It was one of those days. You know the kind, where everything seems to be going right. I got up today at nearly 7:00 in the morning because it was the day I'd finally get my first Pokemon. So I went down to the local Pokemon lab to receive my Pokemon and my Pokedex. After all, I wanted to get a chance to catch all the Pokemon. Even some of the legends. I was ready to go. I got dressed, ate and left by 7:30. So I get to the lab, and I see about a dozen people hanging out in front of the place, all waiting to get their Pokemon. I could tell from the looks on their faces that they were just as excited as I was. So anyway, I go into the lab after a couple of minutes, since the professor had to open the doors, and me and the rest of the kids outside scramble in, nearly trampling the professor. Once he settles us down, he begins handing out the Pokeballs, announcing the beginning of a brand new adventure for us. It was the moment of truth. The professor came around, handed everyone a Pokemon, and I finally got mine. After a few seconds of silence, once everyone got their pokeballs, we were instructed to open them. Inside of mine was... an Abra! I was so happy that I got a Psychic Pokemon as my starter, I could barely contain myself. So, once the whole deal was over, I immediately decided to show off my new Abra, or Psyclone, to my family. So, deciding to feel snazzy, I get Psyclone to Teleport me to my house. We get there, nearly giving my mother a heart attack, and I told her how the whole ceremony went. After a while of talking about how awesome Psyclone was, and what my future would turn out, I decided that I would go on to become a Pokemon Master. My mother and father were so excited, they couldn't believe it. So, my dad gave me some cash to get started, and I was on my way.

This is rather short to be an Abra story. Here, you'll see that Abra is a 20k Pokémon. Yours is considerably short of this mark.

Try reading this How to Writer Stories thread for information on how to go about lengthening your tale.
