Ranger A. Silverswift-- wait, no! Ranger Chimey!

OOC: I really couldn't be bothered making a long post. ;x

"Ugh, I don't feel so well... and I was going to go on this run to the Outer Heavens and everything!" a voice exclaimed weakly. The person who owned that voice, one Argent Silverswift, was obviously very ill, and thus unable to go on a run he had claimed earlier that day, but the trainer wouldn't be here for a while. Both Argent and Chimey were at the Outer Heavens outpost at that moment, although Argent was really feeling nauseous and Chimey knew he shouldn't be subjected to the run, least of all to the journey that they had to take to get up to the Outer Heavens - flying when one is sick is a very hazardous business, and getting vomit on one's head is very disconcerting on any day. So, Chimey, finding she couldn't do anything with her moves to heal him, gave up and asked Assan - Argent's Floatzel - to mind him for now as she would be taking the Trainer on a run, something Argent advised against. Chimey ignored him, though, and swiftly went out of the door without another word to Argent.

Once outside, she looked into the sky for the Outer Heavens, and felt that this would be a perfect day for flying. It was quite sunny and everything, so she was pretty excited - of course, Chimey couldn't exactly 'fly' as such, but her Levitate ability allowed her to mimic flight, and at the very least she could hover up to Outer Heavens without much trouble. She waited for the trainer to come so that they could get a move on, and decided to call up Cassidy to come with her on the journey - Chimey and Cassidy were both Argent's Pokémon, Chimey being a Chimecho, somewhat smaller than Cassidy the Clefable. Both of them waited for a while.

"Alright, you ready Shadow?" I asked. My large black and orange hellhound looked up at me from his mini massage chair I had bought for him with my last Ranger paycheck. He knew I was about to ask him to come with me on this trip, even though he was relaxing. He knew that each time we had a day off it meant I was going into the park for new Pokemon. Shadow just nodded and slowly rose from his chair. Shadow let out a small bark, asking me which Pokemon I was taking.

"Hmm, not sure." I shrugged. "I'm just going in for Farfetch'd and maybe Murkrow. Though I'll take a few just in case something else interesting comes up. I guess I'll take Mindbender, obviously, and Rex's Hydreigon, Skullcruncher... and this one." The last Pokemon I was bringing was a legenedary Pokemon, Cobalion who I called Pointblank. He had just partnered up with me two days ago to help take down some poachers and agreed to come with me on this expedition. We managed to take them down and secure the area. It took a long while, but we did it. They were trying to poach Heatmor and Drilbur. When I heard that I quickly took the case. Heatmor was my favorite Pokemon, I couldn't allow this to happen. Of course if it were any other Pokemon I would help it as well, but Heatmor was special.

"Let's go see if Argent is ready." I called out to Shadow.

"He isn't. He is feeling sick," Rebecca, the assistant at the desk said to me.

"What, then who is taking me?" I asked. "I guess I could take myself." I was pretty sure I could get away with taking myself through the Park unsupervised. I could probably do whatever I wanted here and get away with it. Sam and Jess were pretty much away and left Me, Chain, and Winter in charge. I could take them though. Well, maybe not Winter, but I could outrun her. She did scare me at times and I tried to keep my distance when it was that time of the month... the time where she was in charge since we rotated. She always got the job done though, something I liked about her.

"His Pokemon are going with you, Chimey and Cassandra I think." She replied.

"Grreat." I mumbled. "An Elite Ranger getting taken through my Pokemon. I should be taking them. Let's go Shadow." As soon as I stepped out of the building, Pointblank shot out of his Pokeball.

"Where are we going?" He quickly asked.

"To the Outer Heavens, can you fly us there?" I asked.

"Yeah, I guess. This is what I do when I'm not protecting Mt. Deckbi." He joked. I quickly got on and Mindbender teleported Shadow up to the gate of the heavens. Pointblank shot up into the air and headed straight for the gates of Outer Heavens. Shadow was already waiting for us there, and so were Clefable and Chimecho.

I walked over to Clefable and shook her small hand. "I guess you're leading." I said to Clefable. "I'm Leo. Shall we get started?" I didn't wait for a response. I just pulled out my Pokeplayer and popped in a Farfetch'd disk and played it. I was really hoping I would get lucky. I knew Farfetch'd came out this early in the morning, I just hoped I could find one. Rex came out here to try and find one for me, but couldn't. He did find a nice Druddigon though, so it wasn't a total waste.

    Rangers Chimey and Cassidy.

Previously on 'Journey in the Outer Heavens':

Chimey decided that the best thing to do would be to wait for them up at the gates of the Outer Heavens themselves. She spread out her arms widely, the points of them being outlined in a purple aura as she prepared to both levitate upwards and lift Cassidy along with her, and then her eyes began to cast that eerie purple glow as well, and she concentrated on moving Cassidy alongside herself. She rose slowly upwards, and as she peered to her left she also noticed that Cassidy was floating right by her side. She twirled a little in the air, and found that Cassidy would twirl when she did. She smiled encouragingly at Cassidy, although the Clefable had no control over what she was doing, and Chimey knew how alarming that could be. Chimey sighed, increasing the speed of their rising.

Chimey, this feels kinda weird... Cassidy said - Chimey established a psychic link between the two whenever they were near.

I know, Cassidy. It'll only be for a few more moments, though. Chimey smiled once more, and then they began flying up at a much more increased pace.

They waited at the gates, and a few moments later their trainer appeared in front of them, having flown up on a Cobalion - Cobalion was a Legendary Pokémon, Chimey knew, and usually she had seen one at Mt. Oktori - why was it carrying a human on its back? Why was it even near the human? Chimey was not going to ask these questions to prevent herself from being rude, but did laugh a little tinkly laugh when the human fell off Cobalion's back and faceplanted on the floor. He got up, though, and dusted himself off. He walked over to Cassidy and shook her pink hand, and Chimey quickly established a psychic connection between everyone so both her and Cassidy could communicate with the trainer and his Pokémon.

"I guess you're leading," he said to Cassidy. "I'm Leo. Shall we get started?"

Chimey wasn't the least bit bothered that he hadn't noticed her as the intended leader - in fact, she was rather proud that this trainer chose Cassidy over her, as Cassidy was often shunted out of the limelight for Chimey to get attention. Cassidy beamed widely at him, a few bubbles - an unintentional, weak BubbleBeam - coming from her mouth in excitement. Chimey facepalmed unnoticeably, but otherwise paid no attention to the other mistakes that Cassidy made.

Hello, Leo. I am Cassidy, Argent's Clefable. I'll be leading you through this run, I suppose! Cassidy said, her voice ringing through all their minds as they were all connected now. We will move on now.

Cassidy skipped out front, and Chimey slunk behind Leo, levitating beside Cobalion in the hopes of getting to know a Legendary Pokémon more. Chimey became more and more amused as Leo fell over repeatedly, but he managed to get his Voice Disk to play - a squawking sound of some kind came from the speakers, and Chimey recognised it immediately as the cry of a Farfetch'd. A few moments later, and a real Farfetch'd cry rang out from nowhere in particular. Chimey knew that the trainer had gotten what he had came for, almost as soon as he had came for it, and Chimey wished that it was the same for her own trainer, who had seemingly bad luck when going through the Park, although he didn't seem to mind that much. Walking on across the platforms hanging in the sky which was home to a plethora of Flying-type Pokémon, they eventually encountered the Farfetch'd that had cried out earlier. It was brandishing a green Stick at Leo, thrashing it around.

Do you want to battle the Farfetch'd? Cassidy asked inquisitively, tones of happiness in her voice.

"Hello, Leo. I am Cassidy, Argent's Clefable. I'll be leading you through this run, I suppose!" Clefable said, shaking my hand. I then took my hand back and began playing my Pokeplayer. I felt lucky today. Maybe after this I would go to Meteor Valley for a Pokemon I still needed to catch, Audino.

Not even moments after I played my voice disk, a Farfetch’d came to me. I was pretty excited. I wasn’t sure why, but for some odd reason, I could feel this force pushing me down. I didn’t know what was happening, but I had a feeling a noob called Bouysell was behind this. He was pure evil. I looked at the Farfetch’d and nodded.

Do you want to battle the Farfetch'd? Cassidy asked. I felt like slapping her right then and there. Obviously I did. That was the main reason I had come here for. It said on my file if she had bothered to read it. I didn't want to be rude though because they seemed nice. It was Argent that was rude. I hadn't met anyone rude than Rex before, until I met Argent. That guy was something else.

“You’re damn right I do!” I called out. “Pointblank, want to take the lead in this? I know it isn’t incredibly strong like you, but I’m sure you can tone your power down and have some fun with this.” He looked at me, then at Farfecht’d.

“Well, I guess I haven’t had much fun lately, and a battle would be nice.” He said telepathically. “Alright then, I’ll battle. What shall I use?”

“Hmm, start with Leer and then go in with Sacred Sword. It shouldn’t hurt that little Farfetch’d too much. If anything, you can use Thunder Wave in the end, just to toy with it.” Cobalion grinned and his eyes began glowing dark red. I could tell this was Leer, and a damn good one at that.

I had seen him use Sacred Sword a couple of times, and it was quite remarkable. His two, golden brown horns on his head would glow a sparkly white color and they would quickly enlarge. It wasn’t like anything I’ve ever seen before… truly sacred like the name suggested. He would then quickly slash at Farfetch’d with his attack. Then began forming a large ball of blue electrical energy that would paralyze the opponent if it hit. I knew using Pointblank against Farfetch’d was a bit unfair, but it was pretty fun. Besides, it was good to see how a regular Pokémon reatced against a great Legendary Pokémon like Cobalion.

I remember the time when I fought against Rayquaza. It was a friendly battle, but a good one nonetheless. Of course we lost, but the battle was one that I would remember as long as I lived. Taught me a few things too, if I trained hard enough, there was a slight chance that I could beat him one day. I knew that day was coming.

I looked back to this battle and saw Pointblank begin his Sacred Sword attack. I missed Leer, so I wasn’t sure if it worked or not. Farfetch’d did look a little scared, but I wasn’t sure if that was because of Leer, or because he was fighting a Legendary Pokémon. Either way, Sacred Sword was about to be used. I was pretty sure it would do a good amount of damage, but I wasn’t sure how much. I just sat back with Shadow and waited for him to finish the moves. Perhaps I would even finish with this early and leave right after. Who knew. There was only one other time where a run was so easy, but that was when I was looking for Durant. I found it moments after starting my run. It was incredibly lucky.

    Rangers Chimey and Cassidy.

Chimey went along unknowingly, not aware of Leo's feeling that he wanted to slap Cassidy silly, because she wasn't in the least bit psychic nor did she want to grab the attention of Leo's Gardevoir, Mindbender (she knew that he had a Gardevoir from the files that she had obtained about his sign-up for the National Park run). She had encountered a Gardevoir called Mindbender before, and she had tapped into her owner's conversations with the Gardevoir to see what they were planning to do during the battle. She had even went to lengths to conceal herself, but this Gardevoir was far too powerful for her. Yup, it could easily beat her in a fight and could see through whatever Chimey was going to do, so Chimey simply floated along happily, unaware of anything that was going on around her. Obviously Cassidy was much more of a people person than she was, and definitely could handle this situation until the time that Leo had chosen to leave the Park, because Chimey was proud of Cassidy, who was normally a shy kind of Clefable until the time called for it, but she could be nice to those who deserved it, and she definitely felt that this trainer deserved being nice to.

Chimey didn't know that some outside force was making her avert looking into other peoples' thoughts like any natural psychic would, even by mistake, so she was happy for the time being. Cassidy was also very happy, and quite excited to see that Leo wanted to battle the Farfetch'd too. She wondered if the Farfetch'd was going to fight back, though, because it didn't look very intelligent to her. It was, in fact, hitting itself on the head with its stick, which didn't seem to be hurting it but rather just some repetitive thing, like you'd see cavemen doing in cartoons. Chimey was also thinking along these exact same sentiments, but waited for Leo to reply - she was excited to see that his Voice Disk had worked, but wasn't going to intrude on his thoughts to see exactly how he felt about it, as (this is just a fourth-wall comment) she might have discovered something in there that she didn't want to know. She knew that, like her trainer, she obviously got stressed out about the least of things and had gotten into trouble with some of Argent's colleagues for listening into their thoughts, apparently.

Chimey was glad she wasn't partaking in this battle, because she was too weak and didn't do very much damage to anything when she did battle - ha, who was she kidding? Not even herself. It wasn't like she was a Gardevoir or anything. She felt envious that other Psychic Pokémon were much stronger than herself, but she didn't let on to that at the moment, because she didn't feel like exposing herself as the jealous type, although she found that she couldn't kid herself, really, about the whole jealousy situation. Heck, she was nosy, and so she'd gone into thoughts of other Psychic Pokémon and their trainers just so she could find out what their strategies were and perhaps plagiarise them and take them for herself, because she was weak and perhaps these strategies would make her stronger. She wondered what strategies that this Leo was going to use, but she'd just have to find out the way most Rangers did, instead of her normal usage of her psychic powers to find out.

“You’re damn right I do!" Leo called to Cassidy. “Pointblank, want to take the lead in this? I know it isn’t incredibly strong like you, but I’m sure you can tone your power down and have some fun with this.”

Ooh! Leo was going to use his neat Cobalion. Chimey loved the way he had managed to capture a Legendary Pokémon - he must be a very good trainer, much better than her own. You see, her trainer hadn't caught any good Pokémon in a very long time, but this Leo seemed to have a battalion of strong Pokémon at his disposal, which made Chimey think of him even more greatly. Plus, his tactics were brilliant - if only her own trainer could come up with something as good as that! Oh, if only. Her trainer wasn't as good at strategy as Leo, as far as she could see, and it seemed that he'd have an easy fight against the Farfetch'd - what chance would a silly-looking Pokémon like that stand against one of the Legendary Musketeers of Unova - oh, of course, Chimey had heard all about the Musketeer Quartet Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion and Keldeo were the ones who made up this Quartet, although Chimey had only heard of them through stories. It was very strange indeed to finally meet one, although he wasn't as large as Regigigas - the only other Legendary Pokémon Chimey had had the fortune of meeting.

The Farfetch'd, still hitting itself on the head with its stick, looked straight into the smoldering, glowing red eyes of the Cobalion as it stepped forward, lowering the bird Pokémon's defence so as to hurt it more with its second move, Sacred Sword. Chimey had never seen such a wonderful move in her life before, and she was simply bedazzled by the beauty of it! Surely it was the best move she had ever seen in her life before, and she knew that the Cobalion would carry it out to the best of its ability. Its horns began to glow and sparkle brightly, and the Cobalion lowered its head, pawing at the ground as it prepared to charge. The Farfetch'd simply hits its head with its stick pointlessly, watching as the Cobalion charged unknowingly at it. It didn't seem to care whether or not it was hit, it just seemed to want to get this over and done with. The Cobalion's horns sliced across the Farfetch'd, and it was thrown backwards, squawking.

Once it had recovered, it had got up and glared towards the Cobalion - whatever sense it had left had came back to it, and it flung the stick it held at the Cobalion. It whirled towards his head, and bounced off of it pointlessly, seeming to have little to no effect on the Pokémon at all. The Farfetch'd flew to regain its stick, and landed opposite the Cobalion, rather heavily damaged by its Sacred Sword attack. However, it did not know what was left to come. The Cobalion began to charge up some attack that Chimey didn't recognise at first, but had managed to see quite well. It was a blue orb that began to swell in size, but as it did, it began to crackle with electricity. The Farfetch'd had gone back to hitting itself on the head with its stick, and the Cobalion took no note of this. It simply, with a flick of its head, fired off the blue orb right towards the Farfetch'd, and it arched quickly towards the bird Pokémon's chest. On collision, the Farfetch'd crackled with yellow spirals of electricity for a few moments, and seemed to move much slower when trying to hit its head with the stick, almost as if it had gotten suddenly stiff.

Good job, Leo! Chimey called out cheerfully, waving her arms wildly in happiness.

OOC: If I capture it, I'll go ahead and leave. Used Fragrance and threw Hyperball.

    @Buoysel.

“Oh, so he wants to play hardball.” I whispered. “Fine with me. Pointblank, come here.” The large legendary Pokémon moved walked over towards me. I could feel the platform shake as he did. “Obviously, he has some speed on him, with a little attack as well. Let’s see just how fast he is, because I’m sure as hell that you are faster.

I want you to play this fast. Okay Pointblank, we know he has Agility, I want you to use Quick Attack. With that you should be that much faster. Then, I want you to combine Quick Attack with Iron Head. It will be like one big blow. If that goes well, try Thunder Wave again. If it gets hit by your Quick Attack and Iron Head then it might not be able to get up immediately, so that may be my chance to capture it.“

“Sounds good.” He said, glaring at Farfetch’d. Like a bullet, he took off towards Farfetch’d. He was glowing both white and light grey from both Quick Attack and Iron Head. A silvery trail followed behind him. Once that was done, he would move back and let me throw my Hyperball. I reached into my bag and pulled out a Hyperball. I also pulled out a Soothing Fragrance Plus and released the scent to calm down the Wild Duck Pokemon. Then I was going to throw my Hyperball as soon as Pointblank finished attacking. If that was a sucess, I was going to leave.

Meh, it was captured. I can't be bothered with the whole role-playing aspect, as you said you were leaving once it was captured anyway, so I thought I'd spare both myself and you the effort. I don't really mind about the whole extra money thing that I'd get from the Battle Post, so mreh.

I ASSUME YOU WANTED MALE. Tell me over AIM/VM/PM and I'll change it. :>
