GYM TOURNAMENT 2015

Unlike Chainy last year, I am not rising from the grave to host the annual Gym Tournament. Instead, I am here to provide you with your annual dosage of drama amongst gym leaders and drama in general as we complain about things an intense competition to see who the best gym leader is in the URPG while shedding lots and lots of blood! Also OI is still banned. Sorry, not sorry.

Hopefully the lots and lots of blood makes up for the lack of OI. Because there will be blood.

Rules:
- You must post in this thread using the below form to confirm that your Gym is participating in this tournament.
- You may only use Pokemon you use in your Gym (owned or rented). If your line-up changes during the tournament, you will have to use the Pokemon that are on your signup sheet.
- All battles and matchups will be determined completely randomly, avoiding any type bias. Rolls will be done on AIM.
- This is an elimination tournament. That means if you lose, you're out.
- If there is an issue with time zones then make sure you contact me as soon as possible and we'll set up a date and time for you to battle your opponent, or for me to approve a forum battle until you can get on AIM/Skype to finish it.
- Defeating a Gym Leader in this tournament does not grant you their badge.
- All battles will take place on AIM/Skype and not the forum to ensure they are done quickly. The goal is to have each round take no longer than ten days. A forum battle will be approved if the battlers cannot catch each other online for whatever reason, but the battlers must come to me first as the forum battle is the last resort to get the battle done in a reasonable amount of time.
- Orange Island Gyms are still not allowed to compete. I'm still sorry, but not really.

Battle Rules
All battles during this tournament will be 6v6. Below are the default rules for all battles.

X/Y Private Preview (may be changed to X/Y Private Full if both battlers agree)
Items On (may be changed to Items Off if both battlers agree)
No Weather / Default Terrain
SLP/FRZ/OHKO/ACC/EVA Clauses On

Schedule
Signups go from when this is posted until 11:59pm EST on December 16th. Assuming all goes well, after that each round will last between seven and ten days. I'm going to be really strict on that ten-day upper limit, so make sure you get battles done before the specified dates in each round's thread, or you have at least contacted me to let me know what the deal is. If battles are done before the deadline, I will post the new round sooner, but if they have to go to the ten day limit, then that's fine too.

As a note, I will not be chasing people to do their battles. I don't feel like it's my place to do that, and that's time I could be devoting to something else. Please, please, please contact me as soon as scheduling a battle becomes an issue. Do not wait until the day before the round ends to talk to me. If AIM and/or Skype say I'm online, I am, even if I'm not actively chatting. (And even if my Skype is set to Do Not Disturb, I'm still around, but I'm playing League of Legends and will still respond as soon as I possibly can.) Even if I'm offline, I do still get offline messages and will respond to them if need be. You can even send me a PM or VM on any of the three forums as I check all three on a regular basis, and I also get an email notification for PMs I get. There is absolutely no reason why you should not be able to contact me if there's an issue with getting a time and date arranged for your battle. If you fail to contact me before the round ends, I will be advancing the person who is more active. I'm not going to chase participants around and make sure they're doing their battles. That said, I am going to post a reminder about halfway through the week to remind those that have yet to complete their battles that they need to do so or contact me as soon as possible.

Battles that have been started prior to the week ending but are incomplete by the time the week ends (and are not currently in the process of being completed) will have a winner determined based on the current state of the battle, if possible. Extensions will be minimal, so don't count on them.

Prizes

First Place Prize:
- If you have any Rented Pokemon, you may choose one of those Pokemon to become Owned in addition to any EMs you have on them, and 3 more TMs on top of these.
- If all of your Pokemon are Owned, you can claim any non-Legendary Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type with 3 TMs on it.
- If you own all the Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type then you may pick any non-Legendary Pokemon with 3 TMs on it.

Second Place Prize:
- If you have any Rented Pokemon you may choose one of these Pokemon to become Owned in addition to any EMs you already have on them.
- If all of your Pokemon are Owned you may claim one Complex-level or lower Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type.
- If you own all the Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type you may claim a Complex-level or lower Pokemon.

Third Place Prize:
- If you have any Rented Pokemon you may choose one of these Pokemon to become Owned in addition to any EMs you already have on them, as long as their lowest-evolved form is Medium-ranked or lower.
- If you have Rented Pokemon but none of their lowest-evolved forms is Medium-ranked or lower, you may choose one Medium-level or lower Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type.
- If all of your Pokemon are Owned you may claim one Medium-level or lower Pokemon of your Gym's (or chosen) type.
