Form/Detail
To start with, this is a very simple, clean image. Not a whole lot of detail, but with a pokemon like exeggcute, detail is not exactly their strong point(being nearly featureless eggs/seeds). I like that you framed your pokemon at an angle as opposed to straight on, it is a more dynamic view and not being overly complex. The limited view allows us to focus on the pokemon, since you have nothing else to take the viewer’s eyes away from it. I think that's where the image falters, the eye does not need to wander, to take in the disparate elements and make them cohesive. Its a good image and very realistic, but its depth is rather limited.
Color, Texture, and Shading
As far as color & texture, I don’t think there is much to say, as you used real world materials that come with their own inherent colors and textures. So all in all there is not much to improve. The eyes and opened mouths are somewhat flat though, maybe a slightly shinier paper would have given them a more realistic look instead of the flat matte appearance we have now. While the lighting is not bad, it does not really offer any dynamic shadows, it lights up the pokemon adequately enough for them to be seen well against the stark contrast of their background. A little more color variety would have been nice to see in this image, right now the only nonblack colors are shades of yellow, which can sometimes make the pokemon pop out less. Something like a green egg carton could have helped to separate the two elements from each other.
Pokemon Anatomy
Let's be honest, I don’t think your pokemon could get a whole lot more accurate than they are now.The faces are pretty close, though if I were to critique something, the red mouth in the lower right corner isn’t quite perfect. Props to breaking off just the tip of your one egg, Lychee and I were looking it and being impressed with it. While i don't know how you would do this, I think the only major improvement that could possibly be made would be to make the eyes and mouth appear sunk into the eggs as opposed to glued on top. But I think that with the materials you have that would be exceedingly difficult.
Environment/Perspective
The weakest part of this image, in my opinion, is the background. Your egg carton definitely gives the mind a jumping off point and gives context to the image, but thats where a lot of it ends. Most of your shots show a featureless black plane, which gives no sense of where the pokemon is. The one shot that shows otherwise offers up some dark reflections. The background can be used to tell a story, and give context to where a pokemon is. Had you changed up the angle on some of the shots, you could have shown perhaps a bowl, spoon, & flour(or whatever you had handy) to let the viewer know that these poor pokemon were about to be baked into something. This could have even been progressive series of images showing the process. Another option could have been toast and bacon nearby, and let the viewers imply their own ending to the story. All in all this is where you could have done the most improvement in your image.
Creativity/Effort
While i have seen exeggcute made in real life like this before, it is not altogether a common thing to see. And one thing you definitely improved on is your usage of brown eggs as opposed to white ones, it both felt more accurate to the original source material and let the eyes stand out. The effort going in to cracking that egg, as mentioned earlier, is either impressive or just some good luck.
Improvements
The background is your biggest area that could use improvement in this image, as it is currently a featureless plane with a reflective material. Create a story within your image and give context to improve your future images.
Results
This is fairly borderline, but your cracked egg makes me feel you eked in over the line. You also made Lychee laugh, so bonus points for that. Have yourself an exeggcute.
