Post in here if you have any questions or comments about the Event. I'll start it off with one.

Two weeks doesn't seem very long for a Park event. What happens if that's not enough time?

Park Events almost always run over-time, which is a huge pain for everyone involved. This Capture Contest is hopefully going to be a Park analogue to the bi-annual Story Competitions. However, this is the first time that anything like this has been tried before, and we are aware that there will be issues and problems to fix, and that one of these might be the strict timeline. If this is found to be the case (i.e. a fair few people haven't finished at the end of the two week deadline) we may extend the contest, although we absolutely will not do so past a month.

If you're already in the Park, are you not allowed to sign up for the event? Really interested, but don't want to null the Team run for this either.

By all means, please sign up ^^ The one-Expedition limit does not count Event Runs, so even if you're smack-bang in the middle of a run currently you can still enjoy this one as well.

Does the Pokémon you put up to be judged have to be the same 'mon that you withdraw from the Park (assuming that you meet the withdrawal criteria for said 'mon)?

It does not. If you catch a Chingling and a Mightyena and submit the Mightyena for judging, you may withdraw the Chingling.

So as of yesterday I finished my RP and was wondering when we add the Pokemon we've caught to our stats. Is it after the run or after the Event? From the wording of the rules it seems like after the Judging (aka after the Event), but I just wanted to make sure.

Also, do we need to do a final post stating which Mon we're claiming like in regular RPs?

Yes, you have to wait until after the Judging, because the Judging is where the Judges decide how many points your run is worth, and that affects what Pokemon you can bring out. I think the neatest way to do it is for everyone to do a final post in their run where they choose the Pokemon to be Judged. Then, the Judges tally up the points and they list who can claim what Pokemon.

Just a note, everyone: When you've completed your Event Run, if you've captured more than one Pokemon, please post in your run to say which Pokemon you'd like to be Judged.

The Contest will be extended for exactly one week, which means it will now finish on the 27th of February.

Hey, it's Ttex! Good to see you around again!

The idea is that this will be biannual, although once the judging has taken place we'll ask for people's opinions of the event and update it accordingly. For example, something that will probably change is the ban on healing moves.

I think healing moves should be allowed. We could maybe just not allow healing (of moves or items) in between battles. It has to take up a turn.

I also think that it might've been a little too easy. Could we extend the encounters a little? Maybe seven or ten would be better. It would also prevent that thing from happening where the Trainer just catches the one thing they want and then skip all the rest, hoping they have enough points to keep it.

The PPPP is kind of silly in hindsight, since this event focuses more on battling than the RP aspect.

How about removing common Pokemon from the list next time?
