if he overbid earlier, then logically, we should lower the current bid by 2500, the amount he exceeded the max. which would make the current highest bid, my bid, 16600.

If someone with the authority disagrees, feel free to correct me and my bid can be treated as 19100. Anyone that wants to outbid me should list two bids, one being an increase of 19100, the other being an increase of 16600 (though both increased by the same amount) if that makes sense.

EDIT: whoops. he only increased it by 2500 more.

 

Though its against the rules nonetheless and if going by that, it should go to me since I had the highest bid before he bid that high.

 

Yeah, and those 'competitors' should know the rules and should have caught Senzura's broken rule. So yes, I truly believe it's fair to the other competitors.

badalcristiano should have the highest bid since rules cannot seem to be followed correctly. But who am I to say? I'm just another face among the crowd. At least be fair.

EDIT: Also, I started bidding after someone else bidded higher then senzura. I didn't even see his bid. How is that remotely my responsibility >.>

 

Your argument comes one day too late. Therefore, it is irrelevant. If you had caught the error in time for others to change, you would deserve it. Now, not so much.

You are probably knew about this before hand, and were just waiting for the auction to end so that you could bring up the rule and get a cheap mon. I say we don't let this tactic win and instead let honest people, who put a lot into investing for this auction, win the mon

Well it is not right for you to blame it on me, I do not believe in cheap tactics. Another thing, I only realized this error 10 min. before I posted it. The only way I realized it was because I was looking at what pokemon was going up for bid.

Another thing, the auction was over before I posted it since 7 days was over :drowsy:

@Derian: You are meant to look at other people's bids before bidding, It is common sense! Why would you want to just randomly post? And this was on the page where Ataro put it up for auction, which means if you wanted to see the Pokemon that was up for auction, you would've gone to that page, and you could've looked at the bid, and you should have considering you are bidding for this.

Actually, I just raised it that high for the lulz. I wanted to see if people would actually shell out 20k for a medium mon. I never had any intention of getting the magnimite. Sorry >.>

 

One person broke the rules, doesn't mean everybody else should be penalized.

 

Well everyone should have taken into notice while bidding that this was breaking the rules.

The only reason I spotted it so late is that once Senzura bid 12K I was like, I'm not wasting so much on it and I left. Only when I checked back and wanted to see whether the bidding was still for the same pokemon, was when I spotted this.

 

Honestly, I had no idea me raising the bid by rediculus amounts for a cheap laugh would cause somuch trouble. I had no idea there was a max to the amount you should raise it >.>

 

Well in the first place, if this were to happen on AIM, the mistake would be pointed out immediately and I'd take notice of it and continue the bid from the last legal bid. But since I only noticed it today when the auction already ended, I am going to open up the auction again for one more day.
