THE URPG NEEDS A FACE-LIFT!
a joint urpg banner & urpg threads banner contest​

It has been two years since the last banner contest, and four years since the last URPG Banner Contest. For newer members that might not know what is this about, the URPG Banner Contest is held once every few years and the winning banner will become URPG's official banner, thus being given prominent feature like in the URPG Wiki article, or the Rules thread.

This year however, the Contest is looking for submissions for threads-specific banners too. Many banners have broke in the past few years and a few of them could use better banners as well.

As usual, prizes for these are very rewarding. You are allowed to submit entries to as many threads as you want, so we encourage you to make a bunch! Just a heads up, Emma received $82.5k + Corphish + Lotad for her submissions in 2012. Prizes for this year's event will be revealed at the end of this thread.

Rules

1. Must be a member of URPG to participate
2. You have one month from the date this is posted to complete your banners and submit them.
3. Entries should be posted in this thread.
4. Your banners should be related to the post or thread that you're entering it into, so don't put contest stuff on a battling banner, etc.
5. Make sure it's a usable size. See the banners on current threads for a good idea on an appropriate size.
6. If you submit multiple banners, please try to put all of them in one post. It's fine if you're inspired later and make a later submission.
7. Submissions will be closed tentatively on Sept 21, 2014, so get crackin'.

*Specifically for the main URPG Banner entry, it is important to have a copy of editable version (eg. DO NOT delete the original .psd file or whatever format), as URPG's tagline of "expand your horizons" will most probably change to something else in the near future. Feel free to suggest new taglines and use them in your banners, but always have the editable version at hand so that we can edit the tagline accordingly.

*The URPG Staff reserves the right not to use any banners for any threads if there are no appropriate or quality banners submitted.
*The URPG Staff reserves the right to (re)host selected banners under its own server.

Prizes for (Main) URPG Banner Contest

1. First Place: $10,000 + any Legendary Pokemon not currently taken (one year lease + 10 Extra Moves)
2. Second Place: $5,000

Prizes for URPG Threads Banner Contest

1. First Place: Hard Pokemon or lower
2. Second Place: Medium Pokemon or lower
3. Third Place: Simple Pokemon or lower

In addition, for each banner that gets selected for a thread, you will also get $5,000. Currently, there is a strong possibility to introduce new prizes that can be won for specific sections like General and National Park due to the massive amount of banners that we need.

Expect prizes to be even better if there is a large amount of participation and quality-based submitted banners.

Is there a way we can get a day or so extra? I had work and then I got sick and didn't have the time or energy to do these... but I'd like to turn in at least one for each thread as needed.

Well, since nothing's happening, I'm turning more banners in tonight and tomorrow. Deal with it.

 

I think thats what we've been waiting for anyway..

 

If that was the case, somebody should've said so. I never got an answer to my post asking for extra time.
