Here we have two phenomenal stories that raced neck and neck to the finish line. Both writers are obviously of extreme talent - Clash King Dan is a new writer here and absolutely blew away the audience with his tale of twisted adventure. Harry's tale of lasting love in a dying world captured and captivated our hearts, forever and ever. Major thanks to you voters, the survivors of these heart-shattering stories. WWC RESULTS

AHHHH we're here, we're finally here! So many months of dreaming and reading and voting have finally come down to this: the results of YOUR 2014 Winter Writing Competition! Before we begin with the results, I just want to extend a major congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's competition. From the writers to the voters to the people standing by and cheering inbetween, we really had a showing of SO much love for the word. The enthusiasm was always welcome, and the community supporting each other through this competition was unreal! Kudos to all of you, URPGers!

Now, let's begin the ending.

In 3rd place, we have...

WOW WOW, this man's a great writer and battler to his very bone! His haunting tale really captured our hearts as we floated in beautiful descriptions and quite the riveting storyline. For his excellent story, Liam may now claim a Hard-ranked Pokemon of his choosing and $5,000, on top of his voting money! WOOHOO!

In 2nd place, we have...

Ely's stories are always a complete joy to have at our community. She shocks her audience every single time with the intensity of her themes, descriptions from a beautiful, terrifying planet unknown to silly mortals like us, and phenomenal characters that never quite leave us. And for her amazing piece, Elysia may now claim a Complex-ranked Pokemon of her choosing and $8,000! YEEEE!

Where do I even begin in describing how incredible this story was to our readers?... HKim took us to deep places in our hearts that we never knew existed. We all grew a little through his story of Pokemon's relationships and their harrowing adventures together. It was so HKim, in that the art piece was moving, committed, beautiful, and utterly outstanding. And it's no surprise that HKim may now claim a temporary Legendary Pokemon or his choosing or a demanding-ranked Pokemon, as well as $10,000 on top of his voting money! WOOOO! Congratulations, Harry!

Voters, come close: this competition would not be possible without you. And you all inspired me every time I opened a wonderful message in my inbox to hear about how much somebody loved a story. I love you all. And now voters, come to claim a scrumptious 3k from this final voting round:

These stories were really amazing and I greatly enjoyed peeking back into the URPG for this competition. Many of you guys have some serious talent. :)
