“You got another assignment, and this one might even interest you.”

Prose had just walked back in from his last assignment, but he was raring to go. He just popped his white collar and turned back around. It was a good thing that his last trainer didn’t use up any of Prose’ supplies, so he walked back out the door before getting the information. People knew to meet him outside the station anyways, so he waited for his mysterious trainer outside.

As he leaned against his tree, he watched the birds Pokemon fly around the coast. They seemed really peaceful in the Park, now that they weren’t confined to the Outer Heavens. Prose reminisced about how mad some of the rangers were when they were blown up, but then he was distracted when Quinn, the receptionist, ran out to see him.

“Prose. You need to be extra careful with this one. He’s not exactly what you might think.” She handed him a sheet of paper with some information on “Xon,” the trainer coming into the park.

Prose just pushed it away. “You know that I can be a little harsh; he’ll just have to deal.”

“Just be nice to him. He’s not... well... like you or me.” Quinn bowed and walked back into the Ranger Station.

Prose just fixed his white beret and watched towards the docks for his trainer to appear.

    @sorocoroto

I got up out of bed and went to my console. I was so happy to head to the National Park. I powered up my Pidgeotto Drone, which was already aboard a ship with my Bisharp. He was my closest friend, and hated to be inside his Pokeball, which worked for me, as I couldn't leave my house anyways. With him and my mechanical companion, I could have a half-decent resemblance of a normal journey outside my medical bubble.

I booted up the rest of my metal bird's devices, the video phone, the tracking system, the Pokeball throwing system, and so on. The "MechPidge" was a device that my father had made for me. I guess he saw my loneliness at home. But now I can go out and experience the world.

I flew my bird with my controller towards the ranger station. Bisharp, my starter Pokemon was right next to "me." We saw a guy in a white trenchcoat, aqua hair, and white beret. I guided the bird towards him and activated the video phone. My face projected onto a small screen that flipped out of the chest area.

::Hello. My name is Xon! You must be Prose. It is nice to meet you.::

Before I forgot, I activate the extending claws of the MechPidge and pulled out a spray can filled with a repellent for Flying-type Pokemon. It was kind of ironic: a Pidgeotto warding away Flying-types.

::I hope you don't mind, but I don't feel like finding any Flying times today.:: I said through the camera with a smile.

As Prose looked towards the docks, something shiny caught his eye. What looked like a large silver Pidgeotto came flying towards him. Another glimmer caught the ranger’s eyes. A humanoid creature was running towards him, and Prose immediately thought it was his trainer.

As it got closer, Prose saw that it was actually a Bisharp, the Sharp Sword Pokemon. It was a very interesting Pokemon, being a Dark- and Steel-type. This one was a shiny one, have a blue and black armor instead of the normal red and black. It was surrounded by many blades on its body, like a double-headed axe blade on his helmet, ribcage-like blades on his torso, and retractable blades on his arms.

Unlike many Dark-type Pokemon Prose encountered, this one didn’t have an aura of evil around it. In fact it seemed to be very noble creature. Prose just wondered what kind of trainer he’d be meeting.

The Bisharp stood in front of him and pointed up towards the Pidgeotto, which was metal, and a small panel appeared from its belly. Its “eyes” lit up like a camera lens, and an image of a small bald boy in what looked like a medical room appeared.

“Hello. My name is Xon! You must be Prose. It is nice to meet you.” The metal bird mouthed the words out of its beak.

Suddenly, its feet extended and reached into its back, which popped up to reveal a secret compartment. It pulled out a repellent and started spraying it on itself.

“I hope you don't mind, but I don't feel like finding any Flying types today.”

    “That’s fine,” Prose said.

The repellent was a one-time use item, but many trainers would try to look for a specific Pokemon, so a repellent would help their odds.

    “Alright, let’s go.”

Prose led Xon’s bladed Pokemon and mechanical conduit towards the Valley. Since the grass wasn’t wet, we walked... well Bisharp and Prose walked as Xon flew down one of the hills that surrounded the valley. As he walked down, Prose took in the sight of the Valley once again. To the left of them was the forest acting as a barrier between the Meteor Valley and the Power Plant, while to the right lay the outskirts of the Great Lakes. The Valley, in contrast to what most people might assume, was actually very bountiful in life. The Ghosts and Dark-types were usually found in the caves on the opposite side of where we were entering.

They reached the bottom of the hill, and before Prose could ask Xon where he’d want to go, there was the cry of a very familiar Pokemon to Prose.

Rolling down the hill was a cyan-colored creature with a big head that had black arrow-like marks and big green eyes. It was smiling all the way down before ending up at the two trainers’ feet. It stood up and started to smile.

“Well, Xon, would you like to battle an Elygem.” Prose couldn’t help but ponder on how all of his runs started with an Elygem appearing in some odd way.
