    Most of the other trainers have already set out on their runs a few hours ago, but that's alright. You know that you've still got the chance to spot a pokemon that you'd want to take with you. With this knowledge in tow, you carefully step towards Mount Deckbi. Unfortunately for you, it is currently raining. Weather forecasts have predicted rain for the next few hours or so, so you have no choice but to push through. In this weather, it might be your best bet to go through one of the many caverns in the area, but who knows? Maybe you'll spot something cool along the main trail.

    As you trudge along the soggy ash, you notice the relative silence in the park and wonder if something's amiss. There's only one way to find out, and that's by taking your first step in today's run. Will you explore one of the dark caves or will you hike along the path that leads straight to the top of the volcano?

    @Sky Lark;

    Off in a other journey I am, this time for a contest. This contest is known by the name of the Easter Capture Contest, most of the other trainers already were in the park but not me, I didn't hear about it till I got told by a friend of mine yesterday. I immediately signed up very happily, I was not sure about the rules at first. But then learned 1 Pokemon Free items and pokemon to catch! and was very happy, I am now riding on a bike on the way to Mount Deckbi. Unfortunately for me it is now raining and with 2 hours more worth of rain predicted it was going to be a long day.

    I am now just centimeters now of reaching my destination, Flareon was out earlier but it doesn't like the rain so decided it would be best for it to go back to its Pokeball. Now i am here, the National Park's Mount Deckbi. It seemed my ranger was here, I said “Hi I'm Smith Wells, lets go catch some Pokemon” then laughed. I had no idea why I took this approach, I guess I was just in a funny mood.

    The ranger, holding a slightly tattered umbrella, nods, acknowledging your arrival. He hands you a small backpack with some supplies and quickly brings you up to speed, telling you that today's run was going to be slightly different from normal expeditions through the park. Instead of guiding you and leading you to various pokemon, he was only going to follow you and make sure you didn't get into trouble. Today, you would have the reins and be free to do (mostly) whatever you wanted.

    As you contemplate this, the ranger gestures, implying that it was time to get going. Not long after you start walking, the ranger hollers from a few steps behind you, diverting your attention towards a small, bipedal pokemon with a small flame burning on its back. Its clearly not enjoying the rain as it runs towards one of the nearby caves. You have a choice between following it or hoping to avoid its attention.

    @Sky Lark;

    The ranger gave me a bag full of the items then explained to me that this run would be different the ranger would only be making sure I didn't get into trouble, basically I had lots of freedom to do whatever I wanted well not what I wanted but close to that.

    Then the ranger makes a signal and we get going, not long after we get going we encounter a Cyndaquil, at least it looked like that with the big flames on its back, the usual small body of a Cyndaquil. It was clear it didn't like the rain, it was running to the nearby cave. Since it was a fire type it wouldn't be enjoying the rain. That much was clear. It would be my choice, to let it get into the cave, hoping we don't disturb it or battle it. I thought this through carefully it would be good to battle a fire type but it could be pretty tough.

    In the end I decided to battle it, I loved fire types and this was no exception. Something about the Pokemon I just seemed to like, it looked different than other fire types. “ Flareon, lets go” I shouted throwing Flareon's pokeball. The fire fox then popped out. My Flareon has a weird mark that was different from all others but looked the same in distance, even close it was hardly recognizable. “Flareon lets start with a Smog attack so Cyndaquil cant see, then a Bite” Flareon nodded then turned.

    I had used this strategy before except with Fire Blast not Bite, the main idea of this attack was for Cyndaquil to not see what was coming, basically to trick him. I wanted to avoid using fire type moves because they were not very effective, the best way to win would be with non fire type moves. Then Flareon got ready to use Smog. I turned to the ranger, I wondered what she thought of this strategy.

    You order your pokemon to attack before the Cyndaquil is able to get out of the rain. Opening its mouth wide, the Flareon violently exhales, producing a noxious cloud of gas. The dark hazy cloud starts surrounding the wild pokemon, making it cough and sputter. Realizing it is under attack, the Cyndaquil's flame erupts violently, clearing some of the smog away. Unfortunately, as your pokemon attempts to attack by sneakily rushing through the smog, the Cyndaquil notices the fire which surrounds your pokemon, alerting it to its oncoming attacker. The Cyndaquil quickly uses a Swift attack, causing multiple bright stars of energy to go flying into your pokemon's direction. Afterwards, it curls up into a ball, bolstering its defenses just before your Flareon manages to sink its teeth into the Cyndaquil's hind leg.

    Your ranger merely stands there and watches the battle. He's ready to jump into action if anything too drastic happens though. He smirks a little, thinking that the strategy would've worked better if a different pokemon had used it.

    @Sky Lark; Sorry for the wait completely forgot about this :(

    Flareon then started attacking, the Cyndaquil hadn't been able to get out of the rain. Flareon then opened its mouth and produced a could of gas. The Cyndaquil then got surrounded by the gassy cloud making it cough. Cyndaquil then noticed what was happening and its flame started to erupt, clearing some smog away but thankfully not all. Flareon then tried to sneak in but Cydaquil sensed it and used Swift. Stars came out flying doing damage to Flareon. It then curled up, I recolonized the move it used Defense Curl. Flareon then finally using bite, getting Cyndaquil's leg. It looked like it done a lot of damage.

    This Cyndaquil was tough using Swift to deal damage then Defense Curl to protect itself I had to think, what move would be best. I would have to have my thinking brain on, sure there were some moves that would do a lot of damage but still i wanted to find the best one.

    So many moves to choose from so little time to think, sure I could use a fire move but I had a feeling it would hardly effect it. Then when I thought of all the moves I could use one stood out, Hyper Voice. It was a attack were Flareon made a loud noise and it would create shock waves that would hurt Cydaquils ears, at least that's what I thought it did .

    Noticing i had not told Flareon what to do yet I called out “Flareon use Hyper Voice, show that Cyndaquil how tough you are” Flareon would win this battle. I was sure of it.

    The rain fully dissipates the smog which had partially settled on the field. After a bit of deliberation, you command your pokemon to use Hyper Voice. In response, both of Flareon's ears start to roll up. After taking a deep breath, the Flareon starts shouting at the top of its voice. As it shouts, rings of energy start emanating from its mouth and move towards the Cyndaquil, which is still curled up in a ball. Feeling the force of the attack, the cyndaquil starts rolling around, gaining speed, but it's acceleration is hampered by the uneven terrain and the constant pulses of energy which are pushing it back. Tiny flames surround the wild pokemon, making the Rollout attack appear to be a miniature Flame Wheel. A few moments pass before the Cyndaquil garners a considerable speed and Cyndaquil heads for your pokemon. Upon contact, your pokemon is thrown back a few paces while the Cyndaquil continues rolling about.

    @Sky Lark;

    The rain went into the smog, some of the smog settled down on the field. Flareon then took a big breath and started shouting as loud as he can. Flareon's voice made sound waves go near the Cyndaquil - still curled up in a ball Cyndaquil received the attack quite well but it would still do tons of damage.

    Cyndaquil started rolling about, getting faster and faster but the uneven ground made it not accelerate as fast. Cyndaquil's Rollout looked more like a Flame wheel except maybe not as fiery. I think the reason for this was because Cyndaquil's flame on its back made it look more fiery. Cyndaquil then gained a little more speed and hut Flareon. Flareon got thrown a few steps back, then Cyndaquil continued rolling next time it came it would come with twice the speed.

    It was a tough position to be put in the next attack would be stronger, somehow I had to stop Cyndaquil it was difficult but i thought of something that might just work, using Superpower. It is a very powerful move that could be enough to stop Cyndaquil, it would also do lots of damage which was a plus. The more I thought about it the more confident I became that it would work.

    Finally I shouted out to Flareon “lets try to stop that Cyndaquil, lets use a very powerful move, Superpower.” This battle was certainly going to be interesting, my only worry was that the Cyndaquil wouldn't budge.

    OOC: I completely forgot to ask. What gender do you want for the Cyndaquil?

    The Cyndaquil circles around, preparing to attack your Flareon once more. Accelerating as it nears your pokemon, the Cyndaquil rams your pokemon straight on. However, this time around, your Flareon is able to hold its ground. It powerfully holds on to its spinning opponent, effectively slowing it down, and proceeds by throwing its opponent in the air. The Cyndaquil hits the ground with a loud thud, causing it to angrily cry out. To your relief, it has stopped its Rollout attack. However, the Cyndaquil’s bolstered defenses have reduced the damage the attack caused.

    Battle Statistics:
    Cyndaquil 59.88% (Def+1) Used Rollout l Flareon 73.68% (Atk-1, Def-1)Used Superpower

    @Sky Lark; Male also yay 2.5k characters :D

    Cyndaquil then circled round and prepares to attack, I believed in Flareon and as long as I did Flareon would surely believe he could. Cyndaquil was now rolling very fast going straight ahead until he met Flareon. Flareon was ready with it holding its ground the Cyndaquil came into contact, Flareon was actually stopping him I couldn't believe it. Flareon powerfully held it ground and slowed Cyndaquil down. Cyndaquil slowed down a lot, then it was Flareon's turn, his turn to attack.

    Flareon then threw Cyndaquil up in the air, this was the Superpower attack, it didn't look like you would expect it to. Cyndaquil then descended as fast as he had gone up dropping into the ground along with a thudding noise. Cyndaquil then cried out angrily, I guess it wouldn't try rolling again. I was very happy Flareon had done lots of damage as well as stop Cyndaquil rolling.

    Flareon had a lot of move that weren't fire type but most of them where used. I wanted to use Bite but I feared Cyndaquil would know as soon as Flareon started using it as he would remember it. I would have to think this one through, it was hard. But at the same time exciting, this Cyndaquil was tough but Flareon was tougher. And I knew it.

    Thinking about what moves to use I thought of a few techniques I could use, a Yawn Strength combination which would put Cyndaquil to sleep then Strength to do damage but this had its flaws. I also thought of a Yawn Synchronoise combination, it would put Cyndaquil to sleep and do damage to but if i used this it would be through a shock wave not threw contact. Both Strength and Synchronoise were very powerful moves, it would be hard to choose.

    But the main factor would be what Cyndaquil did not only did I have to worry about what move was best but this Cyndaquil, what moves he used. Boy was it tough but I would never give up. Not now, not ever. I was sure Flareon wouldn't give up either

    Everything was hard, I had finally decided the Yawn Synchronoise Combination was best, I called it SleepSynchro . It was for the best, if I used Strength instead Cyndaquil could do something before I could attack even while sleeping. Flareon would like the combination for sure, without hesitation I then called out “ Flareon, use Yawn to put Cyndaquil to sleep then Synchronoise to do damage, SleepSynchro.” Flareon then nodded in excitement, I got the feeling he liked the idea. Being relaxed as Flareon was he wouldn't be worried about anything. The next few attacks from Cyndaquil would be certainly be interesting.

    OOC: I’m not sure if you taught your Flareon Synchronoise, but if you did, I’m pretty sure you did it after this run started. You can’t use EMs that you didn’t have when you started the run.

    You consider your choices for a moment, but while you’re thinking, the Cyndaquil decides to go on the offensive. It runs straight into your Flareon and furiously claws at it, managing to get in a good amount of hits before your Flareon manages to fend it off. Your Flareon loftily yawns, releasing a large amount of colorful bubbles into the air. The Cyndaquil curiously nudges a few, causing it to become drowsy. Before it falls asleep, however, it manages to dig a tiny hole and goes underground. Your Flareon, on the other hand, tries to use Synchronoise, but all it manages to do is squeak. Frustrated, your Flareon looks over the mound of dirt, knowing that its opponent won’t surface for quite some time.
