Individual Run: Gmandiddy.

NBP#1.
Ranger A. Silverswift.

The sounds of pens scratching furiously against papers, fingers clacking the keys on keyboards and clicks of the mouse were the only sounds that could be heard throughout the outpost where Argent was working for the moment. He thought that he was jumping about outposts a lot, but today he was working by the Great Lakes. The mixture of fresh air and sea air was actually quite pleasant in the cool office. The windows were open to let the breeze in, as inside these outposts the offices were rather stuffy and hot - apart from winter, when it was absolutely freezing and they had to attempt to heat up the offices somewhat. Argent thrust down his pen after finishing a certain report, as he yearned to be outside as the air was really refreshing. He stood up from his desk, walking out of the office to use the bathroom randomly because I wanted to write it into this post to make sure that he did something different from what he usually does. I will not, however, describe his toilet-y experience because that would be perverted.

After going to relieve himself of waste and whatnot, Argent walked out with clean hands because he was big on hygiene. He walked over to his desk and picked up a few things he might need, stuffed them into his satchel and then went on his way over to the main desk, swinging his satchel over his shoulder with such swag that nearby people almost fainted (not because of the swag, more because he had hit one or two on the head while swinging his satchel over his shoulder). On arrival at the desk where requests for entry into the Park came by mail, he politely inquired whether there were any runs up for taking for the Great Lakes. Apparently, a run request had just came in for the Great Lakes, and the attendant woman handed the files to him, assuming that he was going to take the run, which of course he was. He quickly read through the files, seeing that this time he was going to be taking someone through the Park called Alex, prompting him to ask himself what the deal was with all of the Alexes that were quickly infesting the Park.

Argent quickly walked from the outpost, waiting at the gate to the Great Lakes for a new hopeful frand called Alex.

OOC: Slowking talking out loud

The fresh air blew through the thin dark hair of Alex as he walked down a small grit trail, leading towards an outpost. He smiled and started to hum a tune, like a sea shanty. Alex was Pastoria's Gym leader and he had taken some time off to visit the well known Lakes of the National Park. He had a friend who work here, however he wasn't available, something about taking over a run in the sky. Weird.

"Master, why are we going to the Lakes today, you already have a brilliant team which almost never looses"

Alex turned to his side and looked down on the medium height Pokemon. His large shell like crown gleaming in the rich sunlight and his salmon skin almost matched the colour of Alex's Skin.

"I guess I want to catch as many new and exciting water Pokemon as I can, Slowking" Alex said to Slowking. Slowking was very unusual than an average Slowking. Alex had taught Slowking to speak like ordinary humans, so that it was much easier to talk to him and listen to his witty ideas.

Alex looked ahead and noticed a gate and a person slouching beside it. He walked up to the person and asked, "I am looking for a Ranger to take me through the Lakes, the name is Alex, Alex Thompson,"

 

NBP#2.
Ranger A. Silverswift.

"The market value of pot would go down-down-down if you legalised it... and supersized it: right now-now-now," Argent hummed to himself. He was waiting for his trainer to arrive, but he wasn't losing his patience - patience was one of the things which Ranger Silverswift never ran out of. He simply sat by the gate, humming that same song over and over to himself until he could practically sing it backwards. He was facing towards the Lakes and not towards the path on which the trainer would be walking to get to the gate, simply because he loved looking at the water, as he was entranced by it. Reminded of something by the water, he alerted Chimey to get Assan to the Lakes, but was gently rebuffed by Chimey with the fact that Assan was already at the Lakes, he just wasn't near the entrance. Argent found the thought that people might have tried to capture Assan at this stage slightly disconcerting and he hoped that both Assan and his trainer arrived pretty soon.

Assan came first, surprisingly. He swam up to the edge of the entrance and hopped from the freshwater lake, shaking out his fur patiently and then waddling over to Argent, standing by his side while waiting for the trainer to arrive. Argent smiled at him and greeted him, then turned around to await the arrival of his trainer still. After a few more minutes, however, two figures appeared before Argent's eyes, and he was glad to see that this was a trainer and his Slowking. This would probably be the trainer that he was charged with taking through the park. Argent smiled widely as the figures got closer to him, whilst Chimey was listening in for any kind of psychic conversation going on in between the two because she was quite a nosy Pokémon like that. Argent had tried to talk her out of eavesdropping, but she had never bothered listening to him about this habit. She did pick up traces of conversation between the two though. Focusing upon the words which were being exchanged, she found they could be heard with increased clarity.

However, this wasn't for the reasons she thought. It wasn't because the Slowking was actually talking psychically, but rather because he was talking out loud with its trainer.

"Master, why are we going to the Lakes today? You already have a brilliant team which almost never loses," it said. Chimey thought its accent was rather strange.

"I guess I want to catch as many new and exciting water Pokemon as I can, Slowking," its trainer replied with a negligent flip of his hand (I CAN BUNNY YOU IF YOU DO THE SAME TO ME ALL THE TIME. /Z-SNAP. ~Buoy).

The trainer stopped in front of Argent, who WAS NOT SLOUCHING, and Argent cracked a wider smile as the person spoke.

"I am looking for a Ranger to take me through the Lakes. The name is Alex: Alex Thompson."

"Hey, Alex. I'm Argent - Ranger Silverswift, if you want - and I am your Ranger. I'm well aware you requested one earlier, so here I am. I hope you brought some swimwear
