Babby's first contest and hoo boy was it an interesting one. SE forgot that Draining Kiss doesn't copy in RSE, but it cut Rotom off from getting a pretty good copy in the process. Copy-blocking continued as Fenris had Garchomp ruin another of Rotom's appeals. A late crowd boost and excellent Hex play moved Rotom up the pecking order, but Gardevoir's lead ensured the victory.

Clefable had some issues early on because Evan was distracted, but a clutch copy chain allowed it to catch up with Togekiss's high appeals and smart plays. Muk mostly kept the others in line by holding the CM back and Swampert just didn't manage to catch up.

The crowd might as well not have existed throughout this entire contest. Most of it was based on position play and copy timing. Gengar appealed high whenever possible and copied when it wasn't; everyone executed copies wherever they could get a good one in. Salamence jostled a few times with Dragon Tail but didn't make too much of the new combo opportunities with that move.

Lots of fun with exploiting ORAS mechanics for positioning. Flareon consistently gave moderate appeals, allowing it to tail behind Ribombee and Spiritomb, who were having lots of fun taking notes from each other and copying off each other when they could. Pidgeot played like the moves were RSE, which didn't help it out as much.

Porygon2 knew exactly when to copy and Cubchoo played a game of high-appeal combos, earning both of them high spots. Politoed tried to ride the combo high as well, but neutral combos and a lackluster finish left it behind. Jolteon mostly did damage control, using Wish to prevent the crowd from turning the tide one way or another.

Arcanine got a good Sunny Day -> Morning Sun combo; not even a ruthless attack on the CM boost it earned in Round Three could stop its reign of terror. Ghost Witch had a lot of high appeals that played to the crowd, while Rocket and Togekiss did their best but didn't get as much of a chance to appeal high.

Kyogre had control of the contest from pretty much the very beginning, snagging CM bonuses and riding the tide of position one as much as it possibly could. Oddish got rocketed ahead by a +8 Moonlight; Lanturn tried a lot of startles but ended up having to use Oddish to boost it ahead of Charizard.

A dragon wins a Cool contest and no one is surprised. In seriousness, there were a few surprises here - Jolteon got a CM boost apropos of very little, and the whole leaderboard was turned around at the end when both dragons cut loose with Outrage. Mr. Mime got a great copy from the aforementioned CM boost, helping launch it near the top.

Alice powerhoused the competition, using Dragon Rush to set up for a position-four Dragon Rage combo that also happened to pop off on top of a CM boost. The other competitors were no slouches - Mr. Mime jockeyed for copies, Hydreigon had fun with combos, and Gardevoir fought hard to position herself well and check the others.
