Here is where you start your journey. Please step up to the counter to receive your first Pokémon. Don't post here unless you are accepting or requesting a starter. For questions/chat, go to URPG Related Chat (BMG | PWN | PXR).

Starter Pokémon can be from any series. Make sure the Pokémon you choose is the lowest evolution and not a legendary. Your Pokémon must have an evolutionary form (example: no Smeargle). To assist you with your new journey, you will be entitled to a starter package which includes the following:

• 1 Starter Pokémon
• 1 Pokémon Mart Ticket that can be redeemed for any Pokémon in the PokéMart
• 1 EM Mart Ticket that can be redeemed for any Technical Machine, Breeding Move, Special Move, or Move Tutor Move.
• 5 Rare Candies
• $10,000
• $5,000 Contest Credits (for use in the Berry Store)

Don't forget to post your stats in the Trainer Stats Sub-Board (BMG | PWN | PXR)!

To check up on information* regarding your Pokemon, simply visit URPG's official Pokédex.
*such as moves that your Pokemon can learn, abilities, evolution methods, obtainability methods, etc.

The URPG exists on Bulbagarden, Petalburg Woods, and Pokémon Crossroads. If you have already requested a starter from one branch, you do not need to register on any other. Your stats can be used and are valid on all forums.

I'm afraid Pikachu is an evolved form of another Pokémon and is not eligible as a starter.
Would you like a Pichu instead, or a different Pokémon? :)

Both of these are fine starters. What's more is that both are also available in the PokéMart!

It's worth mentioning that a lot of URPG community and battling content occurs on AIM, but a Skype chat is also available and battles may occur there also.
