    Battle Factory: Round 1

I'm a bit of a rush right now, but I'm posting this just to get the bracket out so people can start setting up challenges now

Battle Factory - Challonge is the bracket. Try to contact your opponents in the next 2-3 days. You have until next Sunday at Midnight PST to get the battles done.

I'll clean this up and add mentions to all participants in a little bit.

Hi guys, I've made a bracket for all of you to look at and see your matches. You have until next Sunday @ Midnight PST to get your battles done. I'm going to really be on everyone's case about contacting opponents early so please try to get them done. Reminder that if you finish your battle, if you were to lose you get your 10k back. Under no other circumstances will you get your money back (that means no forfeiting or anything). The teams have all been posted in the original thread on the first page. Be sure to start strategizing! Also, don't forget that if you have a Pokemon that can MegaEvolve, you may use the corresponding MegaStone free of charge. Refs log your battles here and mention whether the winner switches out a Pokemon.

Feel free to post your predictions in the other thread!

    All battles are:

    4 vs 4
BW Revolution (unless both battlers agree for DPPt Revo)
    Helds allowed
Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause

    Spoiler:

With my battle finishing, I'm going to finish the Round. The 4 battles that were not completed are being decided as follows, as discussed by me and Monbrey:

@pman; / @Dinobot; : Pman is moving on to the next round, Dinobot is not being refunded. Neither of you made any attempt to show me that you scheduled the battle. Pman mentioned to me one day on AIM that you two had sort of talked about maybe battling, but I tagged you both in the other post and neither tried to contact me or explain the situation to me. So, since it's useless to just disqualify both of you, I rolled for it. Monbrey witnessed. Get your next battle done or you will not get your refund either.

@Lovecraft; / @Taither; : Lovecraft is moving on to the next round, and Taither is not given a refund of the 10k. Lovecraft told me he attempted to VM you with no response, and you made no attempt to contact me or your opponent, in fact you haven't even been on since the 4th...

@TheProtobabe; / @Dog of Hellsing; : Dog of Hellsing advances, Proto is given a refund of the 10k. This is a little bit more of a complicated scenario. You both tried to contact each other, but because of conflicting schedule, you weren't able to make it work. Proto had an emergency come up, which I am totally understanding and compassionate of, in fact, what I picked up was going on, I actually went through recently myself. I'm sorry that something like that has to happen and hope it all works out. Unfortunately, it seems that your battle won't happen regardless of how much time that I give you simply because of how conflicting your schedules are. Because you were the one who was unable to battle most of the days, I have to give the win to DoH.

For the above three battles, I've come up with a median way to allow you to update your lineup without a huge disadvantage:

You will be able to switch 1 Pokemon from your lineup with 1 from your opponents under the following condition: you may only swap a Pokemon out at most 1 Tier higher. To break it down:

Tier 4 Pokemon can only be swapped for a Tier 3/4 Pokemon
Tier 3 Pokemon can only be swapped for Tier 2/3/4 Pokemon
Tier 2 Pokemon can be swapped for any Pokemon
Tier 1 Pokemon can be swapped for any Pokemon

I believe that is the fairest way to allow you to progress in the tournament without losing any huge advantage, while still accounting for the fact that you didn't actually have to battle to get through to the next round.

@TieSoul; / @Eridanus; - TieSoul advances, Eridanus is eliminated, but given a full refund. I think your forum battle is proof at the ineffectiveness of the forum battle system. In this battle it was a tough call between the two of you since I don't think there was really one of you with a full advantage (I believe it could have gone either way depending on how Eridanus was able to do Reuniclus v Garchomp), but I'm giving the win to Tie because he had more Pokemon and also the battle was waiting on Eridanus's send for several days. I really wish you two could've finished your battle, but I don't want to keep this tournament hung up. I'm going to call the battle as a full battle, so normal payouts of 3k to Tie / 1.5 to Eridanus / 3k to Swift. Tie you can make your swap as though the battle had been completed normally.

The winners should make their swaps in this thread, and those who are eligible for their discounts can claim in this thread or the main thread. Try to do your swaps by Tuesday Midnight GMT-7, otherwise you won't be able to make the swap. I'll have the next round up soon and post wages too.
