15th Anniversary Epic Boss Battle: Vs. Mewtwo!

I'm going to Topsy-Turvy it. So if anyone wants to use Swagger for some extra amusement, now would be the time.

 

Turn 8

The assault continued, Pokémon battering Mewtwo's barrier with a constant stream of powerful, type-advantaged attacks and mobbing under Weavile's lead. Others built themselves up and made efforts to support each other, their Trainers anticipating the battle continuing longer.

As Mewtwo drew together more power to blast the swarming, mobbing army, a plan long in the making finally came to fruition. Malamar unleashed its signature attack, Topsy-Turvy.
Mewtwo's barrier became inverted, increasing the force of attacks that came through it. So too did its amnesia no longer make it less aware of the damage of special attacks, instead making it more sensitive to their effects.

Golurk, mighty fist raised, was the first to attack Mewtwo in its newly weakened state. The powerful blow knocked the legend off of its feet, the force carrying it away before psychic will won out over momentum.
Mewtwo's response was impulsive, its power whipping the cave air into a hurricane. Severe gusts of wind blasted throughout the small army, the light screen saving many from severe damage, with only a lucky few evading the attack completely. The Golurk, amongst others, continued to stagger and sway once the winds subsided, rendered confused by the twisting motion.
But powerful attacks were not enough to dissuade the Trainers and their Pokémon from defending themselves.
An Umbreon pounced on Mewtwo, flipping and slamming it to the ground, leaping away in time for a Goodra to slam the prone boss with its tail.
Tailwind behind them, the Trainers' victory seemed guaranteed.

Turn 9 - Battle Ends!

Seizing the opportunity for victory as Mewtwo remained down for a moment, the Trainers called for rapid, speedy strikes to finish defeating their foe.
Pokémon staggered and rushed, some hurting themselves in the confusion as they rose in a cloud of darkness and mobbed Mewtwo one final time.
Mewtwo had managed to return to its feet by the time the attack subsided, the worst of the mobbing at the front of the pack. Battered and exhausted, it stared down a Trainer's Mewtwo, trying to find why it seemed so much less powerful and yet somehow impenetrably superior.
It made no progress in attempting to psych itself up to a plateau of calm before it fell, the Trainer's Mewtwo forming a vast sphere of shadow above itself with the support of a Latias and crashing it down on the erratic clone.
No more movement came from that wild Legend. It was defeated, and its unstable genetics began to dissolve from the damage of the battle.

All that remained were various items that the creature had attempted to include in its devices... and a mysterious Pokémon egg within the decaying mess.
