Also, it's funny, I'm battling you two at the moment!

 

The trainers lock eyes, following the rules of Pokemon this can only mean one thing:

A battle must happen.

Immediately the young trainer, Haillys, releases his fresh new cloud bird, Swablu, into battle.

His opponent, Rick, matches his enthusiasm and releases a flaming pony, Ponyta, named Iris onto the battlefield.

They both look expectantly at each other waiting for the other to make a move:

Swablu 100%, Ponyta 100%

Moves?

(No need for RP or anything. Just adding some spice. If you want me to stop feel free to let me know )

Then @Haillys; will send theirs and you'll alternate sending from there =D

 

WOOOOOOOOO! THE CROWD GOES WILD!

 

My turn, then!

And since Ponyta is mostly physical... Cotton Guard!

 

Rick's red hot fiery passion echoes the flames worn by his Ponyta, Iris. This heated combo decides they want to start off the battle by turning up the heat!

Rick sends out his first command! And it's Sunny Day!

Ponyta runs a few quick circles while her eyes begin to glow a brilliant white color. She looks straight up in the air, and shoots a blinding white beam into the sky! Whoa, I can feel the suns rays getting stronger.

Next up is Haillys and Swablu! How will they react to this show of blaze?

Keeping it calm and cool, despite the heat, Haillys wants some extra protection and tells Swablu to use Cotton Guard!

The cotton bird starts to wiggle its wings... WHAT IS THIS?! The cotton keeps growing... and growing... and growing!

That little bird is nothing more than a giant mass of cotton at this point! I have no idea how anyone could hit it with that much padding! However, just looking at that coat of cotton in this blazing sun is making me sweat.

Dodge with Bounce!

 

(Sorry about the long wait. I've been visiting friends and they don't have their internet set up yet.)

The bright sun doesn't seem to phase either of the battlers. In fact, it's just fueling their competitive nature!

The trainers lock eyes and size each other up. Haillys is the first to give an order: Toxic.

The large bundle of cotton seemed to squirm in an odd manner, and somehow a blast of purple ooze came out. Surely it came out of the Pokemon's mouth, but there was no way to tell since the only thing visible was just cotton.

As the purple ooze came out, the fire pony immediately responded. It pushed itself up onto its back legs and then launched straight up into the air. It was preparing a Bounce attack. The purple ooze came down onto nothing.

Ok, I'll be here, counting the seconds 'till she comes down...

 

Toxic once she gets down.

 

Ponyta's flight was short lived. It soon turned its force from straight upwards, into a downward spiral towards Earth. Its momentum grew and grew until it was a force to be reckoned with.

The little bundle of cotton that floated in the air seemed to just hover expectantly, eager to see the attack finally connect. It was tired of waiting for this pony to live out its dream of being a pegasus.

Ponyta came crashing down into Swablu with a devastating Bounce attack. It easily connected with the floating bundle of softness, but the bird didn't seem too rattled by it. Instead, another jet stream of purple ooze seemed to fly from somewhere under the cotton and connected square with the fire Pokemon, infecting it with Toxic. The pony winced as the toxic hurt it.

tl;dr

Ponyta finishes Bounce.
It hits.
It doesn't paralyze.

Swablu uses Toxic.
It hits.
Ponyta becomes badly poisoned.

Now, Take down!

 

Fire Spin!

 

The now poisoned pony needed to quickly switch things up and find a way to hurt its shielded opponent. This wall of cotton was proving to be more of a threat than originally thought. Rick quickly assessed the situation and decided to take advantage of the blazing sun.

"Iris use Fire Spin!"

The basic flame horse acknowledged the command and flames began to gather in the horse's mouth.

Swablu wasn't going to just let this happen. In its hurry to get some more damage in, it decided that a full-on attack was its best option. It began picking up speed and hit launched itself at its opponent. Ponyta released a spiral of flames from its mouth as Swablu collided with her. The Take Down hurt Ponyta and made Swablu wince, but not as much as the spirals of flame that now surrounded the cotton bird.

Take Down again.

 

Feeling the pain Ponyta was under, Rick commanded it to use Morning Sun. This capitalized on the current sun, and helped the flame horse survive whatever attack was coming its way.

The bright sun shone down on the horse and its flames began to brighten. It kept getting brighter and brighter until its whole body was releasing light almost as brilliant as the rays it was taking in.

Swablu then went back to the tried and true method of battle. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. It readied itself and launched at great speed. The puff ball again collided, hitting with another menacing Take Down. The damage was done, but the little bird definitely had to have taken some recoil damage.

Swablu is hurt by recoil.

Toxic hurts Ponyta.
