The results have been tallied up!! In a moment I will announce those skilled few who have managed to earn points and bring their WAR Teams closer to victory!!
Before that, however, there are some issues I would like to address. Namely, battle dodging. More specifically, don't. do. it. Seriously. Come on, guys, it's a game there's really nothing to be afraid of. Stand up to people you don't think you can beat, and you'll only get better! I would like to take this moment to personally say thank you to Sou Cleife who has honestly really impressed me with her activity this week. I've seen too many times where people who lose a lot in the beginning just start giving up or being way to harsh on themselves for silly mistakes. Sou has not let this damper her spirits (she always seems to be in a good mood) and she continues battling regardless of her opponent and regardless of what she thinks the outcome will be. This is the kind of attitude that makes the URPG Battling Section a pace of growth and fun even with WAR aside.
To that end, I am going to award Sou with an additional 5K for outstanding sportsmanship this week.
Back to the battle-dodging. Stahp. It's not good. To be clearer on the things I've heard:
-"I'd rather ref." This is a lame excuse especially if there are other refs around. I can and will remove the reffing point if this continues to be an issue. I can also up the battle-requirements.
-Flat out ignoring. The best solution if someone does this to you: IM them privately. DO NOT HARASS, but make sure they 100% know you are trying to talk to them
nicely. Sometimes it's just a case of misunderstanding.
-"I don't think I can beat you." Booooooooooooooo. Yuck, stinky, dog poop, no. That is not how things work. This is how things work: If you can accept a battle with Felly or Sou Cleife or SoulMaster or Mikey or Seppe or Mr. Smellybuttnosefakemember, then you can accept a battle with Ash K., Fawkes., Prince Vultan, WinterVines, Champion Diantha-whoever-under-the-sun. You can't pick and choose. Sorry, but you can't. Yes, it is about having fun!! But we want
everyone (yes, including Ash!!) to have fun. And when you battle dodge, then not everyone has fun. Capiche? Capiche. Okay, cool. Rant over. Cool stuff time.
I based all point calculations on
this spreadsheet. If you wanna recount and dispute it, then by all means. (Actually, pls dont this was a pain in the tuchus to count ;-;).
Aaaand of course, we have Ref wages for this Week. Thank you all for doing what you do and helping to keep our section thriving and exciting! Don't forget that reffing is only half of the Battle-Section though!!
