I'm in. Is this forum battle only, or? Just asking since the whole "more active" thing.

No, both AIM and forum are allowed. More active typically just means who of the two battlers of a matchup seemed to be online more/put more effort into being online and getting the battle done.

Forum is allowed, but you'll still have to finish the battle within the two weeks or a progression decision will be made.

Um this may sound weird but can you post a list of the nicknames and the forum names of the people. I'm assuming I am SM but as for MK my guess is that is PichuBoy but I'm not certain. And it is just the first round battles to be done right now so the battles that have pairs now are the ones to get done in the next 2 weeks?

You should be able to hover over a shortened name and it will give you the forum name also. Battlers who are in the second round due to byes may battle now if they have their opponents already, but otherwise have 4 weeks.

    What the.... 4 weeks?!?
The World Cup takes about 4 freaking weeks, and that includes the group stages all the way to the final match.
Make it 3 weeks u jurk. Who the hell needs a fourth week to do their match(es)? :|

    P. sure people want this done before Christmas.

Only for the second round battles. It's the two weeks that the first round lasts for, and then the two weeks that the second round lasts for. Some of the second round battles will just be done prematurely.

However, if in the unlikely case a third-round matchup pops up, would that pair be allowed to battle if we're still in Round 1?

I doubt it. Now you're just jumping the gun.

Also if somebody is actually waiting til the very end of the 2 week period to get their battle done then they clearly aren't putting any effort to be part of the tournament. Monbrey clearly said forum battles are acceptable, so if you know you won't see your opponent online within that time frame, then why the heck not start a forum match? One and a half weeks ought to be a fair amount of time per round. Yeah MK, one and a half weeks! AKA 1 week, 3 days, and 12hrs. ;|

I'm assuming I post this here since there isn't a specific thread for round 1.

    6v6
    B/W Revo
    Helds On
    Normal Weather/Terrain
    Sleep/Freeze/OHKO/Accuracy/Evasion Clauses
    GBA CLAUSE

    Round 1
    FD
Volbeat, Alakazam, Gliscor, Infernape, Swampert, Gengar
    -vs-
    SLC
Ditto, Scrafty, [Blaziken], Dragonite, [Cloyster], Whimsicott

It feels weird having my first battle reffed be a tournament battle. Went better than expected though, prob because of Gameboy clause.

SLC wins and gets $4000, moves on to round 2.
    FD loses and gets $2500.
I should get $4000 for reffing.
    Total Tournament Wages: $4000
