URPG Ladder Tournament 2013: Discussion & Prizes

From now on, all discussion pertaining to the current tournament should be posted here. Prizes will be given out in this thread as well, so that the other thread remain strictly for ref logs only. First up, two rule changes, since you guys seem to like complicated rules so much.

1. The second battle is now completely optional. If you have done your first battle this guy, you can either choose to accept or reject your second battle when challenged, or simply don't feel like doing one.

2. If you have already battled once and find yourself not wanting to battle anymore (but cannot do so since you cannot legitimately reject challenges), you can choose to eject yourself from the tournament entirely, and thus you can no longer battle anymore. This can only be done for people that have 15 points and lower, and only in Week 2 or 3. You have to post in this thread for it to be legit.​

Quitting ladder tournament as im tired of being harassed by a single member of this community every time i log on to chat because his desperate to battle his always desperate to battle and this forced battle rule has done nothing but put those of us who generally avoid battling this particular individual in a situation where he thinks he has some level of power wielding the report hammer like some kind of mighty weapon. Well to that individual i say go ahead and report me now im not actively participating in the ladder tournament any way. I wouldnt mind if it was a close race but the person i mention is way out in front so is in fact forcing these kind of situations where people feel obliged to battle him lest they get reported simply to be obnoxious.

 

Four people (Ash, Zoned, Gaz, and Morru) were affected by a miscalculation error for Week One. Results are not affected however.

Additionally, this particular battle between Ash and GliscorMan is an invalid battle as both of you have already battled twice before that. I'm letting it slide this time round, but no points are awarded for it. Be more careful next time.

About the battle, no one was sure who battled who twice because the spreadsheet never got updated. I started keeping my own for myself, but it would still be nice to get the official one updated more frequently.

 

It was never my responsibility to keep it constantly updated. It was supposed to be updated at the end of each week only.

Just because I'm extra nice on the first week doesn't mean I have to be extra nice on all weeks. I'm sure you can easily remember who you battled twice.

 

Meant to post this before the week starts, but I forgot. These changes were discussed before Week 4 starts and they take effect immediately.

*Please check out the post before this if you haven't. Referees, take note. If someone sends an illegal Pokemon and 3 turns have already passed (thus reversing the battle would seem illogical), simply make the player play without that mon. Thus, that player will be handicapped at 2 VS 3.
