Duel Peninsula: Delayed

Hi, it's Duel Peninsula. The story is we kidnapped you and you are trapped on this peninsula. If you try to leave, you are shot by 1,000 missiles from the moon and you die.

Okay, but we will let one person leave. How do we decide that person? Well if you check your pants, we have inserted a plastic baggy. Inside that plastic baggy is 100 Star Chips. Whoever has the most Star Chips after 28 days will be allowed to leave. Also, you have all your Pokemon with you or something. Neat huh? I guess you should battle and wager those Star Chips or something! Here are some rules...

• 
  Sign Ups and Stats
• sign ups will last 168 hours Edit: The sign up time has been extended indefinitely.
• you must have AIM to sign up
• to sign up, you must post in this thread and create your Duel Peninsula stats
• you are responsible for accurately and promptly keeping up with your Duel Peninsula stats, if you do not, you will be penalized or disqualified
• your Duel Peninsula stats must have the current amount of Star Chips you have, your AIM, links to all your battles' ref log, and your gain/loss for each battle
• you start out with 100 Star Chips
• an example of proper Duel Peninsula stats will be supplied
• YOU CAN'T START BATTLING UNTIL SIGN UPS ARE CLOSED AND A POST SAYING YOU CAN START BATTLING IS MADE
  
  Challenging
• you can challenge anyone through IM or PM
• you can't deny challenges without a good reason, if you have a good reason, you must set up a date and time to battle later if the challenger wants to
• however, if you have already battled three times during a day (a new day starts at the time this post was made), you can refuse a challenge if you provide proof you battled three times to your challenger through battle logs
• that means if you are not on Away mode, not battling (FFAs do not count), and not reffing, YOU ARE A FREE TARGET
• IF YOU ARE DOING HOMEWORK OR SOMETHING YOU THINK IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE TOURNAMENT, DO NOT SIGN ON AIM
• not responding when you aren't on Away mode is the same as denying a challenge
• if you are challenged through PM, you have 24 hours to respond and continue the dialogue on setting up a time
• feel free to screenshot the conversation with an evasive battler and PM the image to Pidge and/or WebMaster for him/her to be dealt with accordingly
• if you do not show up on an agreed upon time, you will be treated as though you denied a challenge
• I WILL HAVE LITTLE TOLERANCE FOR CHALLENGE DENIALS AND WILL PENALIZE/DISQUALIFY ACCORDINGLY (basically, Ash K. is guaranteed to be out in the first week)
• THIS IS A TOURNAMENT; THAT MEANS I (Pidge) GREATLY ENCOURAGE PLAYERS TO PICK ON THE WEAK TARGETS AND TO TAKE AS MANY OF THEIR STAR CHIPS AS POSSIBLE; DO NOT DO THE OPPOSITE BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOU ARE 'BULLYING' SOMEONE OUT OF THEIR STAR CHIPS
  
  Wagers
• the person that is challenged (who will now be referred to as the target) decides how many Star Chips (which will now be referred to as SC from now on) will be wagered right after the rules are stated
• you must wager a whole number of SC (you can't wager 55.4325 SC)
• the minimum amount that can be wagered is 25% of the challenger's amount of SC
• the maximum amount that can be wagered is 50% of the challenger's amount of SC
• round down to the nearest whole number if the minimum and maximum amounts are not whole
• if the minimum amount is greater than the amount the target has, he/she must wager all of his/her SC instead
• if you have 0 SC, you are out of the tournament
  
  Battling
• you can only battle each person once a week for the tournament
• the week the battle takes place in will be when the battle started
• each battle must use the following rules:
  4 VS. 4
  BW Revolution
  Items Allowed
  Sleep Clause
  Freeze Clause
  OHKO Clause
  Evasion Clause
• however, if both battles agree, the 4 VS. 4 rule can be changed to 5 VS. 5 or 6 VS. 6
• all payments will be normal
• if a battler has to leave during the battle and he/she does not return within 20 minutes, it is a forfeit, unless the other battler is being especially slow sending moves (looked at case by case)
• you can only have one battle in progress at a time because it will change the minimum and maximum
  
  Scheduling
• each week will last exactly 168 hours
• the tournament will last exactly 672(+48) hours
• 48 additional hours will be supplied to break any ties to those that have placed
  
  Prizes
• 8th: Simple Pokemon
• 7th: Simple Pokemon
• 6th: Medium Pokemon
• 5th: Medium Pokemon
• 4th: Hard Pokemon
• 3rd: Hard Pokemon
• 2nd: Complex Pokemon
• 1st: Demanding Pokemon
• you may choose a prize that is lower than your placing if you want
• if you get 1st, you will be allowed to leave the peninsula and live
• the prizes will be improved if enough people sign up
