Welcome Trainers to the Battle Factory. Before entering we request that you leave all of the Pokemon you have with you at your door. You won't be needing them here. Instead, we will be distributing Pokemon to you all for your use in this tournament. We will be testing your ability to experiment with new Pokemon and strategies. Good luck!
Pokemon
When you enter the tournament you will be randomly given one Tier 1 Pokemon, one Tier 2 Pokemon, two Tier 3 Pokemon, and two Tier 4 Pokemon. All Pokemon will be randomly rolled in the URPG Blast Chat with moderators and officials viewing. This can let you guys strategize and laugh at SLC getting something bad. All Rented Pokemon have access to all Extra Moves and Hidden Abilities. You can only use your Rented Pokemon in the tournament. Make sure you strategize your team ahead of time!

Rules of Battle
All battles will be:
4 vs 4
BW Revolution
Helds allowed
Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause
The semi-finals will be 5 vs 5 and the finals will be 6 vs 6. All battles must be held over AIM, sorry but forum battles are simply too slow.
If both battlers agree, the battle can be DPPt Revolution instead of BW Revolution.
You may equip you own hold items to your Pokemon for the tournament. Remember to select the Hidden Power Type of each of your Pokemon before each battle by sending them to the ref (alongside Gender, Ability, and Hold), otherwise you won't be able to use Hidden Power. Genders can change between battles. Additionally, we've decided that if you receive a Pokemon that can Mega Evolve, you will be able to borrow a Mega Stone from our storage for use in this tournament (though you are not forced to use it!)
Battle Payouts
Winner: $3000
Loser: $1500
Refs: $3000 (3500 for semis and 4000 for finals)
Furthermore, when a Player wins their Match they have the choice to swap one Pokemon from their team they used for that Battle with one Pokemon the Opponent used in the Battle. After that point, they can use that Pokemon as their own. Make sure to let your ref know which Pokemon you are swapping! Referees be sure to mention in your log if a battler switched one of his Pokemon, and which ones.
Referees will have wages posted after each round of the tournament.
Prizes
First place will receive, - 2 of their rented Pokemon along with 3 TMs to use however they see fit.
Second place will receive - 1 of their rented Pokemon along with 3 TMs to use however they see fit.
Third & Fourth place will both receive - 1 of their rented Pokemon.
Prizes may be increased depending on participation (though I doubt it because those are some nice prizes!)
Additional Rules:
In order to enter this tournament, you must pay $10,000 to the Battle Factory as a security deposit on the rental of our Pokemon. However, don't fret! When you are eliminated from the tournament, you will be returned your entrance fee. Note: if you are eliminated for missing your battle you will not be refunded, so get your battles done! (You also get refunded if you win.)
Furthermore, if you've joined the URPG within 1 month of when sign ups close (so anytime between February 7th and now), you can be eligible to have your fee waived! All you have to do is show us that you have at least 4 Pokemon in your possession (including your starter) and you will be able to enter the Tournament free of charge! If this applies to you, post a link to your stats in your signup and I will approve your waived fee.
