Elekid opens with a Low Kick, hoping to take advantage of the type match-up, with an answering Mud Slap that lowers his accuracy. Deciding that LK isn't powerful enough Elekid switches to Swift and trades a few attacks for an Ice Shard and another Mud Slap. Swinub sees that it will lose if it contiues trading attacks like this, so switches to Mub Bomb for a KO.

Butterfree puts Gabite to sleep thanks to a Tail-Wind, just after Gabite throws up some Sandstormy conditions. Butterfree tries to inflict Nightmares on Gabite, but he's a light sleeper and wakes up with a nasty Dragon Rush, finishing off with another Dragon Claw as the Tail-Wind peters out.

First turn sees a Discharge and Force Palm exchanged between the two, leaving Chinchou Paralysed. After that it's a case of repeated Force Palms and either full Paralysis or missing with Hydro Pump. Chinchou does manage to strike with Hydro Pump eventually, leaving Riolu with a paltry 2.11%. But that just makes it mad and sets up a devestating Reversal. KO

Pikachu used a cunning Discharge attack before being put to sleep for the remainder of the battle, Chinchou begins with Bubblebeaming Kirlia, whist Pichu Whips his Tail at them. Chinchou continues Bubblebeaming and is then Confused with a Sweet Kiss, Kirlia Eats Pikachu's delicious Dreams. Thanks to the Confusion, Chinchou smacks itself, leaving Kirlia free to finish Pikachu off with another Dream snacking, aided by a light Thundershock. Chinchou gets off a few more attacks whilst being Psychiced and having its stats dropped by Pichu, but then it's all over.
