back until after auctions.

It's not as if Refs can't battle and get money instantly as well
