Gym Leader History - Part 2

Could I suggest that Legend Defender be added maybe? Seems slightly important. Also maybe add records for longest LD title, most successful defends, etc.

 

Maybe that would be better suited for the Legend Defender thread (like just have a brief history of the title and perhaps their legend), but I agree 100%.

 

LD history would be insanely long wouldn't it?

 

It hasn't been around that long compared to most gyms, and we have all of them...Plus everything is already documented in a thread. I just think it should be added to this.

As you can see, there's quite a list here. I checked the numbering, and I'm pretty sure it's right, but if you see where I've jumped from 5 wins to 7 or something, point it out. Also, if any of the links lead to the wrong posts, post and I'll try to track down the correct one. The Legend Defender rules and such have changed a lot since it first started, and there were even a couple of 2v2 LD battles. Occasionally people even gave up their LD Title so they could try against the new LD for a better Legendary. Anyway, it was pretty interesting going through all of that.

Also, I didn't get to see stuff like "Most Defends as LD", and it didn't help that most battles weren't even posted in the LD thread until recently. I believe Pidge holds that record though.

Reading through the threads (no, I did not read every single page, I mainly just used the forum search feature by gym name), I encountered a lot of interesting things. Let me just say, we have come a long way. Back then, first come, first serve was used when people applied for a gym. Hell, I even found an instance where a returning member gets his old gym back, stripping the position from whoever already had it. Controversy over who gets what gym and wildcards was common. Applications back then were also much weaker. It was common for someone with only 1-3 of the gym Pokemon to get a gym!

Now what follows is the actual gym leader history, as well as the history of many other positions. If a name is in bold, that means he/she is the current holder of the position. If a name is a hyperlink, it will bring you to the post on the forum the person applied in which that person was approved for the position, although some exceptions may apply if no such post exists and/or can't be found.

So what does Part 2 of Gym Leader History entail? That's where you come in. Before this information is officially added to some official thread, anyone is free to post any corrections or missing links. Furthermore, I need to find the preferred name of any user that has more than one username. Like does husnain prefer Husnain? The answer is obviously no. The Elite 4 section needs to be filled out. There are no links required for those, so just name as many as you can, past and present, although it needs to be figured out who came in what order. Also, I need more legendary gym records, whether its your own or someone else's. What qualifies as legendary? Anything with a high amount of wins compared to losses. However, the gym must be retired from that person.
