I joined in April, and so I'm claiming my 10k now as well as offering you this speech.

Seven years ago a young upstart by the name of Eric, or "Ebail" as the performer/gimmick name you all know me as stumbled upon this place during the day of the launch on this site. It was shaky start at first as I'd begun with a simple male Nidoran while others around me took harder hitters such as Scyther, and Riolu to get going. Oh but I battled my way through the ranks, and eventually stumbled up the Flying-dojo which was having it's leader kicked for never taking on challenges, and through some people convincing me, and doing some trading I found my way into there, and getting a record of 48-8 in a few months time as well as snagging the prize for the third best dojo.

Time went on and I found the park and I loved it because where else could I do RP stupid like almost cause an avalanche by making a Pokemon of mine use Screech against an opposing Pokemon, while in character I ignored it, dancing around wearing headphones and get rewarded by catching said Pokemon?

Reffed a bunch of interesting and cool battles. Protested the system when AIM's first group chat formed and I didn't join for months, and would still make like 60k in ref wages by being asked on the side to ref. And I'm still not even active in the group chat now (although I am always there because why close the app? Takes 3 seconds, that's too long)

I held various gyms, even managed to become a member of E4...of course that was at a time when it was short 2 members and they wanted spots filled but still! Made a pretty good collection of cool, and powerful as well as well-EM'ed mons which i gave to all you dang people and none of you gave me nothing in return, nice...real nice! and beat a bunch of gyms with some unusual battle strategies as well as an E4 battle.

Had a mix of some good as well as some bad times here. Got to meet a lot of cool and memorable people, some I was sad to see go, and other people who weren't so cool that I was meh about seeing come and go. Had a bunch of laughs, and got to make some good friends. I've left and returned on a yearly basis since 2012 because it's good to branch away and do other things, but it's also fun to swing by and see some familiar faces at times and maybe by leaving for 9 months at a time it'll make you jerks appreciate me more! also it's my thing to leave, and come back that often.

Seven years of fun, and we'll see how many more and how many more breaks! I'll be around for, and see some of you.

And remember, during the end of this year when the awards come give me your vote for best award speaker.
