Thread: Budget Tournament 2014: Semifinals

The Round 3 purchasing period is now open. Each advancing player will receive 25K for Pokemon and 50K for other amenities. Reminder that you must have 6 Pokemon for this Round's Battles or you will be disqualified. The period for Round 2 Battles is closed. With TieSoul and Synthesis not having completed their battle, Synthesis will advance to the next round due to evidence that he attempted to schedule a battle on multiple occasions with no reply. This also, unfortunately, means that TieSoul does not receive his 10K entrance fee. Also, rather than guarantee you a prize without having battled, Syn, I'm going to say that you have to win at least 1 battle and participate in at least 2 in order to receive a prize. Win both and get 1st; win the first and lose the second get 2nd; lose the first win the second get 3rd; lose both and you get nothing. This is just to be fair, and I have no doubt that you'll walk away with something! =] As always, everyone, don't forget to make your purchases and update your budget stats this time by October 25th at 11:59pm EST. (8:59pm for the West Coast, 10:59pm Central, October 26th at 4:59am for most of Europe, and October 26th at 3:59pm for Australia.) Good luck!

The purchasing period for the Semifinals is now closed. The match-ups have been rolled and are as follows:

Ataro vs. Fawkes.
Synthesis vs. CommBA

The rules for Round Robin Battles are:
6v6
XY Private Preview/XY Private Full
Helds On(Can be turned off if agreed on by both battlers)
Evasion/Accuracy/Sleep/Freeze/One-Hit-Knock-Out Clauses On
No Starting Weather
Building Terrain

Refs can post their logs for Round 2 Tournament Battles in this thread.
Payout for these battles will be 3K per winner, 1.5K + 10K entrance fee per loser, and 3K per referee. The ref will always receive 3K no matter how many Pokemon are used by each player. The same rules apply to splitting pay if the ref can't finish a battle.

Participants have until Sunday, November 9th at 11:59pm EST to complete their battles (Monday, November 10th at 4:59am for the UK; Sunday at 8:59pm for West Coast US; 10:59pm for Central US; and Monday, November 10th at 3:59pm for Australia). As usual, you must make a reasonable effort to schedule your battles by then, or you will not be refunded your 10K entrance fee. If you have a legitimate reason for being unable to complete your battle, please let me know and I may consider an extension of a day or two.

After Semifinal Battles are done, there will be a 4-day purchasing period before the start of the Finals. These purchases will be sent to me privately. However, you will still be required to update your stats once the battling period begins and purchases close. The two victorious battlers in the Semifinals will move on to the Finals, while the two who lose will battle for third place. (If the third place battle does not occur, neither player will receive a prize unless extraneous circumstances are present.)


EDIT: Sorry for not realizing this sooner, but unfortunately Synthesis is disqualified for not having enough Pokemon in his roster to fit the battle rules. Therefore, a round robin will be held among Fawkes, CommBA, and Ataro. If the round robin ends in a tie, then another purchasing period will be held privately and a second round robin will be done and so on until we have a clear winner. (Hopefully you guys won't keep tying <.< ) I have also extended the battling period since you each essentially have 2 battles to complete now.
