I was bored. Like, really bored. Leo had nicked off with my copy of the newest role-playing video game, so I had nothing to do. It was just Dee and myself here at the office, along with all the secretaries. Dee was doing the whole "proper Ranger" thing, filling out forms and requisitions and keeping an eye on the running of the Archives. I was considering doing my usual thing, but without Ivy around it just didn't seem as much fun.

I sighed and wandered over to the Expedition board. It was almost completely blank, only a few yellowing papers pinned around the edges. I stretched my arms and started loping away, when one of the secretaries bustled out and pinned up a fresh white piece of paper. I looked at it speculatively.

"Hey Dee, feel like going on a run?" I called out across the room.

Dee simply shook his head, absorbed in his paperwork. I shrugged and took the piece of paper, leaving the pin stuck in the board. It was a Power Plant run - they were usually fun. At least, you usually didn't get wet or sticky unlike in the Lakes or the Gardens.

The teleporters were in a building separate to the main office. I strolled languidly outside, shading my eyes from the sun, across to the building. The Power Plant teleporter was up the back, opposite the door. The attendant looked up and waved me through upon seeing me; I didn't need any help because I'd used these things many time before, even though I usually just had Dual teleport us there. I stepped into the machine, and a couple of seconds later I was whizzing on my way to the Power Plant.

It seemed like the blink of an eye later that I found myself at the Plant Outpost. I yawned and walked over to the gate, which detected my presence and opened automatically. Hopefully the Trainer wouldn't take too long to get here - if I got this run over and done with quickly, I could go back and take a nap without being told off by every woman in Headquarters.

NINJAS! The elite fighting force of ancient Japan. This was Kiryu Kaiser. He swore by his clan that he would embrace the ninja lifestyle with gusto and pride. It was all he would know aside from being a Pokemon trainer. After many months of training on Mt Silver, he came back stronger and smarter than ever. The outpost for the Abandoned Power Plant was just up ahead. Kiryu sported an odd choice of clothing: Blue ninja fatigues. Nothing spandex but light fitting cotton, woven from real Cottonees. His under armor was chain mail harvested from the scaled of an Aggron and his sandals were carved from the bone of Marowak's skull. Light but comfortable. The sword on his back was forged by a three clipped Skarmory wings so it was extremely sharp. He kept it in a sheath and tied it down with a rope to prevent it from falling out. Carrying a ruck sack filled with various items, he only had two Pokeballs on his belt. He decided to take only two Pokemon into the park this time, his Snorlax and Swampert. These two shrugged off most attack due to their bulk and both knew Earthquake. Despite many of the electric Pokemon knowing Magnet Rise, a move that helps them avoid ground type moves, these two still would be of help.

Approaching the gate, he walked up to the Ranger who seemed to waiting on him. He had signed up via the internet so the appointment was somewhat sketchy due to time but he had arrived at a good moment.

"Good afternoon good sir, I am Kiryu Kaiser and I'm here for the adventure through out the Abandoned Power Plant.

It wasn't long before my Trainer showed up. He was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. He wore strange blue clothes that looked like they were made specifically for his use. His sandals made strange clacking sounds on the concrete path, and I could see the hilt of a sword poking over his shoulder. Normally we didn't allow weapons into the Park, but I knew why that one hadn't been confiscated - I wouldn't have dared try to take it off of him.

The man walked up to me with a gait I would describe as "confident" and introduced himself. "Good afternoon good sir, I am Kiryu Kaiser and I'm here for the adventure through out the Abandoned Power Plant," he said. Something about the way he said it made me want to bow. It was surprising - despite the aura of power he wore, he was still friendly and didn't seem like a douchebag. That was refreshing, and a pleasant surprise.

"Hey, my name is James Carter and I'll be your Ranger today," I replied. I pressed a button on the wall and the gate swung shut. I beckoned for Kiryu to follow and led him towards the ugly squat structure that was the Power Plant. The woods had started to reclaim it - the trees and grass grew close to the building and in some cases, had even started growing into the building.

The two of us approached the large double-doors that were the main entrance to the plant. I pushed one of the metal doors open, revealing the huge main corridor of the Plant. It led deep into the building, but for some reason Trainers usually preferred to explore the side-passages. This main corridor had piles of junk and old broken-down machinery laying in piles all over the place. The ceiling supports were covered in wires and cords, a quarter of which were still active and causing sparks to fall down onto the ground.

I was just about to lead Kiryu inside when I heard a soft bleating sound. I turned around to see a small Mareep looking curiously at us. It wasn't uncommon for some of the weaker Electric-types to live outside the Plant itself, especially the plant-eaters like Mareep.

"Feel like battling a Mareep?" I asked Kiryu.

The awkwardness of the walk was..most unpleasant. Although he had normally been one for a conversation, he felt it would be best to keep his mouth shut for the time being. Just before he had opened his mouth to say something, the soft bleating of a Pokemon was heard. He turned around as did the ranger and before them was a curious looking Mareep. It was a fluffy sheep Pokemon that was very cute in appearance. It bleated some more, sparking up a little bit as the static electricity was stored in its fur.

"Feel like battling a Mareep?"

"No thank you. I'll have to pass." he said as he smiled. "I could use a Pokedoll if it is easier?"

"No thank you, I'll have to pass." the man smiled gently at the Mareep, which made a curious bleating sound. "I could use a PokeDoll if it's easier."

"I don't think that will be necessary," I said, gesturing towards the Wool Pokemon. It had turned away from us and was beginning to nibble at a tuft of grass that had managed to worm its way up out of the concrete. "He doesn't look like he's particularly interested in battling."

The Mareep gave a disinterested flick of its tail, and I took that as a sign that we could move on. I led Kiryu through the doors and then closed them shut - we didn't leave them open because we didn't want the stronger Electric-types roaming the outsides, or even worse, the island at large. It was bad enough that the Raikou and the Zapdos could go wherever they wanted, but if the Electivire and Magnezone had free reign, things could get dangerous quickly. Thankfully, all the Pokemon were happy in their natural habitats - it was mostly just a safety precaution.

My shoes made muffled thud sounds on the concrete floor where Kiryu's sandals made clop ones. The distracting noises kept drawing my vision downwards, and it was because of this that I saw a small Pokemon watching us carefully from under a pile of junk. It was purple, had a mostly indeterminate form, and smelled kinda bad. In fact, it was the smell that helped me realise what it was.

"What about a Grimer? Feel like battling one of those?" I asked my Trainer.

The Mareep seemed to be not so interested in us but more so in the grass that was growing through the cement. The place seemed to have a small abundance of grass to go about for the other herbivore Pokemon. It was pretty nice to see that the area met the needs of the various Pokemon types. Just then Kiryu had a strange look on his face. Something reached into his nostrils and triggered his gag reflex. It was one of the most disgusting things he had ever smelled. The chemicals rubbing off would make an amazing bomb though. Before the ranger could answer if he wanted to battle it, he shook his head quickly to say no and pulled out some money for a Pokedoll. "I don't think I'd like this one."

"I don't think I'd like this one," he replied quickly. I wrinkled my nose and stepped backwards quickly. The smells it were giving off initially didn't seem that bad, but apparently they got worse over time.

"I can't say I blame you, it is just a bit ripe," I agreed. "Let's just move on then."

I saw that Kiryu had his hands in his pockets, searching for something, but I didn't know what it was. He was probably preparing to pay for a PokeDoll, but it didn't seem necessary. The Grimer seemed quite happy to lurk under the broken computer screen. I shrugged and lead Kiryu onwards, deeper into the plant. The Trainer was quite silent, and he seemed content to move down the main corridor. I decided not to bother him with possible alternate routes unless we had to.

About half a minute later, I heard a growling up ahead, and I motioned for Kiryu to keep low. I peered around a pile of junk and saw a group of three Luxio digging interestedly into a heap of broken printers. There was probably some food or something in there. Regardless, they hadn't seen us yet, but no doubt if they did we'd have to battle them.

I turned back to my Trainer to explain the situation. "There's a pack of Luxio out there blocking our way through the main corridor. If you want to battle one then that's fantastic, but if not I advise we dart down one of these side passages. That's unless you'd rather buy a PokeDoll and we continue on the straight and narrow."

The Grimer seemed to go on its merry way, lurking behind some of the old computer screens in here. It made Kiryu wonder how big this place really was. He wondered if scavengers actually came here to steal some technology. Some of the hardware seemed outdated but could fetch a fairly decent price on the markets. Shaking his head, he continued on down with the Ranger until they had come across a band of Luxio, three to be accurate. Chainy had given him two options: Use a Pokedoll and go straight down the hallway or we could go into one of the side passages.

“Let's try the side passages. No point on going on a adventure without some detour." he said as he fixed his strap and go ready.

“Let's try the side passages. No point on going on a adventure without some detour," Kiryu replied.

I nodded. I didn't particularly agree, but this was the young man's Expedition, not mine, and it didn't particularly matter to me where we went. We looked at each other and then burst out of cover in sync, running for the side passage. Unfortunately, the Luxio saw us, and they growled at us and gave chase. I was used to being chased by Wild Pokemon, and this was nowhere near the worst time.

It was only a couple minutes before the Electric-types got bored and fell back. I decided to take a break and sunk down onto a piece of machinery, panting heavily. I didn't like running at the best of times, and it rubbed against the bit that I was being chased by a group of Pokemon that could probably be dispatched by a single Earthquake.

I was about to suggest that we move on when I heard a high-pitched squeak-like growl. I turned to see a baby Shinx staring at us intensely, its tail waving from side to side.

"Looks like this little hunter didn't give up as easily as the others," I said with a smile on my face. "Want to battle it?"

They began to sprint, this was fairly easy to Kiryu as he was trained to do. The ranger was also in top physical condition so it was easy for him as well. The Luxio turned their head and began to chase them as well. It was only a few minutes before they became bored of chasing their prey and went back to chew on the cords of the computer screens.

"That was pretty fun." Kiryu said as he stretched a bit and smiled, visible beneath his mask.

Coming up towards them, he saw some more sparking coming up from the hallway. It was a tiny Shinx that had managed to separate from its pack and continue to hunt them. He smiled and approached the little thing and bent down to pet it.

"I don't want to capture it but maybe we can take it along?

Kiryu approached the Shinx slowly and carefully. I could just make out a smile behind his mask. The small Electric-type growled uncertainly at him, but the young man simply bent down to pet it. The cat stopped growling and started purring. Despite the creature's size, approaching it was a potentially dangerous thing to do - size was no indication of a Pokemon's power.

"I don't want to capture it but maybe we can take it along?" Kiryu asked.

"Well, it doesn't pose a threat to us, so if it wants to tag a long then sure," I replied.

Kiryu patted the Shinx one last time before straightening up and dusting his hands off. He nodded to me, signifying that he was ready to go. We turned and continued down the side corridor. I heard nothing but the soft steps of my shoes, the muted clacks of Kiryu's sandals, and the slight purring of the Shinx as it followed on its padded feet. A new sound slowly worked its way into our midst, a slight whirr that I recognised as a powered-on computer. All the machinery here was supposed to be powered down, although the plant itself still generated small amounts of electricity for the local Pokemon to feed on. It wasn't uncommon for Pokemon to amuse themselves by powering lights or fans, but computers required a delicate touch, and most Pokemon wouldn't enjoy seeing them on anyway. I'd have to check this out in case it was poachers trying to access a database or something.

Just up ahead was a door with some lights shining out of it, and I was pretty sure that the whirring was getting louder. I motioned with my finger for the two following me to be quiet, and I slowly opened the door and peered inside. The room was one of the many computer labs in the Plant - they had been used for all kinds of important tasks like monitoring the cores or plant security. In this particular room about 80% of the computers were destroyed, but a few relatively intact stations remained. In the centre of the room was a large plasma screen, surprisingly still in one piece, and words were flashing across it faster than I could read.

Still, the most interesting thing about this room was what was inhabiting it. A bird-like Pokemon was hovering in front of a computer below the screen, firing electric darts at the keyboard at random intervals. It had a red body and a blue tail, and large bulbous feet. Strangely, the bird was mostly inanimate - it was like there were no moving parts or joints at all. This would have freaked me out except I knew what this Pokemon was - the virtual data Pokemon, Porygon2. It was easily confused with its previous evolution stage, Porygon, except this one had smoother edges and curves as opposed to Porygon's blockiness.

"There's a Porygon2 in there doing something funny with a computer," I said to Kiryu. "If you don't want to battle it, we should be able to sneak past it."

They began walking down the hallway, the Shinx walking around them happily albeit still on its guard. There was a small strange whirring that was coming going down the hallway, slightly towards the left. He squinted his eyes and read one of the black indicators that was placed on the wall and framed in a silver border. It read '"Research & Development" in bold, white letters. He turned to the ranger and Chainy nodded. They proceeded down the hall and Shinx sparked a little bit just in case something was to pop out unexpectedly. Looking around the corner, Chainy motioned them closer and they went around and into the room. The room was circular in appearance and there was one main computer in the middle. Many of the computers were destroyed, either having a blue screen on them or a massive hole. The lights towards the south west were flickering on and off but the majority of the room was lit. In the middle of the room was something floating around the bigger screen and firing electrical darts at a keyboard on the bottom of them. The Pokemon was a bit curvy in nature but retained the same color scheme as the Virtual Pokemon, Porygon. This had to be its evolution, Porygon2. Kiryu pulled out his PokeDex and aimed it at the back of the Porygon2, whom was too busy with the screen to notice them. The bad news? Kiryu didn't have his ear buds plugged in so it happened to play it out loud. Loud enough for the Porygon to hear.


Porygon2-The virtual Pokemon and the evolved form of Porygon. It was created by humans using the power of science. It has been given artificial intelligence that enables it to learn new gestures and emotions on its own. Representing the next step in technological progress, this Virtual Pokémon is a higher-powered version of the man-made Pokémon, Porygon. Compared to the sharp edges of its relative, Porygon2's body is extremely smooth and rounded. .This upgraded version of Porygon is designed for space exploration. However, it can't even fly. It is a genderless Pokemon weighing in around seventy-one lbs and at a height of two inches. It is a Normal Type Pokemon capable of learning Nasty Plot and in battle, it utilizes a special move called Conversion 2 to alter its type. It can learn a myriad of moves ranging from Ice Beam, Solarbeam and Thunderbolt.

Wincing as he heard the full description played out loud, Kiryu shook his head in shame and groaned. He could see the joking Smirk on Chainy's face and could hear the snickering of the Shinx behind him. Kiryu groaned sighed.

"There's a Porygon2 in there doing something funny with a computer," he said to Kiryu. "If you don't want to battle it, we should be able to sneak past it."

"No use in that now is there?" he said groaning but had a slight smile on his face.

Reaching to his back pocket, he pulled out a Pokeball and pressed the little silver circle in the middle. The sphere expanded into a full sized Pokeball and dropped it. He urged Chainy and the Shinx to back up. A flash of bright light filled the room and when it faded, a massive green bear-like Pokemon. It was his Snorlax. He had a dark green fur and a massive cream colored stomach. The gigantic Pokemon scratched his stomach and let loose a yawn that was more like his battle cry. Growling a bit, the Snorlax beat his stomach, not to be confused with Belly Drum, and got ready to battle.

"Alright then. This will be a battle of Normal types! Truck, use Chip at the Porygon2 and if possible, follow up with Lick!"

The bear growled and held up his paw, making it into a fist and it began glowing a bright orange color. He began taking a few lax steps towards the Porygon2, not to cause any more destruction to the room. Chip Away was move that bypasses any targets defenses or evasion boosts. No matter how defensive or fast it got, this would always go in for a hit. He also stuck out his tongue with a grin and made the ground shake each step he took. Lick was normally a ghost type move but Kiryu figured since Snorlax was the Gluttony Pokemon, Lick would be in his move pool.

Kiryu decided to battle the Porygon2, like I thought he would. They were powerful Pokemon, and arguably better in battle than their evolved form, Porygon-Z. There was no doubt that Porygon-Z was faster and more powerful than Porygon2, but this power gain was at the cost of its stability. Porygon2 had much better defenses, and so was often employed as a wall in competitive battle teams.

The young man reached into his back pocket and pulled out a PokeBall, which he promptly dropped onto the ground, making sure to do so on the inside of the computer room. The sphere burst open to reveal a Snorlax, which yawned and beat on its belly, alerting the Porygon2 to its presence. I was surprised by this choice of Pokemon - seeing as the young man was dressed up like a ninja, I expected him to have a Ninjask or a Gengar or a Ditto or something, not a large and unwieldy Pokemon like Snorlax.

A red laser light extended from both of the Porygon2's eyes. They both landed on the Snorlax and ran over the Normal-type's entire body. When the Sleeping Pokemon had been scanned, the red laser lights winked out, but the virtual Pokemon didn't move. It was content to hover in place, waiting for Kiryu to make the first move. The ninja didn't disappoint it.

"Alright then, this will be a battle of Normal types. Truck, use Chip at the Porygon2 and if possible, follow up with Lick!" he ordered.

The Snorlax growled its assent and began walking very deliberately towards the Porygon2. He held his right fist up towards the ceiling, and orange energy gathered around his knuckles. The Porygon2's eyes flashed red, and then green. It began flexing, stretching from side to side and all around as the Snorlax thudded closer. Finally, it bent its nose down under its body, curling up into a ball as much as possible. Snorlax swung its arm down, smashing his fist into the Porygon2. The Virtual Pokemon was knocked into the ground, and it made a whirring sound as it unfolded painfully on the floor.

Suddenly, white lights strobed across its entire body, making it hard to look at. When the lights ended, the Porygon2 had changed slightly. Its red and blue colours had been dulled, becoming more like pink and gray, and its tail had a spiky point. Snorlax didn't seem to worry about this transformation, though- he just bent down and licked the Wild Pokemon from bottom to top. The Porygon2 seemed to shudder and backed up, away from the Snorlax.

"Damn," Kiryu muttered as Truck finished licking the Porygon2 all over but Truck was slow. That gave the Porygon2 a chance to use Conversion2, a move it learned upon its evolution. This turned Porygon2 into a type that would resist the Normal type attack like Chip Away. That would have to be Steel judging from the silver coloring taking over the blue/red part of his coloring. This was going to be fun. Each time it used Conversion2, it gain an immunity but also opened up some weaknesses as well, and for Porygon2 being a Steel type, that would give it weaknesses to Fire, Fighting and Ground. Perfect. Truck has Fire Punch, Earthquake, and counter but that was only good for Physical moves while Porygon2 was a strictly Special Attacker. This made planning things a bit more interesting. Earthquake might cause the place to collapse onto itself so that only left Brick Break and Fire Punch. Kiryu had went ahead to prefer Brick Break to deal some damage but he needed to start laying out some stat ups.

At this moment, Snorlax was flexing his muscles and waiting. Watching the battle expectantly, Kiryu reached for his backpack that contained all of his items. He unzipped a compartment as he watched Truck step to the side and glare down the floating Pokemon whose was glaring right back. Smiling, he decided to let them dance as he grabbed his flask and pulled it out. He wasn't sure what the National Parks policy on the whole drinking issue but he decided that if he went to far that the ranger would go ahead and stop him. He unscrewed the cap and smiled as the silver flask had a dragon engraved on it with some calligraphy on it. Usually he would shake the flask to see if there was anything in it but this time he forgot to. After a few seconds of twirling, he put the stainless steel bottle to his lips and tiled his head back to taste the sweet nectar of life...but there was nothing. His eyes went wide and his eye twitched. Shinx looked up at him with worry as he pulled the bottle back and stared back at it with a mixture of rage and sadness. That was his last mix of Sake and Rum..that was illegal in 13 countries...and it was his last bottle.

He looked at the bottle, to Shinx, to Chainy, then back to the bottle. Truck was looking at his trainer to figure out what was wrong and so did the Porygon2. He gripped the flask, causing some dents in it. He was raging on the inside. You couldn't tell it by his calm and smooth demeanor but he was exploding on the inside like Mt Vesuvius. He threw the flash to the side and put a hand to the wall, gripping it tightly as drywall chipped off underneath his gloves. Taking a deep breath, he shook his head and looked back up at Truck, listening to the flask hit a computer screen down the hallway. How dare the flask run out of alcohol on him when he needed it most. Truck was thinking about alcohol as well as Kiryu let him have some when ever it was cold, even though he had Thick Fat the majority of the time. It kept him limber. Smiling, this refueled him to catch this Porygon2 because once he evolves it to PorygonZ he'll win more battles. More battles equals more money and more money equals more illegal alcohol.

Then it hit him. Truck had a myriad of level up moves he could use. Kiryu had been so focused on the extra moves and the ones that cause the most damage instead of the moves that would give him some type of advantage. He opened up his PokeDex and listened to the ping aAs it came on. It was a special made PokeDex as it had a blue frame instead of a standard orange or red. He raised it at Truck and immediately it went to the species, Snorlax.

"Metronome, Odor Sleuth, Tackle, Defense Curl, Headbutt, Amnesia, Lick, Recycle, Belly Drum, Screech, Yawn, Chip Away, Stockpile, Swallow, Rest, Snore, Sleep Talk, Body Slam, Fling, Harden, Double-Edge, Block, Covet, Rollout, Natural Gift, Crunch, Snatch, Heavy Slam, Last Resort, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam"

"Not bad, not bad at all. These should do quite nicely in some event."

Smiling, he figured the use of Amnesia, Harden and Brick Break should be enough. Thinking this over, he was going over some variables and gave his commands to the pudgy bear. Truck was finally happy to get a command after trying to psych out the Porygon2 to try and phase it out.

"Truck! I need you to use Amnesia and Harden. You know the whole block like thing? Look like the Porygon I showed you in the picture." he said as when a Snorlax hardens, its curves become more sharper and becomes able to take way more attacks then it use to. With a sharp Special Attack boost and a defensive boost along with Trucks normal defenses, he should be right like mike. He wasn't going to use Belly Drum as it would drastically reduce his HP but raise his attack crazy heights. He didn't want to accidentally knock the Pokemon out so he would stick towards defenses.

"Also, if he's in range and you aren't weighed down, use Brick Break!"

He was hoping the Porgygon2 wouldn't use Conversion2 again but then again it couldn't as Truck was slower so his attack wouldn't hit until after.

Kiryu swore under his breath and dropped his backpack onto the ground. He pulled out what looked like a wooden flask with an intricately-wrought silver dragon on it. It didn't really matter to me what was inside - there were no hard and fast rules on alcohol in the Park, because if a Trainer started getting disorderly their Ranger would simply kick them out of the Park.

The young man went to take a swig from the flask, but something was wrong. He peered into the flask, and for the first time his kind countenance slipped. He started to crush the container between his hands before throwing it powerfully down the hallway. It made a clattering sound as it hit something metal. Kiryu braced himself against the wall, and his grip was so strong that flecks of it fell down onto the ground. I decided to ignore this, for now - hopefully the ninja didn't have a substance abuse problem. I had a feeling that evicting him from that Park by force would be a bit harder than I was used to.

Suddenly, something seemed to switch on inside Kiryu. He pulled out his PokeDex and consulted it once more. Thankfully, whatever he was looking up didn't get read out loud.

"Not bad, not bad at all. These should do quite nicely in some event," the young man muttered under his breath. The smile returned to his face, and he looked up at Truck, who had been engaging in a stare-off with the Porygon2.

"Truck! I need you to use Amnesia and Harden. You know the whole block like thing? Look like the Porygon I showed you in the picture," Kiryu called out. "Also, if he's in range and you aren't weighed down, use Brick Break!"

Snorlax sat down on his rear end and started scratching his head with one of his paws. He was temporarily forgetting important information so that any telepathic attacks would be weakened. It was a good move, because I knew that Porygon2 had access to some Psychic-type techniques. The thought reminded me of the Porygon2 itself, and when I looked over at it I saw small threads of electricity playing around it. A thin beam began emitting from the Porygon2's nose, and it struck Truck right in the middle of his belly. The Normal-type didn't really seem to notice, though - he was too busy using his Amnesia technique. The Porygon cut off its attack, and it looked a bit miffed. The Snorlax stuck his tongue out at the Virtual Pokemon before pounding his hands together. I watched, amazed, as the fat Pokemon hardened its body using nothing but the power of its will. It wasn't too dissimilar from how my Gallade did it, but I didn't expect this Normal-type to have the same Ability.

I could tell that the Porygon wasn't happy about being ignored. Electrical power began oozing out of it. Long streams of electricity danced and wove around the hovering Pokemon. Still, that wasn't going to stop Truck from following his orders. He stood up and moved quickly towards the Porygon2. The Snorlax's Brick Break took the form of a karate chop, which knocked the Porygon2 backwards. However, that was also when the Virtual Pokemon unleashed its Thunder attack, and Truck was blasted backwards as well. The Snorlax went flying through some computers and landed on his back in a pile of technological garbage. The Porygon2 wasn't as unlucky - the remainder of the electrical sparks gathered underneath it and lifted it higher up into the air. The Wild Pokemon was now flying, which could mean no end of trouble for Kiryu.

"Flying now? Hrm Flying and Steel. Reminds me of a Skarmory. Thank god you don't have that ability friend!" he chuckled as he was analyzing the floating Pokemon even more. How could it be hit by ground moves even while its levitating then Magnet Rise, still levitate and not be hit. These were the things that kept him up at night. The Porygon2 managed to Magnet Rise in case Truck decided to use an Earthquake attack. Truck was more so Focusing on his Amnesia attack. While doing that, he quickly switched into a Harden as his body would completely get pointy. Defense was boosted as well so that was a awesome come back. Porygon2 released out a Charge Beam that released around the Snorlax's body as he rushed the Porygon2 with a glowing fist, striking it with a powerful Brick Break. Watching, Kiryu shielded his eyes from the massive Thunder attack released by the virtual Pokemon. He watched as the Snorlax recoiled and shook himself off. The Amnesia was doing fairly well at boosting his Special Defensive qualities. The Thunder wasn't as bad as it normally would have.

Kiryu went through his PokeDex and looked up all of the Special Attacks that Porygon2 knew. It was quite a lot although his Physical wasn't anything to frown upon. Smiling, Kiryu retracted the top screen of his PokeDex and sighed. This was a difficult choice to make next. Then Kiryu had an amazing idea. Is he had Truck charge up and concentrate his Yawn attack and make it slightly more solid, he could spit it out faster and possibly get the Sleep status to have a greater chance to occur. Smiling, Kiryu gave the command to Truck but it would take some time for it to fully occur so that would require some time. Truck was concentrating but also aware as well. Knowing he could be attacked at any moment, Kiryu was prepared to give him some type of protection again it. "Truck, focus on that concentrated Yawn but then use Stockpile twice then nail it right between the eyes with a Fire Punch!. Once done, let him have the Yawn!" Truck began to gulp and work on his Stockpile while the Yawn was concentrating in his stomach.

"Flying now? Hmm, Flying and Steel. Reminds me of a Skarmory. Thank God you don't have that ability, friend!" Kiryu muttered under his voice. I wasn't entirely sure what he meant, but maybe the muttering helped him concentrate. It usually helped me to concentrate, anyway.

Kiryu pulled his Pokedex out again and scrolled through a list of the Porygon2's moves. He must have been looking for something, although I certainly didn't know what it was. The list must have given him an idea though, because the gentle smile that he usually wore returned.

"Truck, focus on that concentrated Yawn but then use Stockpile twice then nail it right between the eyes with a Fire Punch. Once done, let him have the Yawn," Kiryu called out.

I was slightly confused and worried by this order, but Kiryu seemed to know what he was doing. It was an awfully long list of commands, and I'd never heard of this "concentrated Yawn" before. Still, Truck didn't seem phased by the long list of orders, so he might have been trained to obey commands in this manner.

Truck inhaled deeply, and pink bubbles gathered around his mouth, turning into one large bubble. Instead of launching the Yawn, however, Truck began focusing on Stockpiling his energy. His large stomach rumbled as it filled up, and the Yawn bubble continued to grow. The Porygon2 decided that it was time to act - a red laser light was emitted from its left eye, and the laser settled square in the middle of the Snorlax's belly.

The Snorlax rushed forwards, and as he did so some flames surrounded his fist, and they flared up from around his wrist. As the Fire Punch approached, however, something strange happened. A cream-coloured shield extended from the Porygon2's body, and as Truck's fist passed through the shield half of the flames were extinguished. Still, the punch had enough force to knock the cybernetic Pokemon backwards.

It turned out, however, that misfortune ordained the knock-back. Truck launched the super-powerful Yawn towards the Porygon2, but because of Yawn's slow movement speed and the Porygon2's earlier Agility, the cyber Pokemon was able to respond. It quickly created five copies and all of them blurred away from the bubble. When it popped, none of Porygon2 were within the blast zone. Furthermore, all the Porygon2 launched a retaliatory blast of electricity. It was huge - what looked like a waterfall of electricity crashed down on Truck from all directions. When the attack finished, the Porygon2 started zipping around crazily, all following different paths, and I saw that Truck's arms and legs were spasming a little bit. It looked like he had been paralyzed by the Porygon2's vicious attack.

"Damn paralyzing." he said frowning as he watched the big mound of fat spasming as he backed away and hoped that he could get some type of move out. He went to go ahead and looked up Snorlax so he could get a better advantage on it.

Snorlax is the heaviest species of all known Pokémon, with some weighing more than 1,000 pounds. It's hunger isn't satisfied until it consumes 900 pounds of food. Then it goes back to sleep. Snorlax's typical day consists of nothing more than eating and sleeping. It is such a docile Pokémon that there are children who use its big belly as a place to play. When its belly is full, it becomes too lethargic to even lift a finger, so it is safe to bounce on its belly.

"Hrm, how can I counter that..." he said as he said as he scrolled through it some more and came up to his list of moves. Then he came up with a better idea. "Heheh I didn't think of this before. It may be slow but I think I can swap this out. GET ON OUT HYDROTERRA!" he said, recalling the Snorlax, who seemed relieved to be called back. His sent out his other Pokemon, Hydroterra, who was an invaluable asset on his team. The Pokedex scanned him unwillingly and called out via headphone.

Swampert, the Mud Fish Pokémon. Swampert is the evolved form of Marshtomp. It is able to easily drag large stone weighing over 1 ton. It is also able to see through cloudy waters and detect approaching storms with its fin.t can swim while towing a large ship. It bashes down foes with a swing of its thick arms.Its arms are rock-hard. With one swing, they can batter down its foe. It makes its nests at beautiful beaches.

"Must be referring to Hammer Arm and Rock Smash," he muttered and smiled. This should work just nicely. The Swampert was very wateresque. He colors were primarily blue, black and orange. He has a huge cobalt blue-colored body and massive, three-fingered open palms that seemed to be able to grab things. Being physically strong, it can take on most foes and not have to worry about weakening in battle. Being able to tow a ship is just ungodly. He was ready as the Swampert let out a mighty roar and stood on it's hind legs.

"Ok Hydro, Ice Beam then Hammer Arm it into the wall." he yelled as a bright blue orb of energy formed in his mouth and compressed.

"Damn paralysis," Kiryu swore. He continued to mutter under his breath for a few seconds but I couldn't pick up any of it. He started fiddling around with his PokeDex so I figured that he was trying to decide what to do next. After consulting with the small red machine for a couple minutes, the ninja came to a decision.

"I didn't think of this before," he laughed. "It may be slow but I think I can swap this out. GET ON OUT HYDROTERRA!"

Kiryu held out his Snorlax's PokeBall and returned it. Before it turned all red I could swear that the Snorlax had a look of relief on his face. I think that both Snorlax and Kiryu had underestimated just how much of a fight this Porygon2 would put up.

Once Truck was returned to his ball, Kiryu threw out a different one. The usual white light revealed a Swampert, one of my favourites. My Starter Pokemon was a Mudkip, and he too had since evolved into a powerful Swampert. Hopefully this second Pokemon would have better luck against the Porygon2 than Truck had.

The Wild Pokemon eyed over its new opponent and began jinking from side to side quickly. I didn't quite realise what it was doing until I noticed that it was moving faster than normal. It was stretching out its muscles or calibrating its antrigravity fields or doing whatever it did that made itself faster. Unfortunately for Kiryu, both of his chosen Pokemon were very slow, so if he didn't get on top of the Porygon2 it'd fly circles around him.

Kiryu finished consulting his PokeDex and he looked up at HydroTerra. "Okay Hydro, Ice Beam then Hammer Arm it into the wall," he commanded.

HydroTerra opened his mouth and a light blue energy beam blasted quickly out of his mouth. It whipped towards and struck the duck-like Pokemon's side. A growth of ice crystals erupted on the cyber Pokemon, ruining its balance and causing it to crash to the ground. HydroTerra didn't miss a beat - he ran forwards and picked up the Porygon2 before slamming it into the wall. I winced, knowing exactly how much physical might Swampert had. That would have hurt a lot, especially considering Porygon2's typing.

Nothing happened for a few seconds. Then, I noticed a bright white light starting to emanate from behind HydroTerra's large fists, and suddenly the Water-type was sent flying into the air by a massive white blast of energy. The Swampert sailed through the air and landed with a crash amongst a group of computers. I looked over at the Porygon2 in awe, astonished that it could summon such pure might. However, it looked to me like it was getting tired. It was hovering low over the ground, and its beak seemed to be drooping a little bit. This might be the perfect chance for Kiryu to counter-attack.
