My only problem with this is the buy in might be too large, 10k means 112k to the winner. I've not experienced many tournaments in my time at URPG, but isn't that sort of a hefty Prize?
    And i might join

First place isnt going to be easy to get. Theres going to be very few (if any) inexperienced contestants involved, so battles are going to be a lot more competitive from an early stage. Also no other tournaments require that you actually RISK something in order to enter; all you can do is gain money, even if you lose in round one. 10K isnt a huge amount, but it isnt something to throw away for most members. This risk factor is what makes the prize larger than what you would typically expect from a tournament.

First place isn't going to be easy to get? what makes getting first place in this any harder than getting first place in any other tournament?

I doubt this will get 16 people, so just chill lol...

I expected at least a few sign ups in the first few hours, but after talking to some people I think many don't want to bother. The buy-in might be lowered if that's whats preventing people from joining. And the prize money might be spread even more, like 50% winner, 25% second, 10% third, etc.

You know what? You signed up for my tourney so I'll sign up for yours.

    $188250 - $10000 = $178250

(Consider it my contribution to the URPG economy)

The Buy-In for the tournament has been lowered to 5K. @WebMaster can claim a refund of 10k and re-enter if he wishes to

Sign Ups are now closed. Due to the small number of entrants, the tournament format has been changed. It will now run in a round-robin style league. The table. Wins count as 3 points, losses count as 0. Referees are reminded to log battles in their own logs and post a link here and to also post how many Pokemon were left on the winning team, which may be used in tie break situations later.

There is no set order to battle each other, so just go at it. Since you only have four battles to do, they should all be done within 3-4 weeks.
