If you're interested in a Fire Gym, Lavaridge is now open and accepting applicants! Now's your chance to show up Monbrey and Fire's got some cool contenders on the gen 7 horizon (lookin at u, Salazzle!)

Additionally, the Elite Four reserve spot has opened up. Take it in case it becomes relevant in a decade or so.

 

Yeee, time for a gym purge, as it has been brought to my attention that a few people seem inactive. This is to check. If you don't in five days, by Tuesday the 20th, I'll assume you no longer want the gym and drop it so someone else can take it up/challenge for it.

@Synthesis , is Navel Island in the OI league something you still want?

Monsu Gym is open, then. I encourage applicants to sign up! Dark is an interesting and surprisingly versatile type. Most Dark Pokemon are offensively oriented, but status and support roles are in no shortage either. Many Dark types rely on your opponent to make plays that ultimately advantage you such as with Foul Play, Sucker Punch, Snatch, and Switcheroo. Dark-type also gained a very useful immunity to Prankster-boosted moves this generation which really increases the playing field and helps prevent you from being counter statused especially with your faster Pokemon like Sharpedo. Dark is also very focused on mind games and playing tricks on your opponent to get them into a position where you can easily set up. If you think you've got the stuff to take over Monsu, apply within! (Also watch out for banana peels)

and with that, Gengar is now a valid Dark Wild Card!
