Special Rule: Ref will roll 4+ (how ever many Pokemon are decided) of 9 sided die to use abilities from this list! Doubles are okay (i.e. rolling 4 8's means 4 Mummy abilities). Rolls will happen before SC wager and then battlers decide what Pokemon to use and which get what ability. Important! Pokemon with specific hindering or stance/form changing abilities (e.g. Castform, Slaking, Shedninja, Aegislash, Archeops) cannot have their abilities changed. Mega evolving does not change your ability, what you're rolled and chose for that Pokemon stays.

1-2 - Choice of Weather Effects: Drizzle, Drought, Sandstream, Snow Warning, Cloud Nine
3-4 - Choice of Status Effects: Flame Body, Poison Point, Static, Effect Spore
5 - Choice of Shed Skin, Natural Cure
6 - Rough Skin
7 - Choice of Magician, Pickpocket
8 - Mummy
9 -Trace



Side note of observance: I've noticed that the most people involved (are obviously more active, but) are mostly newer or less experienced battlers. People who I would consider "URPG E4 worthy" have not battled much and seem to target the less experienced battlers or newer URPGers. This could just be coincidence, it could also be more of a not-so-sportsman-like strategy to make it into the top 8 at the end of this week, but in any case I'd like to see more battles between those kinds of people 'cause those are the most interesting especially when there's special rules instead of just normal battles.

Anyway, this is the last week, so get those battles in to make it to top 8! Those skillful few will continue on to the ladder part of the tourny while everyone else can hang out in the Shadow Realm URPG Chat or where ever. So let's whip out our Duel Disks Mega Gallade style and go big or go home with our Star Chips wagers!

Wow, crap abilities... maybe with some of my enemies abilities replaced though, I can work my way up from 1 SC to being in the top 8? Who knows!?

No, lol, most of these are pretty useful.

As a side note, what about including Hydration and Leaf Guard for status cures? Also, can these be doubles/triples? Cause otherwise Symbiosis does nothing lol.

Tok out Symbiosis 'cause there are no double/triple battles and I misunderstood the definition while reading it. Oops! As for Hydration and Leaf Gaurd, no. I wanted to stay away from weather affecting abilities in all (like swift swim, dry skin, and rain dish to name a few) just to keep it as less broken as possible.

I'm p sure that was Synthesis's job, wasn't it? Otherwise, Liam would have to go through all the logs and tally all the SC himself.

Please keep up with your own SC and PROVIDE LINKS; keep your DP stats exactly how Syn did in his example! Please do not put off updating them either! This is important because if you put them off you might wager the wrong amount of SC. This has already happened and I fear it might happen again. I've noticed people's total SC DO NOT match up with what I have calculated. That being said HERE is an updated spreadsheet of total SC. If you think yours is different (or someone else's) let me know asap with provided links!

@Fawkes. @Lovecraft Your total SC in your DP stats do not match up with what I got. Please either update your DP stats, or prove to me why yours is different.

I'll try to keep this spreadsheet updated but YOU ALL need to keep YOUR OWN SC count updated. I don't like holding hands and I'm not a math major. Thanks for participating in this tourny, it's totes fun.
