Welcome to the first season of URPG Clan Wars. This is a tournament which will pit teams of players against each other to earn points through other competitions across all of URPG’s sections and other special events. Sign-ups are open to all URPG members, and anyone is able to apply to become a team leader. Once sign-ups are completed, the URPG Staff will decide on four leaders, who from there will draft the rest of their team before season one officially begins. Prizes will be determined towards the end of the tournament - while you may be offered opportunities to join other teams during the tournament, the later you join your team the lower your prizes will be. That said, expect prizes for team efforts and high individual scorers.

Please use this form when signing up. The skills section is to allow people to know what you’re good at in case the leaders don’t know you very well. We’re looking for any info about you that would get you drafted higher. However, don’t go too overboard. If you want to become a clan leader, put yes for the clan leadership field.

FAQ
Will I know my draft position?

Only if you ask for it. Team leaders should not disclose this information without the approval of the person in question. This is to prevent disappointment if you are not as high as you placed or bragging before the competition begins.

What if I miss the initial sign-ups?

Don’t worry about it! While your prizes may not be as high as they would be if you joined at the start, you’re more than able to join during our free agency periods. Lasting for one week at the start of November and January, you will get the opportunity to post your sign-ups and will be assigned to another team to create as much balance as possible.

What do team leaders do?

They'll be responsible for picking the team name, colour, drafting the team and reporting any problems within the team.

What are skirmish weeks?

For one week a month, there will be a skirmish week during which you will earn points for battling other team members and winning. It will work like WAR - at the end of the week, the team with the most wins will gain points. A smaller points bonus for second place will also be given, in addition to an individual performer bonus.

Do skirmish weeks earn me extra wages/money?

Not as of yet, but potentially in the future or for special events.

What competitions will earn me points?

Tournaments (both battles and contests), writing and art competitions, park events, special events (such as an URPG Quiz Night and iSketch), skirmish weeks and forum FFAs. In short, pretty much everything. Regular battles outside of skirmish weeks will not. The only competition which will not give points is the PXR WAR, due to the inevitable scrambling of teams.

How long will the Clan Wars Season last?

It is projected to last 5 months, from October 1st 2014 to February 28th 2015. Sign-ups for a potential season 2 will begin on March 1st 2015, and run from April 1st 2015 until August 31st 2015. This cycle will continue for any future events. You can check the calendar for more information.

While sign-ups should officially be closed, you're still free to sign up until the draft occurs. We should be rolling it out with 3 teams led by Ash, Winter and Syn but this could change slightly.
