"Man, I have to work around Christmas, and I probably won't even get a Christmas bonus from this. If it wasn't for the free donuts I would so be out of here," I said to myself, as I grabbed my backpack, and put a box of donuts in it for the upcoming run I was doing. It was going to be to Mount Deckbi, but I hated the heat, even when it was cold out I'd be outside in shorts, because, well frankly I'm nuts.

"Hmm, lets see, who should go with me this time? Ah I've got it. I'll take Gardevoir," I said, as it appeared from its Pokeball.

"Well you ready to accompany me?" I asked

Of course I am, just make sure I get one of those donuts.

"Ha, the last thing you need is junk food. All right, let's see the info on this person. Name's Kiryu Kaiser. Well, that's different. Bringing along some pretty random items, and four Pokemon. Well then, lets hope this interesting," I said to Gardevoir, as I waited outside the ranger station.

Like the swiftness of the cool air, he moved. He was in the near by brush, hiding, waiting. Dressing in all black, sandals and a katana strapped to his back. His eyes was focused on his current objective: the ranger and his Gardevoir. His Gallade appeared next to him, Exia. The two shared a bond like no other, aside from his stater, Lucario. The two were brothers in arms, trained in combat and the art of war. This area was just another test of their skills. Deckbi had some of the harshest condition known to man. The heat alone would send weak people running back to their mother but only those with true will would stay. He smiled underneath his mast as he turned to his Gallade, the psychic link activating between them. No words needed to be spoken. It was perfect for communicating on the fly or keeping conversations between them.

"Master, the target is only 20 meters ahead of us. We should move now and begin our expedition."

"Yes we should move now. Keep the link open and communicate when ever needed. Also reinforce them. That Gardevoir seems like a crafty one so I don't want her reading our thoughts."

"Yes my liege."

The two were shifted away from the trees due to Exia's teleport. The two would appear in from of the Ranger and his Pokemon in an instant. He would keep his head bowed but kept a eye on them both. "Are you my ranger for the expedition into Mt Deckbi? I am Kiryu Kaiser and this is my squire, Exia the Gallade."

"A pleasure." he said as he bowed along with him.

 

From the distance a person was coming. I couldn't exactly tell who, but common sense would tell me it was the trainer I was to be taking. How did I know someone was coming? Simple, I didn't, but Gardevoir did. You can't be sneaky when there is a Psychic-type around who can sense things. Before I knew it though he, and his Gallade appeared before me.

"Are you my ranger for the expedition into Mt Deckbi? I am Kiryu Kaiser and this is my squire, Exia the Gallade," he said.

Hey, I don't like the looks of this clown, Gardevoir said to me, telepathically.

You're right, I don't trust this guy around my donuts, I replied. Let's just play things cool here. "Hello, I'm Gary, and I'll be your ranger through Mount Deckbi. I won't bore you with the stuff you've probably heard before, so let's just get going. I'll have Gardevoir teleport us."

Gardevoir did teleport us to the front gate of Mount Deckbi, where I was to lead Kiryu through. Mount Deckbi was certainly an interesting place to say the least, it was the home of mainly Fire-types, Rock-types, and Ground-types. Many different Pokemon lived here, and as such it was pretty rare to not see something that you wanted. Certainly not like the Great Lakes were you can run into a Magikarp that won't let you escape from it.

We walked to the base of the mountain, and I turned to Kiryu to say, "hey, if you have any Voice Disc that you want to use, get them ready now, so you can use them whenever." Before he even had a chance to get it ready though I could see the ground in front of us being dug up. From this ground a head, just a head, emerged. It was a brown Pokemon, with two eyes, and a pink nose. Some people say this thing has feet, and it must have hands if it can learn Sucker Punch.

"Care to face this Diglett?"

"Hey, if you have any Voice Disc that you want to use, get them ready now, so you can use them whenever." the ranger said to him after they had teleported to inside of Deckbi. Before he could open his mouth to reply, he noticed a small little ground type burrow underneath them and appear in front of them. It was a mole type Pokemon, a Diglett. The beady black eyes stared back at him and its whisker twitched ever so slightly. It was quite cute but not what he was looking for. Bending down to pet the thing, he smiled beneath his mask. "Sorry but I'm not all interested in a Diglett. Speaking of disks, I have a Druddigon Voice Disk in my possession as well as a player. I'll buy a Pokedoll and use that."

It was understandable, Dugtrio wasn't that good. The only thing it was good for was making jokes about what it looked like. Though Kiryu offered to buy a Pokedoll, there was a chance that we could just be able to walk around the Diglett. And, that's just what we were able to do. Diglett gave us no trouble, and went back underground, and dug away. Perhaps to play another game of "DigDug." No matter what it was going to do I knew what we were going to do, continue on.

Shall we go inside the cave, or would we be better off going around, and up the mountain? Gardevoir asked.

Let's go with the cave, it would be safer, and we can always climb the mountain from the inside.

"We're ready anytime you are. If a Druddigon is going to come our way it will soon, otherwise you have four more chances at getting one to appear," I said Kiryu, as I started to lead him into the cave. I made sure to keep my eyes open for any Pokemon, it was a little dark in here, so I figured it'd be a good idea to have a Pokemon light the way.

"Come on out Chandelure," I said, as the chandelier Pokemon came out. "Do me a favor, and use your flames to light up the path if you don't mind." Chandelure smiled, uhh at least I think it did, it was hard to tell with it's face, and lit the way for us. With this new light we started to really walk along, and before I knew it we ran into another Pokemon.

It was an orange, insect like Pokemon. The underside of its body was white, making it remind me of a creamsicle. It had four short, stumpy legs for walking. It had a massive head, I mean this head was huge in comparison to it's body, made me wonder if it had a big brain or not. This was the first stage of a three stage Pokemon, with the final evolved form being a member of the exclusive Dragon-type.

"We're ready anytime you are. If a Druddigon is going to come our way it will soon, otherwise you have four more chances at getting one to appear," the ranger said as Kiryu looked around, hopping the cave dragon to appear. The cave had some intricate markings on the wall. He ran his hand across them and looked at them with interest, feeling the bump and ridges underneath his fingertips. The rangers' Chandelure lit a path in front of us with its bright, ghastly flame. Exia was thinking, always thinking. Kiryu could tell by the look on his face. Distracted and gazing. Perhaps he was hoping to fight the Druddigon in case it actually appeared. Another Pokemon appeared before then as they made a bit closer inside the cave. It was a Trapinch, a ground type Pokemon. When it evolves, it gains a Dragon type advantage to it which allowed it to resist many types but made it extremely vulnerable to Ice types attacks. He had already had a Flygon so it wouldn't be right to catch this on. "I'd like to pass this one too if its alright."

 

"I'd like to pass this one too if its alright," Kiryu said, in response to seeing Trapinch. I supposed that was fair, although Dragon-types could be rare, and powerful, Flygon was actually one of the more common Dragon-types out there. Still though, being a Dragon-type, well, a pre-evolved Pokemon, that would become a Dragon, could be a bit of a hassle to get around. Especially if this was the kind of Pokemon that enjoyed a good fight. The only real way to know though was to just try to head around it, and if we couldn't escape Kiryu would need to burn a Pokedoll to get around.

I led Kiryu towards Trapinch, who just looked at us. It didn't appear to want to battle, but then again it could just be leading us into a trap, waiting until our backs were turned to make a move. Thankfully though that wasn't the case, and we got away from Trapinch with no trouble. "Well, that was good for you Kiryu. Now lets keep moving, and see if we can't run across a Druddigon," I said to Kiryu. Druddigon did seem like a cave Pokemon to me, so if this voice disk of his was to work, then it was to work inside of this cave. Otherwise he'd just need to take his luck with what he encounters. We went into a subsection of the cave, and in the distance I could see something, it wasn't a Druddigon because this thing was flying.

I had Chandelure move a little closer, so I could investigate with its light. It was a somewhat purplish, or perhaps a bit of a shade of blue, bat-like Pokemon. It had claws, or pincers, like those of Scizor's, though this wasn't a Bug-type Pokemon. It was a Ground, and Flying-type, though it could pass itself off as a Bug-type. It had these weird yellow eyes, and you could see red on its body. Six fangs, as well as wings could be seen on it. This was a pretty popular Pokemon.

"Well, that was good for you Kiryu. Now lets keep moving, and see if we can't run across a Druddigon," said the ranger. He nodded in agreement as Trapinch's were fairly sneaky in appearance. Kiryu continued along the pathway and viewed the cave along with whatever Chandelure shined its flames on. The voice disk continued to play on, and he was hoping he'd see one before the last two disks were up. Looking up, he noticed a quick shadow flying back and forth. The scorpion-like tail and bat wings made it some what visible. It was a Gliscor, the ground and flying type. This was a big find as many people loved Gliscors. Then again, the 4x weakness to Ice types never made it very appealing to begin with. "Sorry to seem like a bother but this one isn't capturing my fancy..and since I have one as well."

It was a bit of an annoyance, I mean there was nothing wrong with Gliscor, even if you already own one there is always bound to be people out there looking for one since its powerful. But it was too late for that now, and he just wanted to go around perfectly good trade bait. Much like with the other Pokemon he encountered before it, this Gliscor gave us no trouble in trying to get around it. So with that we were off again, and Kiryu was still playing that Druddigon voice disk. Hopefully it would work so that a battle would actually happen here, and this wouldn't just seem like a nature walk.

We continued to walk around the cave system, and if I remembered anything from seeing trainers trips here, it was that we would soon be back outside, and less likely to actually find a Druddigon. Still, we wouldn't be out of the cave just yet, so that still gave us time. As I turned my head to look around the final corner before the exit, I couldn't help but hear a roar. I thought to myself that this was maybe what Kiryu had been searching for.

Off in the distance was a rather large Dragon-type Pokemon. The majority of this dragon was blue, although you could see some other colors on it. Its head, as well as all the spikes on its body, where a shade of red instead, and its midsection, well, I didn't even know what color to call that. Though this creature was a Dragon-type, it seemed more reptilian than it did dragon. It couldn't fly, although it had wings. And I couldn't help but notice the three sharp claws on each hand, and food that it had. Kiryu may have wanted one of these, but he'd be a fool to take it lightly, especially if it had Sheer Force as its ability.

They would watch the Gliscor fly off into the cave. He had just given up good trade bait but it was worth what was coming up next. Although he didn't know it, a Druddigon was sleeping up ahead. The roar of a Pokemon similar to the voice box was heard, followed by loud stomping. He braced myself and looked up at the two glowing eyes that were in front of them. It was a few meters away but it seemed a lot closer than that. I notice Exia tense up, not from fear or intimidation, but excitement.

"Well, here's that Druddigon you had wanted."

It it was indeed what he wanted. The Chandelures' flames flickered lightly then intensed, giving off a brighter view of the cave dragon. ts body, color scheme wise, did not entirely match. Its head was bright red, the body a bright cyan color. All along its arms and back were red spikes. His claws were also a bloody red. Had it just eaten? Kiryu wouldn't want Exia to be its next meal. Keeping his eyes on the advancing Druddigon, the trainer reopened the mind link and started formulating a battle plan. It would be crucial since they were in a narrow hallway. They had space to maneuver but they would had to be precise in their movements.

"Exia, think you'll be up to handling this fight?"

"I'm fairly sure I can handle this. Not unscathed or unharmed but it is doable. What is the strategy?"

"Well from my understanding, Druddigon are not that fast but they could make up for it if given the chance. They do have a myriad of moves in their set list so watch your back in there, that thing can learn Shadow Claw and Aerial Ace. That won't fair well if his ability is Sheer Force...or Rough Skin. You're in for a brawl Exia."

"I understand sire. Ice Punch is at my disposal. I can try and detain this beast as fast as I can and hit it from afar."

"Ice Punches won't be easy to get off even if he's slower. Hit and run tactics?"

"Yes."

"Hrm...I like it. Go on. I'll be here watching and instructing. Stay focused, keep moving and don't waste too much energy. Understand?"

"Yes my liege," he said as we moved past the ranger as his Pokemon. His blade glowed a faint green and extinguished as he got in position. His stance was solid as were his blades as he was ready to strike. The roar of the Druddigon was loud but it didn't make Exia flinch what so ever. The Knight waited for his command as Kiryu thought of the best plan of attack. Perhaps a layered combo would be best.

"Exia, Thunder Wave and then lead into a forward X Scissor. I want to get out of this narrow gap so we can have some better options!"

"It shall be done!"

Gallade concentrated a bright blue ball of electricity in his hands. Kiryu watched as that area of the cave was illuminated in a flickering aura. He released the wave towards the Druddigon, the electric sparks dancing in the air. While he was releasing the electrical wave, his arms were glowing a light blue, charging up what power he could into an X Scissor strong enough to move it out of the cave. He could see the light at the end of the cave and they weren't very far from it as well. All he needed was a decent shove and they would have a better arena to wage their battle in.

 

Kiryu seemed to either engage in a deep state of thought, or got into a conversation with his Gallade, or perhaps he was just constipated. Whichever one of these three things it was though I knew he wanted this Druddigon, though I didn't know why. Druddigon wasn't exactly the best Dragon-type, and it was also pretty slow. I guess you couldn't ignore its abilities though; there was first Rough Skin, which would take away one eighth of the attacking Pokemon's health, when they hit Druddigon with a contact move. This was great to add together with a Rocky Helmet to really damage an opposing Pokemon with minimal work. There was, of course, also Sheer Force. What that did was remove secondary effects from a move, such as taking away the chance of letting Thunder paralyze, and boost the attack strength by thirty percent. In some rare cases this thing was even know to have Mold Break. That would ignore opponents abilities like Levitate. It was good to have on something like Excadrill, if you wanted to Earthquake a Gengar.

Kiryu seemed to be ready to move. I wasn't entire sure what he was going to attempt though. I mean, he would need to be careful against this thing, or it would give Gallade a beating. "Exia, Thunder Wave and then lead into a forward X Scissor. I want to get out of this narrow gap so we can have some better options!" he commanded. I supposed it was a decent way to begin things. If Thunder Wave could hit, then Druddigon would be slower, though it was already pretty slow, possibly unable to attack, and in the long run it would be easier to capture. X-Scissor was a good idea too, not so much for damage, especially if Druddigon had Rough Skin, but to move it out of this cave, and give them both some breathing room. It was certainly a creative way to being a battle.

First up came Thunder Wave. In theory this was a good idea, because due to Druddigon's minimal speed, as well as lack of room, it shouldn't have had a very good chance to escape. It prepared a blue ball of crackling energy. This ball was in fact the Thunder Wave itself, just in a less conventional way. It set its sights on Druddigon, and fired it off, but Druddigon wasn't going to sit there and take this. It inhaled deeply, and let out a loud shout, or roar. The force of this caused the Thunder Wave to be sent flying back at Gallade. Luckily for Gallade though the returning energy just flew by his head, and went flying off into the cave. Druddigon used a Roar to do away with Thunder Wave. This was actually pretty unique, because Roar was generally used to just force away Pokemon, but in this case it was used to force away a move instead.

While Druddigon spent his time doing this, Gallade prepared his next move. Generally with X-Scissor the user would cross their arms like a pair of scissors when they attacked the foe. In this case though Gallade would already have his arms in the form of an X, and would, probably, lunge at Druddigon, and try to force it out of the cave. Gallade was no doubt an opportunist though. Before Druddigon finished collecting itself, Gallade jumped at Druddigon, and started to force it back. Though it wasn't until Druddigon went to attack that Gallade made any real progress. While being pushed forward, Druddigon put its body down, and smacked Gallade with its tail. This didn't do a lot, as Gallade was able to balance itself. Though it was enough to send Gallade out of the cave. Druddigon had used Dragon Tail, which was essentially the Dragon-type, and damaging, equivalent of Roar. Once Gallade was out of the cave, Druddigon, and of course all of us followed. Though this wasn't what Kiryu exactly had in mind, he did get what he wanted.

This Druddigon was a worthy opponent. It used Roar in order to repel the Thunder Wave right back towards Exia but instead harmlessly whizzed by his head. Exia would then break in to a run and hit Druddigon with a X Scissor. He began to force the Druddigon back towards the exit of the cave but the Druddigon hunkered down and swung its massive tail at the knight. Gallade went flying out of the Cave but managed to land onto a flat rock surface. The Druddigon followed and let loose a massive roar. I ran past the ranger and came up to the opening and watched the area. Hopefully I could still maintain the psychic link from that distance.

"Exia. Can you hear me at all?"

"Y-yes. That was quite a fall but I'm alright. It seems I can't get a lock on his ability. Although I did come into contact with it so I can guess its not Rough Skin. Perhaps Sheer Force or Mold Breaker? Its quiet puzzling. Perhaps we can think of a new plan of attack? Thunder Wave didn't last long or had any effect. Perhaps use it a bit later?"

"Yes that can be done. But for now lets focus on the major points of our attack. You have Ice Punch and X Scissor seemed to do SOME damage. Now your in a wider area with room to hide and evade. Use this to your advantage. Perhaps we can cause some hazard damage around the area. Like make a thick sheet of ice for it to slip on. It isn't all that fast so hopefully we can pull some traps without destroying this place."

"I see....this makes for a game changer. Will the ice cause crack in Deckbis bottom? We don't need to destroy the place."

"Just a thin level. Slippery enough but not enough to stomp through."

"Understood."

The Gallade broke in to a run, the slit beneath his coming up in a dust cloud as he jump above the cave dragon. He landed behind it and raised his hand above him. His hands collected light, frosty blue light and slammed it on the ground. A light wave of frost trailed towards it and enveloped a decent patch of land underneath the Druddigon. He jumped backwards and prepared a Thunder attack. A sparking yellow orb appeared in his hands as it began to charge up energy. He figured that since ice was just frozen water but who knew.

IC: I was curious to see what Kiryu would end up doing here, I think it cause his last combo didn't go so smoothly. Thunder Wave was sent flying away, and although he wanted Gallade to take Druddigon out of the cave, it ended up being the other way around with Druddigon smacking Gallade out of the cave. His Gallade did have some pretty nice moves though, but which one/ones would he select? Druddigon, despite some minor setbacks, could easily be considered a fearsome foe. Kiryu couldn't let his guard down for an instant, or Druddigon would easily take advantage of the situation.

Gallade at random started to charge, I was going to assume that Kiryu gave it some sort of command telepathically. Its fist started to change into a color of blue, and froze over. It was using Ice Punch, an Ice-type move where the user would attack the opposing Pokemon with a frozen punch. This was a brilliant idea, seeing as how Dragon-types, well most Dragon-types, were weak to Ice. Though, Gallade didn't go for Druddigon. Rather it jumped into the air, and threw its fist at the ground. What it seemed like it was doing was trying to make a layer of ice, sort of like a hockey rink on the ground. I would guess this would be to trying and make it hard for Druddigon to move around, but it could do the same to Gallade too.

Hey, this isn't Mount Oktori, there shouldn't be ice up here ever, I thought to myself. Gardevoir, hearing this thought, started to chuckle a little. It was true though, this was Mount Deckbi, the complete opposite of Mount Oktori. While Oktori was a frozen, sort of winter-like area, Deckbi was a burning hot volcano. Though Kiryu did want Gallade to make a layer of ice, I highly doubted it would last more than a few moments even, given the heat here. Not to mention the fact that the sun was up too. I had to question his thinking on this one.

The ice layer was made, but it already started to melt into water. Before Gallade could even start on its next move though, Druddigon was going at it. It started to turn its claws a shade of blue, or perhaps it was more purple. Either way though, they were changing color, and getting sharper. The move Druddigon was using was a Dragon Claw. It was just a standard move with no added bonus, but when it was used by a Dragon-type it was usually a very powerful move. If Gallade wasn't careful it could be feeling some serious damage from this attack. Druddigon charged in, with its right claw pointed at Gallade. Just as it was about to strike though, Gallade put up its right arm to lessen the impact of the blow. It sacrificed its own arm to protect itself in the long run. It was a risky move, but it could still probably use the arm at least, so that was good.

Gallade got back into position, and started to charge up a Thunder. Gallade would charged up some electricity in its hands, and eventually some storm clouds would begin to show up. Although Thunder was created by the user at its body, it was sent up into these clouds, and would strike down from above, similar to how actual lighting works really. It would take some luck for this attack to hit Druddigon, and if Kiryu was very lucky it could even paralyze....but who knew.

LAST TIME ON THE EDGE OF MOUNTAIN DECKBI: the fierce, and yet cunning Kiryu had used his underhand of skills to battle one of the dangerous Pocket Monster commonly known as Druddigon. His plans had fallen short when Gallade had began put together a move to switch the environment into their advantage with a simple sheet of ice. However, the thin sheet of ice that Kiryu had planned had melted into the common liquid form of hydrogen peroxide. The higher temperatures of Mountain Decktbi had caused the ice to melt the second the frozen material met contract with the ground. The psychic Pokemon Gallade, had tried to make up for his short-coming as he gathered energy to produce an attack. In the event, the worst turned for Kiryu as Druddigon hit Gallade with a hard, as well damaging Dragon Claw attack. What's left for the two and close partners of the ninja brotherhood is a thunder attack that could decide everything. What would become of this turn of events? Sit back and watch up next as time unravels all queries of the like-minded!

Wherever anyone was stationed at on Mountain Decktbi, there was one thing that everyone could see and that was a non-existent sky. A blanket of white, greyish ash had fogged over the sky and no human or creature could eye out specs of the blue, wondrous atmosphere. Instead, the died out brown ground that formed the mountain with tints of hard, spicy red was what was left to see. The tip top of the mountain that could be seen was an opening that fed more and more smoke into the ash filtered air. Down a couple steeps of the spiraling rings were a couple of beings not originally living on the high in-climate weather. The beings had with them assorted creatures that faced one of the many beasts that inhabited the land. A couple of cries here and there were heard, but they were of little to no concern. The only concern was the creature that had to be faced, a monstrous dragon that someone desired. The very reason why the wanderer had dared to try to challenge such a complex task. Skilled or not, the battle that begun could anytime soon be a battle well lost. As long as hope was by their side and the strengths of brotherhood was standing strong, perhaps nothing was impossible.

A flare of gentian irises had flickered and squint into the situation. The head of his body is practically covered for the most part and tucked tight to secure the fabric material. Going down his neck was a black colored base outfit. A torso was worn with a pair of matching gloves and then as well black pants that hid away the color of his skin. His feet that stood firmly on the ground were covered in a light fabric material that provided ease with his lower body skills. On the back in a well-built sash was a kantana that held well. His hands open and closed, squeezing into fists and then un-squeezing. The ninja known as Kiryu had to reflect back to the events of his park run that led to where he is now. Recalling back to where he met up with his ranger and his ranger's Gardevoir then through the several Pokemon (Diglett, Trapnich, Gliscor) he had passed up in the opportunity to run into a Druddigon that was his main target all along. A creature that he had not yet faced and wanted to test his own skills. A couple beads of sweat had ran down the side of Kiryu's cheek. The humidity had caused his face to grow a slight red color as anyone would in these high temperatures. Kiryu evaluated the results of his actions.

There was the thunder wave that Kiryu had his Pocket Monster formulate to direct the Druddigon into a more open area that allowed more accessibility to attacks that didn't exactly turned out how he had imagined. The dragon had let out a stinging roar that left his ears ringing. Gallade was able to place some damage onto the rigid Pokemon's health. Then there was the x-scissor attack with the purpose to help out with his thunder wave had precipitated some minimal damage. Such an attack required contact that did not cause any damage to the psychic humanoid Pocket Monster, which had knocked down the possibility of what ability the Druddigon used. Following after a redirected change of plans that his sweep of combination ended up producing, was an attempt to possibly change the environment into his advantage. When it comes to the battling field, Kiryu could usually reconstruct the field for an advantage. Thus he came to that conclusion to have his Gallade formulate an ice punch to spread ice upon the ground to create a slippery arena for the Druddigon. However, what originally was suppose to be a slip of ease turned into a flow of failure. The ice had crumbled down the chemicals that created the ice in the first place to replace with a liquidation of hydrogen peroxide. The liquid seeped into the ground and Kiryu was trying to establish a plan.

Currently, the psychic humanoid was focused on a thunder attack. An attack to create some damage, yet stall time to think deeply into his thoughts on where to go from there. Kiryu didn't mean to have his Pocket Monster perform such simple and average attacks versus the daring, combinations the brave type preferred. Kiryu had to think of something or Gallade could take the matters of the battle into his own limbs. The five foot tall Pokemon that weighed the average human held his skinny, green limbs at a 45 degree angle on the side with his T-shaped ends putting forth power to heat up the ashy clouds above them. In a heated environment with electrons running wild, the time didn't take long for the friction of the heat to show flares of electric energy. The red iris of Gallade's eyes focused onto the amber, fierce eyes of the Druddigon. A loud crackle echoed in the sky and shortly the air began to feel different where the white humanoid body stood. One rumble was all that had to be heard before traces of sharp yellow, zig-zag shaped mimicries of energy hit the ground. It was unknown to either the Pocket Monster or Kiryu how the thunder had dealt. Did the thunder even hit the Druddigon? He had no time to stall any longer.

"We might as well use what we have now," Kiryu transmitted his thoughts to his brothering, 'create an earthquake.'

"Yes, my liege," Gallade had responded.

The red eyes sharpen and the green helmet that covered most of the portion of the head with a fin that stuck out had tipped forward slightly. His inner self tried to sense a part of the ground with his thick, white legs. The three of his toes that touched well together had started to feel something, a familiar feeling. The green lower part of Gallade's helmet tilted up and one of his legs rose then smacked onto the ground. Another sound of rumbling had increased in volume down across the ground. Gallade's red eyes had started to notice something. There was a semi-clear entrance in the front blind-spot of Druddigon. He had amber eyes only on the sides of his body and that left the spot between his eyes in the front an opening for a possible target. They had to do something quick or they could lose the chance to obtain the Druddigon. Gallade had to stay faithful and obey Kiryu. Their ninja brotherhood oath would have no meaning if he would simply disregard everything that their relationship stood for. Yet, Gallade didn't want Kiryu to fail this moment and desired to do more than simple attacks.

"Please, forgive me, my liege," the Gallade had transmitted into Kiryu.

There was a perfect moment to attack and Gallade would not lose that moment. His t-shaped limbs had touched together and Gallade focused a bit until another psychic humanoid body had appeared. A second clone of a Gallade appeared on the other side of the Gallade. Squatting down, the real Gallade had prepared for what he had in mind. His red eyes squinted and traced the blue, tan, and red colored beast. His rigid, triangular sharp skin had covered the outside well. The blue body base had red sharp edges that ran down the Druddigon's limbs and the spinal cord. Then the outline edge of Druddigon's wings were sharp. However, the opening to the blind-spot that led to the non-sharp body was where the Gallade had to try to attack. The clones of the Gallade on both of his sides had grasped the sides of his body to hold up. Their green limbs swung back with the Gallade in their hold and then forth, back once more, then low and behold, the Gallade was thrown. This is what the Gallade had prepared for as he dove on his back over the broken down ground to the underside of Druddigon's body.

Back where the Gallade was thrown, the clones had started to glow at the hands. Their minds worked on submitting what power they had left to aid their creator. A helping hand was given as the main Gallade's t-shaped blades had started to glow. A formation of a light blue power had been revealed. Kiryu had kept his attention on his Gallade to figure out what he was doing. From the looks of it, Gallade was performing a daring move, which was more than typical of his character. The energy on his Pokemon's t-shaped blades was an ice punch and he guessed that Gallade if anything, was going to try to hit with an ice punch onto the stomach of the Druddigon. No, Kiryu had not thought that far. Staring back at the clones, they were each separated at a distance. When he eyed the dragon, one of each clone was in seeing distance of each eye. The clones were trying to distract the Druddigon to try and allow for more of a successful opportunity to hit.

Gallade had adjusted his elbows back. Any type punch attack needed to have a move to push off and direct the attack. His t-shaped, green blades had popped up and he had given all he could into the big ice punch to try to hit Druddigon. What Gallade had hoped for was the ice punch to meet contact with the tan colored belly of the Druddigon. An area that would not have any protection. This was better known as the blind-spot, the area that the dragon had to be hit at. That's what Gallade had hoped as the frozen matter had released to hit wherever it would hit. The light of the ice punch grew and Kiryu had tried to withstand the blue brightness of the attack. The most important thing right now to Kiryu was if Gallade was OK. That should be everyone's top priority in this situation. The light of the punch was slowly fading away with what looked to be smoke that any collision of an attack could cause.

"Gallade, are you there?" Kiryu asked, transmitting his thoughts to the psychic humanoid. The clones of the Gallade nearby had poofed. The mixture of the white smoke that left after they had poofed had mixed and tangled in with the smoke of the collision. Who knows what Gallade could have hit. Hopefully, for better or worst, Gallade would be able to transport back to the spot beside him.

"Yes, my liege." Gallade's thoughts had responded to his partner.

"When you can, try to see if you can teleport..." Kiryu replied back with his thoughts to his Gallade. All there was to do now was wait. Kiryu had brought this hand up to wipe some of the beads of sweat. It was hard to tell now if this was just the excitement of the moment with what Gallade had done. He had to continue to stay composed. Sometimes the best way to get through any situation is to remain calm and that is what Kiryu had done. It was his responsibility to still follow by his ninja oath. He may have felt some distaste for Gallade's choice to act on his own, but sometimes dire situations called for dire plans. Kiryu left his blue eyes to gaze into the area where hypothetically, the Druddigon and his Gallade were the last time he saw them before the collision

Kiryu hadn't had the best of luck against Druddigon so far, or maybe he just wasn't doing the best things, but either way Druddigon was putting up one hell of a fight. The way things stood currently Kiryu didn't stand much of a chance of catching it. It would take a powerful combo to just weaken this thing, and much more than that to capture it. I'm sure he knew this though, and would do what it took to capture Druddigon. It wasn't the best Pokemon, but it certainly had some uses. It was slow, but its abilities just couldn't be ignored, they were pretty useful. I certainly did wonder what Kiryu would do though, since he usually sent moves to Gallade via his mind, I had no way of hearing them in advance.

It looked as though Gallade went to finish up its Thunder attack first. This was clear as the storm clouds were gathering, but it would take more than some parlor trick like Thunder to slow Druddigon down. It proved this, by making a defense to counterattack the Thunder. It stared up at the sky, and its eyes started to glow. This meant only one thing, and that thing was happening right now. The sun started to intensify, which in turn shattered away the storm clouds, ruining Thunder before it even began. What Druddigon did was use Sunny Day. Sunny Day had several uses, most of which were great which is why Ninetales was so commonly seen now. First this boost in sunlight would increase all Fire-type attacks by fifty percent in damage, and likewise decrease all Water-type attacks by fifty percent. It made Thunder a lot less likely to work, and made Solarbeam work without charging it up. It prevent the freeze status from happening, and would also allow some of abilities to active.

Gallade saw this, but hey it wasn't down yet. All Druddigon did was make the sun shine, it didn't hit Gallade, and so Gallade had the chance to get in an attack. That's just what it did. It jumped up, and slammed both of its feet against the ground when it came back down. The whole ground we were standing on started to shake violently. Gallade was using Earthquake, a move that acted just like its name was. If Kiryu wasn't careful this Earthquake could destroy the ground we were standing on.

"Come on out here Nidoking," I said, as I sent out Nidoking. He was Eric's trusty starter, who didn't get much face time, but was still always by either my or his side at all times. "I need you to brace the ground, got it?" I said to Nidoking, who stuck his claws into the ground, and held it steady. Thanks to this the ground was fine, but the waves of damage from it still managed to hit Druddigon, who fell to his knees from this. You could see in its face that it was angry, and wanted to counter attack, but Gallade was already getting its next attack ready.

Gallade started to move its feet back and forth in place, and started to move at a fast pace. By doing this it created some image copies, or afterimages of itself. It was using Double Team, a move to confuse opposing Pokemon, and try to get their attacks to miss. It wasn't really a strategy I liked, or could say I approved of, but it was effective either way. This wasn't the end though. Gallade started to do a move that it used before to no effect; Ice Punch. Its hand would freeze over, and it would take a punch at Druddigon. That's just what it did. With its right fist infused with energy of the Ice-type, it charged at Druddigon while the Dragon-type was trying to figure out which Gallade was the real one. It didn't get a chance though, as Gallade punched it right in the stomach, making Druddigon drop to the ground and grab its stomach.

Druddigon was hurt sure, but above all else it was angry now. You could see in its eyes that it was mad. It stood up, and clinched its claws to its hands like it made a fist, and then let out a thunderous roar. It started smashing around at anything near it, and let out a powerful blast of energy. This energy was so intense that it actually vaporized all of Gallade's clones, and sent the real Gallade flying into one of the mountain walls. Gallade only smacked against, not go through it which was good since it stayed concise, but it was pretty hurt that was clear. And this wasn't the end of things, Druddigon would keep going crazy like this for a little while longer.

"This is nuts, if that thing isn't careful it could blow all of us away. You'd better be careful Kiryu, or Gallade could get hurt bad."

"Thank you for the assistance," he said as he turned to the ranger. "I will try to be more respectful of the terrain and area next time." With a quick bow, he returned to the battle at hand. He was hoping he could concentrate long enough for Gallade to find an opening in Druddigons defenses.

"This is nuts, if that thing isn't careful it could blow all of us away. You'd better be careful Kiryu, or Gallade could get hurt bad." The ranger said as I watched the Outraging Druddigon was showing off its brute strength. Gallade was ready, getting its stance ready to attack. He was analyzing the random movements between the dragons moves. Moving back a bit, He felt the bruise in the small of his back where he hit the wall. GRoaninf, he concentrated more of the ice energy into his hands and smirked. He began running toward the dragon. His speed wasn't amazing but it was much faster than Druddigons. The most it could do is Sucker Punch him. Kiryu was hoping it didn't come to that. He wanted to play it smart and use another way.

"Time to put you down Dragon!" the knight said as he got into position.

"Wait Exia, use Thunder Wave to Paralyze it. I have something to try! Remember the Cubone Costume I won a while back? I think this might help give you an advantage."

With that, Kiryu pulled out a Cubone skull and placed it on his head. It was a Cubone costume he had won in a contest for the National Park. It was supposed to intimidate it a little bit, hopefully it would stop it long enough for Exia's Thunder Wave to hit. It was an actual Cubone skull so of course it would be a bit terrifying or it could enrage the Druddigon even more. Combined with his ninja gear, he seemed like a ninja warlord or a Shogun. Exia had charged up the glowing yellow ball once more and ran towards the Druddigon, shooting out the electrical bolt towards it, still holding onto the Ice Punch attack with some difficulty. Grabbing my Pokeball, he waited for the Ice Punch to collide with it, hopefully. If it did, he would throw his HyperBall towards the Druddigon and pray he would make a catch.

 

I could see in Kiryu's eyes that he had every intention to wrap this battle up here. I didn't know if that was possible or not though. Druddigon was tough, and it could easily take a lot more to bring the creature down. I guess anything was worth a shot though. Just had to take your chances, and hope for the best. But I had no clue what Kiryu could do. He had Gallade pretty much pull out all of its tricks. It also didn't help that Druddigon was using Outrage, not really giving Gallade many chances to strike either. It was going to be risky, yes.

It didn't seem like Gallade cared much about Druddigon's Outrage though, as it went to charge at it again. When I looked closely at it I could see the same source of icy energy that I'd already seen before. Gallade was once again using Ice Punch.

Oh boy, Ice Punch, how boring and redundant, I thought to myself. It was true, using the same move over and over again never seemed to go well. You give the opposing Pokemon enough chances to see the move, and they're bound to know what to do against it. Even if Druddigon was using Outrage it could fight away. Plus charging at a Pokemon using Outrage was pretty dumb. It was signing your own death warrant. I wasn't going to tell Kiryu how to battle though, this was his fight to fight, not mine.

Gallade charged at Druddigon, and started to swing, but Druddigon was using Outrage to protect itself. Gallade tried to throw a punch, but with Druddigon thrashing around it wasn't possible. Gallade would go in for a shot, and would be hit across the face, or the body by Druddigon first. This what I meant, it had seen Ice Punch enough times now that it was able to see each incoming shot with it that Gallade tried, and smack Gallade away before it hit. That was before Gallade took a bit of a cheap shot. It punched Druddigon in its left leg, causing the creature to fall down. This wasn't it yet though, Gallade fired out some waves of static electricity. Druddigon could do nothing to defend itself while it was down, and was now paralyzed due to Thunder Wave.

Kiryu pulled a Hyper Ball from hits backpack, and set his sights on Druddigon. Now was his only chance at this, because if I knew the minds of some Pokemon then I could safely say Druddigon was annoyed, and would strike Gallade at full force when it got back up. The ball was throw, and even though Druddigon was weakened it still put up a pretty good struggle to free itself from the ball. Ultimately though it didn't have such luck, and was now captured. I guess that was a good thing for Kiryu, since it probably would have knocked out Gallade given the chance.

"All right then, now that you have Druddigon we can continue on whenever you're ready," I said, as I walked over to put the newly caught Pokemon's ball in my pocket.
