Chapter 5

Zero, The director (his father), Benkei (the directors assistant), and a few lab assistants were sitting around the desk in the director’s office. Zero was sitting on the edge of his seat, rocking back and forth, holding his newly snagged Shinx in hand. As he rocked he looked at his father anxiously awaiting a response.

“How much information did we actually lose?” asked the director.

“Quite a lot sir,” replied Benkei, glancing over at Zero.

“Damn it, we worked our asses of to collect all of that data, and we lost it, just like that. GOD!” yelled the director slamming his fist into the table.

“Dad,” muttered Zero.

“Well, we are gonna have to find and return all of the data,” said Benkei standing up.

“How are we gonna do that Benkei?” asked the director.

Benkei turned to face Zero and said, “well.”

“Oh Hell no!” said Zero, “ I am not gonna go out and risk my life to save a cd of data.”

“But Zero…” started Benkei anxiously.

“No means no! I am not gonna risk my neck, so that you can get a cd back from a bunch of Cipher goons!” Shouted Zero.

“Zero,” began the director, “you may not want to, but, you need to. You have the Snag machine. YOU have the ability to snag shadow Pokemon. YOU are the perfect choice to battle Cipher!”

“But…” began Zero, “Fine, I’ll do it.”

“Good, now, you will head out first thing in the morning,” said the director standing up, “if you will excuse me, I am going to bed now. Zero, I expect to see you at 6:00 A.M ready to leave.”

“Yes sir,” responded Zero.

Zero Stood up and turned to walk out of the room. As he walked the hall, Zero began to speak to himself.

“Damn, I thought I wouldn’t have to get involved in the whole Cipher thing. However, this machine on my arm kind of sealed the deal didn’t it. Damn. Looks like if I get involved, there is no way for me to get out of it. Well, so be it. Look out Cipher, here comes Zero!”

“ZERO SHUT UP!” cried Benkei from his bedroom.


Chapter 6

Under the blanket of night, a solitary van made its way across the deserted desert. The van then came to a sudden halt in front of what looked like an abandoned laboratory. A group of men got out of the van, their eyes focused on the lab entrance. As the approached, the door opened and a tall, skinny, orange-haired man stepped out to greet them. The man was wearing a monocle and a white lab coat.

“Ah you have brought the data. Very good, bring it inside please,” said the man looking at the disk in one of the men’s hands.

“Here you are Dr. Itatsuki,” said one of the men, handing the disk over to the scientist.

“Good,” responded Dr. Itatsuki, “follow me please gentlemen.”

The men followed the doctor into the lab. The lab was run down and very dirty. As they walked, the noticed that it seemed to get cleaner and cleaner as the walked down the hall. At the end of the hallway, was a single door. The doctor entered a code on the keypad and the door slid open. The men could not believe what the saw. The door opened up to reveal an enormous room full of gigantic computers, desks, and lab equipment. The room was the size of a large cathedral.

“Hell,” said one of the men, “you really got have quite the impressive lab in this dump.”

“Yes,” said the Doctor, “Cipher needs the best.”

“Yeah, but, how did you do…” started the man.

“Now,” said the doctor, “hand me the disk the Boss gave you.”

The man handed the disk over to the doctor who took it eagerly.

The doctor took the disk over to a computer on the far side of the room ans inserted the disk into it. He waited for a moment and a bunch of data popped up on the screen before him.

“Yes, with all this purification data,” started the doctor, “we will have XD0XX 100% resistant to purification.”


“Now doctor,” said one of the men, “we need to get back to the island. Boss Samura wants you to send him an update as soon s you decipher all of this purification data.”

“Tell he that can be done, began Dr. Itatsuki, “see you around then gentlemen.”

The men turned around and headed out of the lab. As they approached the van, they noticed an envelope stick out behind the vans windshield wipers. One of the men pulled it out and opened it.

“There is a pokeball in the back of the van,” the man read, “in it contains a shadow Yanma. Give this Pokemon to Rykage.”

A man from the back of the group stepped forward. He was tall and had dark purple eyes and bright red hair.

“I am Rykage,” he said.

Rykage walked over and opened up the back of the van. He picked up the pokeball.

“Well then, I guess it’s you and me now then, Shadow Yanma,” said Rykage closing the back of the van.

The men got into the van and drove off. They arrived at Gateon Port, where a yacht met them in the harbor. The men boarded the yacht and rode it out to Cipher’s current headquarters.
