Are random battles just not cutting it? Are you having a string of bad luck like when you have a bunch of battle ready mons and you roll Butterfree on a boosted Tyranitar or Garchomp using Stone Edge? What if you can choose a roster of your best mons and roll from there? Of course, Navel Island does that, but this being a tournament, we can take it up a notch with some extra rules per battle to keep players on their toes.


Rules:

1) Post on this Form to confirm your entry as there is no deposit. Anyone who wants to have a go may enter.
2) You may use any Pokemon from your stats using any EM that you have legally taught it. If your pokemon knows a copy of your Gym TM, it cannot be used.
3) Single Elimination – once you’re done, bye bye.
4) All battles will take place on Discord and not the forum to ensure they are done quickly. The goal is to have each round take no longer than ten days. A forum battle will be approved if the battlers cannot catch each other online for whatever reason, but the battlers must come to me first as the forum battle is the last resort to get the battle done in a reasonable amount of time.

Battle Rules:

All battles during this tournament will be 4v4 randomly selected from a team of 8 sent to the referee. Below are the default rules for all battles.

Items On (Mega and Z-Move Clauses May Be turned off or on upon player agreement. Default is OFF)
No Weather / Default Terrain
SLP/FRZ/OHKO/ACC/EVA/Legends Clauses On

The Special Rule will applied just after teams are revealed:
Trading with the Enemy – After previewing teams, both players may take 1 pokemon from the opponent’s side and add it to their team. This is done privately through the ref. The item and ability the original player intended will stay when traded.

Let’s keep things fast paced! I’ll have sign ups up for two weeks after posting which is Monday, April 10th 2017 at 11:59 EST. I also want to keep things at a fairly brisk pace so 10 days between rounds sounds ideal.

Legend clause still does nothing for this unless you happen to bring two--your opponent will just steal it, as per the tourney's special rule. Leaving it off puts people with a legend at a disadvantage because they can't actually use it lol.

Due to the level of participation in this contest, I have received approval to award the winner a Complex Pokemon, and each player a Pokemon in declining rank i,e. 2nd place awards a hard, and the 3rd place awards a Pokemon of medium rank, and I can award the fourth place player with a Pokemon of simple rank!
