Actually wouldn't the last minute of the auction technically be 1:20pm EST?

Cause I mean at 1:21pm its technically a new week from the original post, I could be wrong but I'm just saying

    Ebail is correct.

    START
    09-08-2010, 11:21 AM

6 DAYS, 23 HOURS LATER (FROM START)
    09-15-2010, 10:21 AM

6 DAYS, 23 HOURS, 59 MINUTES LATER LATER (FROM START)
    09-15-2010, 11:20 AM

6 DAYS, 23 HOURS, 59 MINUTES, 59 SECONDS LATER LATER (FROM START)
    09-15-2010, 11:20:59 AM

    ONE WEEK LATER (FROM START)
    09-15-2010, 11:21:00 AM

ONE WEEK LATER, 0 MINUTES, 1 SECONDS (FROM START)
    09-15-2010, 11:21:01 AM

Therefore, the last recordable time for bidding should be 11:20 AM, as displayed by the message board system. Meaning this should be the winning post: http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showpost.php?p=2190039&postcount=282

On another note, some of you are horrible bidders. What the hell is the point in bidding and jacking up the price if you're going to snipe for the last second bid?

Actually it would start at some time at 21 past. So it doesn't end the minute it hits 21. So there's no way you can know which were before it ended, and which weren't. So there.

Yes, so that is why 11:20 is the best time we can use in this matter, since we can guarantee it happened before exactly a week.

Is there any way to check seconds on posts?

Because if it was posted at 1:21:30 for example, then it should end 1:21:29.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999...

Since the forum doesn't keep track of seconds, we can only go by the nearest whole minute.

[20:24] Zoa: besides i dont think you know the seconds it was posted originally
[20:25] Zoa: so if you really did post it before an exact week while the next person didnt
[20:25] Zoa: its not like you really did it strategically
    [20:25] Zoa: or on purpose

I'd say you, but maybe someone else should confirm.

I'm just adding to the point that Pidge made. Pidge assumed 0 seconds, and I don't think it is fair that an auction's results change because of an assumption.

But the only fair thing to do is to not have the auction end on the same exact minute it started one week ago

Since there is no way to track seconds the most fair thing to do would be to end it a minute early, so if 1:21pm EST was the starting time, than 1:20pm EST a week later would be the ending time
