Happy New Year!

The Story Section would like to welcome 2015 with a special event: from now until Sunday, January 18th at 11:59 P.M. CST, Hoenn Pokemon that are Hard-Rank or above will receive a rank-down! For Hoenn Pokemon of the Hard, Complex, Demanding, or Merciless rank, this is essentially a free Story Pass. For those unfamiliar with story passes, a story pass lowers the rank of a Pokemon, resulting in reduced minimum character requirements and guideline expectations.

Hoenn Pokemon that are Medium-Rank or lower will not change in this temporary period. At the bottom of this thread is an updated list of Hoenn Pokemon for your convenience. But first, there's a few rules!

Rules:

- This temporary rank-down applies to the Pokemon listed below only (Hoenn Pokemon).
- This operates separately from the WWC. You may enter a story that targets a Hoenn Pokemon into the competition, but you also don't have to.
- You may write for a maximum of five Hoenn Pokemon during this time.
- You cannot post a new story for a Hoenn Pokemon if you have another WIP for a different Hoenn Pokemon.
- You cannot use a Story Pass in addition to the rank-down that's already happening.
- The rank-down will apply from now until the bolded time above; however, if your story is not graded in time, no worries! As long as your story is completed and posted before the closing date, it applies for the rank-down.
