I was spinning around in my office chair, listening to the more senior Rangers yell at each other when the request came in. It even said that they'd prefer me as the Ranger. I snatched that one up as fast as it was posted.

"Come on out, Raticate," I said. "You, too, Gliscor."

I released my two favorite Pokemon from their Pokeballs. They stayed close to me, as we were still inside the Ranger Office. I stepped out of the small office space that I had been assigned and walked into the reception room.

There was a girl standing there, waiting for a Ranger. I looked at the file that I had printed off of the main server. Ashley Grey. This would be a good run. I hadn't been to the Power Plant before.

"Hello!" I called, catching her attention. "I'm Domonic Stone, your Ranger. Are you ready to start your journey into the Park?"

My two Pokemon seemed curious about the Trainer. Raticate padded over to her and gave her a rodent sniff, which is not at all different than a Houndour's way of sensing. My Gliscor hovered at my side.

I was sitting in a nearly empty bus on an old seat that looked like it hadn't been used for ages. Actually, the whole bus looked that way so it wasn't surprising that there was extremely hot. I was literally boiling and I felt like I would drink all of my water before I would get to the ranger outpost. The ride felt like it took ages, it was moving from side to side despite driving on a straight road. I was really happy there weren't any turns because I hadn't written my will yet. A few times I seriously thought that somethign fell from the bus when it hit a rock and the whole vehicle flew to air. I felt my body raise and the fall twice as fast along with the bus. It was a really nasty feeling. When the bus finally stopped, I felt like kissing the ground out of happiness. I left the bus nearly immediatelly and enjoyed the much cooler air outside even though it was quite hot.

I checked my items for millionth time making sure I had everything I wanted. When I realised that everything was there, I pulled out a small spray bottle. It was light purple with a transparent circle on sides. In this circle was a liquid drop of the same colour as the bottle hidden under a red cross. The bottle read "Anti-Poison Type Repellent" excluding some warnings about children under three years old and some other stuff. I quickly sprayed it over me and my Pokeballs on my belt. It should have made all Poison types avoid me so I used it all up to make sure it would work. Then I moved towards the Ranger office. Despite going to the park for 3rd time, I was really nervous since I was really good with people.

I slowly came into the office staring at my feet and subconsciously played with my hands. When I entered the main hall I heard a voice calling at someone and hoping it would be my ranger, I turned to it. Luckily it was him and I didn't have to look for him asking other people. I hated that.

"Hello!" He shouted throught the whole hal and it made me slightly uncomfortable. I hoped we'd get out of the place fast because there were too many people for my liking.

"I'm Domonic Stone, your Ranger. Are you ready to start your journey into the Park?" He asked, probably smiling judging from the tone of his voice but I didn't see it becuase I was too busy staring everywhere else but at him.

I noticed he had something in his hand, some papers, possibly about me and this run. When he moved them, my picture was revealed and I subconsciously moved my hand to my ponytail sticking from my cap with Pokeball symbol making sure it doesn't look stupid like in the photo.

As my eyes were traveling through the room, they came across his two Pokemon. I like Pokemon more than humans because they didn't have weird questions and they were really cute. He had a Raticate who ran to me but still kept its distance and sniffed at my feet. His other Pokemon was Gliscor that has floating next to him looking curiously at me. I smiled since I felt much better when Pokemon were around. It took me a while until I fianlly decided to reply to him.

"Y-yeah... uh... I guess I am." I stuttered my answer what made me angry with myself. He already knew my name so I didn't bother introducing myself. It must have sounded really stupid, what was actually the reason why I didn't like meeting new people.

To make myself focus on something else, I took an orange Pokeplayer form my bag. It was a small cube like machine. When I pressed a button, the top opened and let me insert a disc. I did that and I closed it again. It was easy to carry, since I could just hang it on my bag.

"Umm," I asked for his attention because I was certain he was interested in what I was doing. Even if he wasn't, I was going to tell him anyway.

"I've just inserted a Porygon voice disc, but I'll turn it on when we enter the Power Plant so that I wouldn't any time." I described my previous actions and waited for his word to leave for the journey.

"Y-yeah... uh... I guess I am." she stuttered. She was obviously nervous.

She glanced around a little, at me, my Pokemon and the surroundings. After fiddling with her ponytail, she flipped out a small box. The box, a Pokeplayer, opened and Ashe inserted a disk into it.

"I've just inserted a Porygon voice disc," she told me. "But I'll turn it on when we enter the Power Plant so that I wouldn't any time."

It was nice of her to not play it in the waiting room. The last person who tried that got sent out by the attendants, along with a police escort. Called it "disturbing the peace" or something like that.

I then motioned for her to follow me to where the Ranger jeeps were kept. I climbed into the driver's seat after returning my Raticate and waited for Ashe to climb in.

My Gliscor flew overhead as we drove off to the Power Plant. Before long, we had arrived. The gloomy, damaged building sported quite a bit of overgrowth for a place that was often a destination for tourists and avid Pokemon collectors alike.

I led the Trainer through the entry way and into the location. It was my first time there and it was amazing. Broken computers and other contraptions lay scattered about the grimy floor. I could see the shadows of Pokemon lurking behind the wreckage. Gliscor seemed itching for a fight, but he would be able to restrain himself. I let my Raticate back out of its Pokeball. After the brown rat got used to his surroundings, he began to explore, sniffing around in the new place. All the while, Ashe was playing the Porygon Voice Disk, adding their cries to the mix of electronic sounds. It was quite erie.

There was a cry from the corner Raticate was sniffing at and a small, blue and yellow sheep ran, slightly scared, out from its hiding place. It was a Mareep, the lowest form of electric sheep Pokemon.

"Looks like the Disk didn't attract what you wanted," I said, taking time to scold Raticate for causing trouble. "Do you want to capture this Mareep instead?"

When we came out of the building, it was still hot to my disappointment. The sun seemed like it got even brighter during the time I spent in the building and the wind felt hotter. I liked hot weather but I was honestly glad that my trip was inside a building and not outside. We went out and I followed my ranger into a big green car without roof that I’d seen in many adventure films. He left his Gliscor outside of its Pokeball during the whole travel to the power plant. I was wondering whether I should do the same but I figured out that my Pokemon wouldn’t like this hot weather just like me. After all, they couldn’t do much besides following us so it was rather pointless. The road was dusty and rocky so not only I couldn’t help coughing, I got thrown up here and there. I wasn’t really comfortable.

It felt like ages until we finally got to the Power Plant. The Pokeplayer was still tied on my backpack so I was certain that it wouldn’t fall off during the trip. I was really happy when I left the car and could stand on the ground and even happier when we finally entered the Power Plant. There were many broken computers and other devices I couldn’t recognise on big round tables. Next to them were several long stairs going up but also a few halls from the room. The tables and devices were decorated by webs created by some Pokemon but they, too, felt really old. Domonic called out his Raticate and it started sniffing around. His Gliscor was flying from one corner to another crying aggressively, as if it was looking for a Pokemon it could challenge.

I quickly pressed play on the Pokeplayer like I said I would so that I wouldn’t waste any time. Immediately, we heard a strange and noisy sound coming from the little gadget that made my ears hurt. It sounded like a broken radio. The deep electric noise was spreading through the power plant and for a while I was worried it wouldn’t work at all. But then something moved among the electronic mess. It was hard to see so I quickly reached for my Pokeballs and randomly pulled one of them out.

“Come on out!” I shouted when I threw the ball on the ground and a Pokemon appeared from a light red beam.

“Swampert!” The Pokemon cried to greet us and looked around wondering what was going on.

I pointed at the yellow thing behind the tables when it looked up. It had a light blue face and yellow fluffy fur.

“Mareep!” I shouted when it saw us, obviously surprised to see someone there.

"Looks like the Disk didn't attract what you wanted," Domonic stated and then continued. "Do you want to capture this Mareep instead?"

I looked at him and then at Mareep. I certainly wasn’t Porygon or anything close to it.

“No, I think I’ll wait for a Porygon to appear. I don’t want to waste energy of my Pokemon and catching this would be pointless since I’m not interested in it.” As I said it, I pressed replay button on the Pokeplayer, hoping it would work this time.

At the Mareep's sudden disturbance, Ashley jumped and sent out her Swampert to deal with the threat. Then, she saw that it was merely a small electric sheep and turned back to face me.

“No, I think I’ll wait for a Porygon to appear," she said. "I don’t want to waste energy of my Pokemon and catching this would be pointless since I’m not interested in it.”

As the Mareep dashed into another dark corner, Ashe pressed the button on the Pokeplayer again. The same raucous Pokemon cries reverberated across the metallic surfaces in the room, causing the Porygon's cry to sound as if it were all around us. Irritated, my Gliscor covered its sensitive ears.

I turned around to search for something that might want to battle Ashley, but didn't see anything. Then, I heard a loud noise that wasn't from the Pokeplayer.

    "Klink!" called a Pokemon.

When it finally floated out into the open, I could see that it was a Klink. It looked like it was unhappy to be woken up by the Pokeplayer. Seeing it, I began to question the use of the Pokeplayer in the park.

"Do you want to capture this Pokemon?" I asked.

Fortunately, we got rid of the Mareep without any trouble so we were free to move on. Swampy was still confused and didn’t really get what was going on even he was watching Mareep disappearing into darkness of one of the tunnels. He was looking its way as if he expected it to return or attack without warning, however, nothing like that was about to happen. The Mareep was simply gone within seconds and didn’t return. Swampy gave me a soft unhappy growl after which I patted him on his back. I knew he was let down by this sudden disappearing but he would join a battle for sure.

We walked ahead passing the tables and machines to the electric sound of the Pokeplayer. I was slowly getting used to it but Domonic's Gliscor didn't seem to feel the same way as me. Since the sound wasn't anything nice for me, I knew that the Pokemon with highly sensitive ears must have felt much worse. It was covering its ears and softly whispering "Gliscor" full of pain. I was wondering why Domonic wouldn't call it back to its ball but I figured he knew it well enough to know what's the best to it. His other Pokemon was following him but also running away to sniff on this here and there. My Pokemon, on the other hand, was both astonished and scared by our surroundings so he was walking right behind me but looking all around him at the same time. I was certain that if I stopped he would crash into me.

Domonic seemed to completely ignore his two Pokemon instead he was looking around himself as if he was looking for something. I wasn’t really sure why he was doing that, however, when I started thinking about it, I came up with a few ideas. He could be making sure that nothing would catch me off guard or that I wouldn’t get hit by something falling from the ceiling. After all, that place looked really old and not too safe.

Suddenly my Swampert jumped in front of me and growled as darkness before us. Domonic looked that way too and his Pokemon did the same thing. I was certain that I missed something because of the loud sound of the Pokeplayer. I tried to focus on the darkness and then I heard a Pokmon.

"Klink!" I called and when it came closer to us it revealed its round grey body.

"Do you want to capture this Pokemon?" Domonic looked at me, although he could more or less expect my answer.

"No, I no need for this Pokemon." I replied when I checked it in my Pokedex. Then I pressed replay on Pokeplayer once again.

After pointing out the Klink, I noticed how edgy Ashe's Swampert was getting. The Pokemon jumping out of the darkness and vanishing seemed to be unnerving it.

"No, I no need for this Pokemon." Ashley replied after checking it in her Pokedex. Then, she pressed replay on Pokeplayer once again.

For the third time, the sound echoed through the rooms and corridors of the abandoned power plan, calling for a Porygon. Then, I noticed that my Gliscor was covering its ears and grumbling again.

"Hey, buddy," I said quietly to him. "I've seen you take more powerful Bug Buzzes and fight on. Look, once we get out of here, I'll buy you some ice cream, but only if you take it like the powerful creature you are."

Gliscor immediately perked up. For some reason, my Gliscor really enjoyed ice cream despite his double weakness to the Ice-type. I guess that its the same thing as with humans and fire. We want the warmth of a fire, but can be burnt by it.

He, after some consideration, began to fly about the ceiling, keeping a watch on its status. In some areas, the roof was fractured and could come down. We wanted a warning if it might happen.

After that was settled, I heard a buzzing sound over the shrieking of the Pokeplayer. It sounded like something electronic was damaged. It wasn't a good sound. I looked around fearfully, expecting a computer to be about to explode, when I saw the source of the noise.

There was a small Elekid, eating the electricity from one of the already-damaged computers. The yellow, child-like creature then noticed us and let out a battle cry. This one was aggressive.

"How about an Elekid?" I asked Ashe.

When the steel type disappeared into another dark corridor, Swampert was once again left alone. He seemed to be really displeased and growled quietly but loud enough for me to hear it. It was obvious that he was itching for a battle and I could see that he was watching every single movement in the dark in case something would jump up on us and he could fight it. When he realised that the Pokemon won’t be back, he sat on the ground and was sulking what was noticeable because of his gentle growling and his lowered head placed on his chest. I came close to him and stroked his head but that only made him turn away. Fortunately, I knew this was just momentary since he would be overactive once again when something will want to battle us.

I pressed replay on my Pokeplayer and this time it didn’t make me jump so I figured I was getting used to the annoying electric sound that sounded like a record of a broken microwave right before an explosion. Pokeplayer was still hanging right next to me on my backpack when I was checking whether it was tied properly. As I was checking it, Domonic’s Gliscor covered its ears once again right after jerking from shock. I heard my ranger whisper something to his Pokemon but I wasn’t quite sure what it was. However, it cheered up his purple Pokemon immediately and made him fly over us happily. I smiled, after all this Pokemon was really cute. This made my Swampert make a really strange sound something between a sigh and a cry. I wanted to pet him again when I heard a really strange sound that made me shrug.

It sounded like electricity crying from pain or calling for help. I backed and turned around to see that the weird sound was just an Elekid munching on a broken computer. However, he wasn’t eating the machine but its energy. The yellow lightning was coming into its mouth through its hands. It didn’t really look as if he was helping himself with his hands because the electricity was hitting everything around it. I doubted it had some trouble getting the electricity out since the computers were all broken and in many pieces.

When Swampy noticed the Pokemon, he quickly ran in front of me, trying to protect me and growled loudly. The Pokemon heard it and looked our way. It stopped eating and cried louder than Swampy. Elekid looked like it wasn’t really happy that we disturbed its meal.

"How about an Elekid?" Domonic broke the silence full of battle tension, obviously not taking the situation seriously. At first, I was confused by his question because I got lost in the heat of battle cries. The Elekid did seem strong but I already had an Electivire so I didn’t need it.

“I think I’ll wait for something stronger to appear. Not that I would want to underestimate Elekid but I already have its evolved form.” I replied and I pressed play on the Pokeplayer once again.

“I think I’ll wait for something stronger to appear," she replied. "Not that I would want to underestimate Elekid but I already have its evolved form.”

Just as she was about to reach for the Pokeplayer to press the button again, I heard a noise. At first I thought she had already pressed play on the machine, but when I looked, Ashe hadn't yet. It was a similar noise, which meant only one thing. A Porygon was in the area. I held up a hand to keep the Trainer from pressing the button, because we had already found one. It was somewhere down these twisting passageways.

"Hey Ashe," I said to her. "Listen closely. I think I hear a Porygon in the distance. Now all we have to do is find it."

I looked around a little more, then recalled my Raticate back into its Pokeball. I then called over my Gliscor and instructed him to pay close attention to the cry of the Porygon and where it was coming from. With his bat-like ears, it would be easier to find it. Gliscor sat there for a moment, hovering in the air and soaking up all the sounds. Then, he pin-pointed one. The Porygon. He pointed a claw in one direction and began to fly down the corridor. From the entrance area that we were in, there were three exits. This was the one farthest left. I had no idea where it would lead, but I knew that my Gliscor would keep us safe.

Without a second thought, I motioned for Ashley to follow us and began to walk swiftly down the corridor.

I was about to press the yellow button of the orange machine for attracting Pokemon when I heard a strange and familiar sound. My finger stopped right before the button so that it nearly touched it and I subconsciously look around myself trying to figure out where the noise came from. It was really faint as if it belonged to something far away. I completely forgot about my hand and the button I was about to press since the sound completely captivated me and I was trying to focus all my senses into to so that I would figure out what it was. There was something about that sound I already heard before but the volume of it didn’t really help me to figure it out. It was echoing all over the entrance hall we were at and I felt like I should know it from somewhere. Suddenly, a voice woke me up from my not so unusual daydreaming.

"Hey Ashe," Domonic called at me and when he was sure of my attention, he continued. "Listen closely. I think I hear a Porygon in the distance. Now all we have to do is find it."

My heart jumped when I heard the word "Porygon". Finally, I had a chance to encounter the very Pokemon I came here to catch. I was glad that I didn’t press the button. Then I realised where I heard that sound before. It was the Pokeplayer and the sound was Porygon cry that was supposed to attract it. I wanted to walk down the dark hallway that was seemed as if it was a shortcut into a dark hole but I noticed that Domonic was still standing at the same spot where he was before. Actually, he was doing some planning with his Pokemon. He called his brown rat Pokemon back into its Pokeball with the help of fancy visual effects and then called at his Gliscor. The purple flying type hovered closer to him and faced him with its light yellow eyes. Domonic told it something that made it get a more cheerful look to its face as if it was getting excited or something of that kind. Then it turned around, closed its eyes and it looked as if its ears got a little bit bigger. The Pokemon was hovering that way for a while and then made a loud cry and opened its eyes at the same time. I turned back at his trainer and started pointing at a bunch of hallways quickly, while it was crying loudly. I was trying to make out what it was pointing at but I couldn’t figure out which hallway it was. It seemed like there was something down one of those corridors, probably a Porygon.

Now, I was the one getting excited. Maybe I would finally encounter of those artificial Pokemon that lurked among this power plant. I was the moment I had been waiting for since I entered this place and it was here. After a while it calmed down and pointed straight at the hallway that was the farthest to the left. I knew I had to calm down as well. After all, I still wasn’t sure whether it was really a Porygon or something else making the same sound. This place was full of electric Pokemon that could pretty much make the same sound by any means. Not to mention that there were electric cables everywhere so it could be just something wrong with the circuit.

It didn’t take long for Domonic to wave at me and point at Gliscor, who was already ahead of us waiting next to the entrance of the corridor. When it noticed that we moved, it quickly resumed its course and we followed it.

I dashed down the hallways and corridors, following my Gliscor. Every now and then, I glanced backwards to check that Ashley was still following us. We were chasing the Porygon's sound trail, where it was and what direction it was heading. A few times we even had to backtrack when my Gliscor found a quicker way or we ended up at a dead end. As we traveled deeper into the Power Plant, it grew steadily darker. The lighting was often slightly damaged or burnt out. I was just thinking about how I was going to mention it to the Park Elites when my Gliscor stopped suddenly.

I quickly looked around to check out where we were and what had happened. There was Gliscor, Ashley behind me and a Porygon in front of us. We were in a room. A big-ish room, with electronic equipment all over the place. While that wasn't unusual in the Plant, the equipment here seemed bigger and more important-looking. We were at the heart of the mechanical forest.

I was about to point out the Porygon to Ashley when something strange happened. A figure stepped out of the shadows, behind the Porygon. The man was dressed in all black. Black pants, a black shirt and even a large black hat. There was one noticeable splash of color on his shirt, however; it was a crimson R. R for Rocket. Team Rocket.

"But that's impossible," I nearly spat in disgust. "Team Rocket was disbanded years ago!"

"We always survive," he said confidently. "All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket and this Porygon will help me revive the cause!"

With that, the Porygon began to go ballistic. The Team Rocket grunt must have found the Porygon first and then made it into a battle machine. It began to fire huge blasts of electricity in random directions, damaging the machinery and taking out the lights. I narrowly dodged one, which exploded behind me, and Gliscor dove in front of Ashely, absorbing a shot of powerful electricity. Being part Ground type, Gliscor was fine. I, on the other hand, was a little singed by the explosion. The lights were also taking significant damage. A section in the corner had gone out completely because of the power surges. The others were flickering, illuminating the scene with scattered light.

"Ashely!" I called out. "See if you can battle the Porygon! I'll take the grunt!"

"So the Ranger thinks he can take the eldest of the Rocket Brothers?" The grunt said mockingly. "Go, Arbok! Take out that meddling Ranger. Porygon, deal with the twerp Trainer!"

He then threw a Pokeball into the air, releasing a giant purple snake with a flash of light. It narrowed its eyes and then hissed menacingly. The Porygon let out a mechanical cackle and began to charge up a ball of electricity.

"Come on, Gliscor!" I called. "Prepare a Bulldoze attack to disable the Arbok!"

Then, I turned to Ashley and added: "You'd better hurry."

The noise we heard earlier lead us from our location through a really long maze, from one tunnel to another. I had some trouble keeping up with Domonic because he seemed to be in a much better condition than me and could run much faster. He was a ranger after all so it was obvious he had to be nimble. Dominic’s Gliscor was showing us the right way because to his sensitive ears this noise was like a huge arrow pointing at where it was coming from. I, on the other hand, had a lot of trouble to make sure from which direction the sound was coming. I was as if I got suddenly blind. Following something I didn’t see and I didn’t know where it was only being able to run after something that knew the way.

However, not even Gliscor was completely sure of where we should go. It was probably because it didn’t know these tunnels very well and wasn’t sure whether the way we were going wasn’t dead end. There were a few times when we stopped and Gliscor mimicked to return to previous intersection where we went down a different path or when we came to an end in the tunnel and couldn’t move forward. After all, those tunnels were left abandoned for a long time and no one cared for them so they were quite unstable. It was no wonder that we found many tunnels broken down and impassable. Some of the tunnels had dead ends originally and we ran into a wall but most of them were finished by a mass of building material, probably from upper floors.

Fortunately for us, the noise didn’t stop and kept on repeating as if it was calling us to it. The deeper we got in the maze of tunnels, the louder it got so we knew our trouble weren’t in vain and in the end, we’d find the source of it. But the noise wasn’t the only thing that got stronger the farther we were. There was also the darkness all around us. It was slowly getting more and more difficult to see Domonic and his Pokemon but I did my best to follow them. The lights were all out, broken, burned out or in pieces on the floor. I wasn’t surprised at all since the computers from the main hall looked about the same but I would have greatly appreciated if I could see a bit more than one meter in front of me. But then again, this way it was more of an adventure, even though I wasn’t quite fond of them, I was just trying to focus on positive side of it. Fortunatelly, I called Swampy back into his Pokeball. Although he was slightly faster than me, his stamina was much worse than mine and he wouldn’t be able to run this long without a really long break. After all he wasn’t made for running but for battling.

Soon we came to a halt and the noise stopped. There was a slight light in the room in front of us but I didn’t see much because Dmonic and his Pokemon were right in front of me. I started breathing in and out happy we were finally there completely forgetting about the Porygon we were following. My ranger slowly started turning his head to me when he quickly returned it as it was before.

"But that's impossible!" He shouted as if he met long lost twin that was supposed to be dead. I didn’t really understand what was going on since I was too exhausted to move. Running wasn’t one of my good points. However, I didn’t have to see what he did because soon he made it really obvious.

"Team Rocket was disbanded years ago!" That was what woke me up. I decided to ignore my exhaustion and I moved closer to Domonic. Team Rocket. It’s been zears since someone last heard of them, yet there was a in black clothes man standing right in front of us with a big evil grin on his face and a huge red R on his chest. It was clearly Team Rocket uniform but I had no clue what they would do there. He was standing among several really big machines and computers that were in much better shape then the rest. Electric cables were all over the ground what gave me the feeling that someone set that up not so long ago and was obviously in a hurry.

Suddenly, that man moved and approached us. "We always survive," He started, putting a short pause after it to give it more significance.
"All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket and this Porygon will help me revive the cause!" He continued and moved even closer to us. I still didn’t know what he was doing there but it seemed like he came there for the same reason as me, to catch a Porygon.

Suddenly, the Porygon started raging, crying so loud that my ears started to hurt and i shot multiple beams of lightning all around us. One of them headed for me, I saw a shining orb of light flying in my direction and didn’t know what to do. Fortunately, Gliscor jumped right in front of me protecting me from it. I looked at Dmomnic who was ducking on the ground after he avoided one of the beams, prepared to dodge once again if necessary. In the meanwhile Porygon managed to put out the lights and hit several machines that were around us. The Team Rocket person didn’t look too happy about it.

"Ashely! See if you can battle the Porygon! I'll take the grunt!" My ranger called at me while standing up and calling his Pokemon to his side.

"So the Ranger thinks he can take the eldest of the Rocket Brothers?" The grunt said mockingly. "Go, Arbok! Take out that meddling Ranger. Porygon, deal with the twerp Trainer!" The Grunt didn’t consider me to be much of a challege what was quite good. If I did it right, I could take advantage of him underestimating me. He threw a Pokeball on the ground, and a big purple snake appeared where the red beam hit the ground. Porygon calmed down and looked at me fiercely.

Domonic attacked first, ordering bulldoze to his Pokemon. I quickly reached for Swampy’s Pokeball calling him out for the battle. It finally had a chance to show his power in a fight it was so longing for. But before it could let out everything it had, we needed to keep up looking weak so we could strike the Porygon down when it put its guard down. At first I explained my plan to Swampy to which he unwillingly agreed. Afterwards, he gave the Porygon a loud cry and prepared for attacking. My strategy was simple attacking with weak moves and not dodging most of Porygons attacks. Then watch for an opening and hit it with everything we’d got.

“Use Water Gun and Protect at the same time,” I called and Swampy gave me a puzzled look. “Don’t worry, you’ll create a bubble around yourself and then fill it with water.” This looked more like a plan to him than what I told him before.

At first he used Protect, what created a sphere of light around him, thin but powerful enough not to let any attack in, or, in this case, out. The sparking electricity that was hit by Porygon’s beams created an interesting rainbow effect on the light orb made by Swampert. The water my water type started shooting out of his mouth just made that effect stronger and more visible. The water didn’t have where to leave so soon Swapert was completely covered in it. He didn’t have any trouble breathing underwater so I didn’t have a reason to be worried about him. The only thing I was worried about was the end of the move.

“Now, hit Porygon with the ball!” I wasn’t really sure in my Pokemon heard the last command but I was certain he knew what he was supposed to do, after all, what else there was he could do in a ball of water but hitting his oponent?

Swampert ran at Porygon, making the ball shine in the sparks. The thing I was worried about was the mashines. Swampert wouldn’t be able to change his direction fast and it was possible that if Porygon dodged the move, Swampert would crash into the computer behind it and since electricity doesn’t really like water, it could blow up. I hoped Swampy wouldn’t get hurt too much if that happened; after all, he was made to be able to survive strong hits.

((I don't think I have to ask you what Gender you want a Genderless Pokemon to be, but... I'll just keep this going. XD))

“Use Water Gun and Protect at the same time,” Ashley called to her Swampert. “Don’t worry, you’ll create a bubble around yourself and then fill it with water.”

While Swampert seemed unsure that such a tactic that wouldn't cause direct contact with the foe, merely an armed shield, Ashe's Pokemon trusted his trainer that it would work. So, as my Gliscor lunged at the Arbok with an intense rage, Swampert created a water-filled force field and moved slowly towards the opposing cyber Pokemon.

Meanwhile, the Porygon was calculating attack angles, trajectories and preparing strategies with backup plans. You could almost see the binary data codes streaming past the inside of the creature's black eyes. It hadn't even moved an inch until the Swampert had advanced halfway across the room. It noticed the violent attitude that my Gliscor was displaying as the FlyScorp Pokemon prepared the Bulldoze attack and began to manipulate the electromagnetic energy that was being released by the surrounding computers, propelling itself up and into the air on the currents. Then, the Porygon seemed to spaz out, lunging towards the Swampert, who was still encased in the bubble. The cyber Pokemon's head then shot out a little farther than its head, creating a spear-like full-body Tackle attack. It was simple and weak, but effective enough to test the waters. Quite literally.

As the two Pokemon made contact, there was a sort of watery explosion. Water went everywhere, dealing damage to both Pokemon (Luckily the Swampert's Protect shielded it from most damage), as well as showering the battling Pokemon and their trainers. Suddenly, there was a screech from my Gliscor as the water came into contact with it, snapping my attention to the other engagement.

The other battle was intense as well. Gliscor had grabbed the writhing poisonous snake Pokemon in its claws and slammed it into the tiled floor, exposing a small amount of dirt. Then, my trusted partner began to plow deep furrows into the ground with the foe's Arbok. However, the Arbok was ready. The bond it shared with its trainer was impressive, although strained. The Arbok, instead of waiting for commands, took initiative and bit down into Gliscor's shoulder with its venomous fangs. Gliscor winced, but didn't stop the attack maneuver until it slammed the purple snake into the wall with a loud crash. This section of the Power Plant was heavily reinforced to prevent radiation leakage while it was under operation, so there was no structural damage to the building. However, the Arbok was heavily damaged and seemed extremely worn out. Gliscor also didn't look too well. The Poison Fang attack that the Arbok had dished out must have left Gliscor with a lingering poison. As the dust and water settled, all the battling Pokemon flapped, walked, slithered and floated back to their starting positions, ready to leap back into the fray.

Swampert’s Protect bubble was filling with water as I watched Porygon prepare its strategies. Surely, this Pokemon wasn’t anything ordinary and I was looking for battling with it in the future but for now, I had to make sure that I’d catch it. Its eyes were spinning all around its eyeholes in different directions, what made it look like it had gone mad. It seemed to be completely carried away by his plans because it was frozen in one place even though Swampert was halfway to meet with it directly. Porygon’s body started spinning and randomly changing directions while its head stayed on one place. I noticed that his eyes slightly changed too, it looked as if there was something quickly passing its pupils from bottom to top but I wasn’t sure what it was. Then it turned its head to Gliscor, who was preparing for an attack of its own, Bulldoze, and froze for a second. I looked as if it was analyzing the outcome of what was the purple Pokemon performing and found it dangerous because it summoned all electromagnetic energy from the computers around us and rose on it into the air, still watching Gliscor.

My water type crossed quite a distance in the meantime, even though it’s rather slow. The bubble was still holding together so I was glad that it lasted the power of the Water Gun. Porygon noticed that Swampert didn’t make a pause to focus on something else and decided to continue with their battle. It shot out its head and at first it looked like it would just hit my water type with it but then the head stopped and returned a little. Then it turned as if it looked directly at Swampert, so that the beck of it was facing its body where the neck was before. Its head and body were joined by something that looked like a very long neck. Then its body transformed too. For a while I felt as if I was with my friends in cinema watching Ditto Transformers instead of being in a battle. Porygon’s legs came into its body and its tail straightened, creating something that looked like a spear of some kind.

I looked at the other battle going on right next to us. Gliscor still haven’t attacked but it was flying near the ceiling as if it looked for something. Arbok was prepared as well, and when Gliscor made any sudden move that looked as if we wanted to fly down, Arbok rose, opened its mouth to show its dangerous looking fangs and hissed. When it proved like a false alarm, the snake Pokemon returned to its previous position, following Gliscor with its body.

My sight returned to my Pokemon and its opponent just when they ran into one another. Porygon probably shot its body at Swampert in the meantime because the impact didn’t look one sided to me. What followed made everything stop for a few seconds. A huge wave of water flew everywhere and made me unable to tell the outcome of the hit. I protected myself from it with my hand but, surprisingly, it didn’t help much. But I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t too happy about our sudden bath. Gliscor gave out a cry that made me wonder what was worse. However, I knew that something like that would happen so I wasn’t surprised by it.

Although it looked that Gliscor was the least of us all pleased by the shower, it managed to get the best of the situation perfectly. It grabbed he snake Pokemon, brought it up to the ceiling and the fell on the ground with it, pushing it in front of itself after the impact. It collected quite a lot of floor with its friend who wasn’t very happy about the situation and slammed it into opposing wall. However, the other Pokemon didn’t want to go down without a fight and after it hit the ground, it bit Gliscor into its shoulder, making Gliscor cry in pain. When everything calmed down, all Pokemon returned to their previous position. The two poison types were obviously tired by their battle.

On the other hand Swampert and I were just preparing for another attack. This attack didn’t do much but so far Porygon hardly started believing we were no real deal so we decided to go for something else. I wanted to make it believable so I wanted to make it as creative as possible. My water type looked to be in a very good shape so I didn’t have to hurry with anything.

I looked around the battlefield and noticed that not only there was a lot of water, Gliscor’s attack threw a lot of dust into the surroundings too and together they created mud. Since Swampert uses mud for many of its attacks, this was like a hint for my next strategy. But for this I needed to make sure that Porygon wouldn’t notice it until it was too late. I called my Swampert closer to me and told him my plan. My water type had Sludge, a move that can poison the target what could get useful later on. Since it has nearly the same colour as mud, it wouldn’t be so easy to detect.

“Alright, Swampy!” I shouted even though the cute nickname made it sound very lame, what my Swampert let me know with its meaningful deadly stare, “Prepare to launch another attack!”

Swampert collected some of the mud that was thrown all around him and created a mud ball. It must have looked very funny to Porygon that it was playing with mud in such a crucial moment and not to mention planning to attack with it. Then Swampert ate that ball and quickly made another one. At the same time, he prepared its sacks with poison in its mouth to fire. His cheeks became bigger as if he ate too much but actually he was hiding poisonous Sludge inside of the mud balls he ate. His mouth was still getting bigger and also slightly transparent. Veins showed up all over it, hinting he was at his limit. When he was ready, and looked like he would blow up any second, he started shooting the mud balls. They were smaller than those he ate before and they left a trail of mud on the floor after them. He would probably spit out about 5 or 6 of them, hopefully at least one hitting Porygon. It was quite difficult for him to focus on aiming and creating those balls but as his mouth was getting smaller, and he had less shots, it was easier for him.

Mud Shot combined with Sludge could be a great help in this battle. I was certain I’d try to create and abuse more mud since there were many possibilities of using it to our advantage.

Ashley looked around the room, trying to find a source for an attack. She didn't seemed concerned with the Porygon, as the last bout hadn't dealt much damage to either side. She noted the change in the terrain caused by Gliscor's violent Bulldoze attack then, realizing that the water shower from her Swampert's bubbly Protect had mixed the dirt into mud, a thought hit her. After calling her Swampert over to explain her new strategy, she ordered the next move.

“Alright, Swampy!” she shouted, procuring a venomous glare from her Swampert. He obviously despised the nickname. “Prepare to launch another attack!”

Swampert began to gather some of the newly created mud and packed it into small balls. Then, it stuffed them inside its mouth, a seemingly pointless and time consuming activity. The Porygon seemed puzzled by the foe's actions as well. Instead of attacking, the Porygon sat there for a little bit. Then, suddenly, its mechanical skin began to bubble as it started to transform. It was using Conversion! Having just been hit by a water-type attack, it began bubbling almost to the point of boiling. Then, its body became cloaked in steam. When the steam cleared, it revealed an aqueous version of a Porygon, still floating in the air due to the Magnet Rise.

Undaunted by the strange display of defensive tactics, Swampert continued shoving balls of mud into its mouth. After about six, its mouth began to bulge and it spat them out at the Porygon. It looked like a regular Mud Shot attack, but there was something different. When a few of the mud balls came into contact with the now-Water type Pokemon, there was a small spray of poisonous sludge that sent a small amount of particles into the air behind it. While more than half of the attack had hit, the Porygon seemed completely ignorant of whatever the foe was doing, even when it started glowing with a purple light. The Porygon had been damaged, but even after the attack was finished the Pokemon was still taking damage from the Sludge. It had been poisoned!

While the Porygon had been damaged and inflicted with Poison, it was far from out of the game. Quickly, the cyber duck was suddenly surrounded with a strange, purple energy. The energy then spread around the room, picking up loose pieces of tile, other debris and even the occasional computer monitor. Then, its aqueous body split into many pieces like it did before launching the Tackle attack, extending the control over itself to the objects by way of the Psychic energy. Controlling one piece of major debris with each of its body parts, it began an attempt at bashing Swampert silly. While the Porygon looked hilarious, spazzing out with its various semi-detached robo-limbs, but the Swampert wasn't laughing. The various pieces of machinery slammed against the Water/Ground type repeatedly before the glowing purple Psychic energy died down, letting the debris fall to the floor.

Meanwhile, Gliscor and Arbok had finished their standoff. Gliscor, unwilling to be bested by Team Rocket's best Pokemon, charged at the Arbok with a Quick Attack, then slammed it into a machine with a powerful version of a Brick Break attack. Gliscor flew away, still affected by poison, but the large snake Pokemon didn't get up and slither away like it did last time. Instead, the eldest of the Rocket Brothers recalled the fainted Pokemon.

"You may think you've done well by taking out my Arbok," he taunted. "I haven't even gotten started yet! Go, Weezing!"

He threw down a Pokeball and a large, purple Pokemon with two heads appeared in a shower of sparks. The Weezing then began to float lazily in the air, expelling large amounts of noxious gas. I then turned to Ashley, a look of worry in my eyes.

"Hey Ashe," I asked. "Could you get this going a little faster? While its going well now, the battle is just beginning. Be careful."
