Special Rule -> All mons are devolved to their basic stage, mons that don't have preevolutions and can't evolve are banned.
All EMs the Pokemon have may still be used, regardless of their current compatibility with the species.

Sends will be open until Easter Sunday (April 5th) at GMT-3 22:00 PM; the turns will have the duration of 48 hours after the stats are posted. Failing to send will result in a KO, and please remember to check for move compatibilities (i.e.: What level-up moves the evolution has that the pre-evolution doesn't) and that EMs bought after the start of the FFA may not be used.

Not to intrude upon... but is it possible to make the turns easier to read and include less side chatter? Just a suggestion.

 

Shrug, if you get people to not talk on FFA, when turns are happening it will.

 

Or you could do it like this forum FFA or this forum FFA or this forum FFA and just type up what is happening instead of just copy pasting AIM

 

While I understand why you'd want a clean transcript, Jack (and everyone else who is agreeing with him via "like this post"), I do kind of like to see what everybody is thinking, and see some actual interaction. Since I can't be there in the chat to see what people are saying for every turn as it's posted, I do appreciate that the banter is copied and pasted along with the moves. (For instance, now I know that Monbrey and swift are mad at me and I'm going to die next turn TTATT)

It helps to break up the monotony, actually helps me know which turn I'm looking at. It's weird, I think of a "Free For All" Battle as being Primapes and Weedles swooping around a gymnasium, pummeling each other to dust, firing off solar beams and flame throwers and what-have-you; in reality, they often end up as this odd, silent thing where everybody is too nervous to speak for fear of cluttering the venue or painting a target on themselves. It's not like an anime/real life pokemon battle, where it'd be raucous, it's like a pokemon card battle where you're peeking quietly over the top of your fan of cards to wordlessly strategize, there's just no social aspect to it.

I'm rambling. tl;dr, please, everybody, talk more. It's entertaining to watch and it humanizes you.

(@Jack: you've got plenty of time to read and think about each turn-- that's the point of forum sends. If it's really giving you that much trouble, I suppose you could copy the turn into a notepad text editor and remove all the dialogue that's not related to the game?)

 

I have to agree with Jack. As per the examples Comm posted, Forum FFA's tend to be big, story-driven events. Chainy's wasn't, but was cleanly formatted for the Forum environment.

@Springtrap; I guess it's my fault for not asking in the first place, but had I known that you only intended to copy and paste individual turns of an AIM FFA every two days, I never would have approved this.
