It had been a while since I took anyone through the park; I was so caught up in paperwork and gym work that I simply didn't have the time.

"Hey, here's a run, get out there." The secretary tossed a file on my desk. I picked up the file; it seemed the Trainer wanted to go into the Power Plant. I got up, grabbed my pack and my Pokémon and left. This was going to be a great distraction from the paperwork.

I released my Gardevoir right outside the main outpost, and one flash of light later, we were right by the Power Plant's outpost. It was certainly far better than walking. I thanked my Gardevoir for the teleportation and stood by the entrance to the outpost. The Trainer wanted this done quick, so I figured it was best to wait at the location. Once Eric was here and ready, we could set out, and he could find whatever it was he wanted, hopefully.

"Well, I'm bored, guess I'll head back to the park, and see if I can catch something decent to kill time," I said to myself at random, for no particular reason. I was scheduled to be going on a team run with Akinai at Meteor Valley sometime in the near future, but currently she was busy over at Mount Oktori, and I really didn't feel like sitting around doing nothing while I waited. I figured the best way to kill time would be to head to the Power Plant, and see if I can capture a Porygon. Don't know what I'd do with it though. Could trade it, or could have a Porygon2, since I already have a Porygon-Z. This of course was provided that I even ran into one, but with a Poison-type Repellent, as well as a Porygon Voice Disk it was possible.

I just started walking along my way to the ranger outpost with nothing of particular interest happening along the way. Yup it was just a boring Monday, and a boring walk. So boring that I ended up at the Ranger Outpost before I knew it. "Hello. I assume you're my ranger. I'm Eric, as I'm sure you know," I said, as I reached into my backpack to pull out two items. First up was my Poison-type Repellent which I sprayed instantly, so that I wouldn't have any pesky, and unwanted Poison-type Pokemon coming my way, and slowing me down. Next was my PokePlayer, along with my Porygon Voice Disk, which I put right in the player, and hit play so that it'd be running when we got into the Plant. "Well, I've taken care of what I needed to. I'm ready to go whenever you are," I said, looking at my ranger, and his Gardevoir.

Eric introduced himself, assuming I was his Ranger. As I introduced myself, he sprayed his Poison Repellant and started up his Porygon Voice Disk, and we were off. The path to the plant itself was short, and the trip was uneventful, with only the digital sounds of the emulated Porygon in the voice disk. Once inside, other than the shine of the sunlight from the door on the metal floor there was little light. It slightly worried me; most of the time there were electric Pokémon discharging their energies into the light fixtures, and if most of those were away, something had to be here.

"Be on your guard." As I warned Eric, another cry came out from his Poképlayer, and a flash of light came from a lone monitor on attached to the far wall. A green grid formed over the screen, and out shot a blue-and-pink… rounded duck figure. It looked at Eric, trying to focus on the source of the noise. This Porygon2 seemed to be interested in whatever was sounding like its previous evolution. If Eric wanted a Porygon, I figured he may want a Porygon2 instead, though perhaps he may want to focus on finding the pre-evolution instead.

"Want to go for this guy?" I was witness to a battle with a Porygon2 prior in the Power Plant, but this room was bare compared to the monitor-and-wire-filled room the prior battle was in. If Eric battled, I was interested in seeing whatever strategies Porygon2 would use.

We entered the Plant, and right away something came our way. It was like what I wanted, but it wasn't actually what I wanted myself. It was basically one of those drinking birds. You know those things that you put over a glass of water, and watch them go up and down in it. That reason alone almost made me want this. Almost. "Want to go for this guy?" I was asked.

"Ha, no thanks. I came here to kill a little time, but a Porygon2 is both time draining, as well as energy draining. If I went for it I'd burn myself out. I will, however, snap a picture of this thing for some money. Never hurts to have extra money," I said, as I reached into my backpack and pulled out my camera. Sure Porygon2 was nice, but I wanted a Porygon, because I didn't want to spend too much time here battling. With that in mind I played my Porygon Voice Disk again, and snapped a picture of this Porygon2.

Eric didn't want to battle Porygon2; it seemed he was more interested in the speed of the capture than the Pokémon itself, so he preferred Porygon. I couldn't blame him, as I'd go for Porygon myself so I wouldn't have to deal with the increased strength from whatever Up-Grade it found itself.

Eric pulled out a camera and shot a picture of the rounded program Pokémon. The flash distorted the program's optical receptors, and it ran away in a grid similar to the one it appeared in. Couldn't really blame it; camera flashes made it hard to see, and if it did want to battle, it wouldn't be while it's blind.

Digital voices played once more from Eric's voice disk, and we started forth looking for that Porygon. Before we even left the room, however, a gust of wind and a cracking boom burst from the open front doors. A large, blue being surrounded by clouds began to circle us, eminating gusts of wind and small bursts of electricity. It didn't seem hostile, thankfully, but it seemed it was evaluating us. It wouldn't be farfetched to assume this was the Legend's territory.

"Thundurus. A Pokémon known to create intense thunderstorms. This one must have made its home here."

The camera scared off the drinking bird, as it should since it kind of releases a blinding light. And I once again continued playing my Porygon Voice Disk, but before we could even get out of this area, and into the next spot another Pokemon decided it was time to make its presence known, by letting out a gust of wind, and creating a miniature thunderstorm. It didn't matter to me though, because this was not only something I was looking for, but it was something I couldn't even battle in the first place.

"Thundurus. A Pokémon known to create intense thunderstorms. This one must have made its home here." That seemed plausible to me, but whether this was its home or not, it was still perfectly good picture money I could snag. I hadn't put my camera away yet, so I just picked it up, and went snapped a picture of Thundurus. Once that was done, I once again hit play on my PokePlayer, thinking that maybe this time it'd work. I still had three tries left so who knew.

Eric took out his camera, and Thundurus did something I didn't expect. It posed. Thundurus flexed its muscles for a good picture, and once the flash hit it ran off.

I didn't even know it knew what a camera was.

"You're just plowing through these encounters." The Porygon disc played once more, and the best way to find something would be to keep moving; we can't always expect something to come across us like Thundurus did. There was only one exit to the room we were in, barring the Plant entrance, so I directed Eric there.

In the new room, a Magnemite and Manectric were discharging electricity into each other. It seemed to be a form of play-fighting, as neither seemed particularly hurt or recharged from it. Upon catching site of us, the Magnemite ran away. Manectric turned around to face us; upon seeing Eric, it sniffed in his direction and let out a howl.

"This guy seems to want to battle." The Manectric growled a bit more towards Eric. I couldn't really be sure if it was just that aggressive, or if it just had pent up energy it needed to release, but either way it was ready to fight.

"You're just plowing through these encounters." It was true, I'd quickly raced passed these first two encounters, snapping their pictures. Though that was only because I had no interest in facing one of them, and I couldn't battle or capture the other one. So I just did what I could, and moved on. Still though I was hopeful that things would get better, otherwise I'd need to leave and reenter.

We walked into the next room where a Magnemite and Manectric were hanging around. "This guy seems to want to battle." Manectric growled at me, and that was great, but I wasn't interested in it. "Let's just try to move on, because I'm not in the mood to battle this. If we can't though I have a lot of Pokedolls so I don't mind using one," I said, as I once again hit play on my PokePlayer, and waited to move along the way.

We took no hesitation in trying to get past, but Manectric blocked the path. Eric tossed one of his many Pokédolls at the Electric-type to keep it occupied; Manectric caught it in mid-air and ripped it to shreds, then happily bounded off. Manectric ran off to a dark room, but I figured Porygon would be better found where electrical equipment was working, so I directed Eric to an open door with lights on inside instead.

Inside, it seemed that this was a computer lab of some sort; long tables with older desktop systems formed several rows throughout the room, and if there were a Porygon in this area of the plant, this would certainly be where it was.

Several sparks emanated from a nearby row. I duck down to be able to see under the desks, but sadly no Porygon was to be found; instead, a squirrel-like Pachirisu was gnawing on the wires. Once it noticed that I saw it, it ran out from under the desks and stood on one of the computer monitors, eying both me and Eric.

Eric seemed focused, so I doubted he wanted a Pachirisu, but I had to ask. "What about this guy?"

We tried to get around Manectric, but it wouldn't let us pass it by, so I needed to spend a Pokedoll on it. It was a little annoying, but it was the nature of the park. I couldn't help it if Pokemon didn't want me to leave. I was lead into a computer lab room. I guess because it was possibly more likely that we could come across a Porygon in here. I did end up seeing something, but it wasn't a Porygon. It was just a let down.

"What about this guy?" I couldn't help but think, what the hell is this thing? It was this little rodent thing that was standing there chewing on some wires. I didn't want this thing at all. "No thanks, I wanna pass on this whether I get passed it, or throw a doll in its face. Also lets see if my disk works, or if I'm just going home," I said as I got a doll ready just in case, and hit play for the last time.

Pachirisu saw Eric grab something from his pack and ran off. Looked like it was too scared to stay around, and Eric didn't have to worry about using up a doll. He played his Voice Disk one last time, and a scratching noise came from a far computer. As I went to investigate, a small yellow triangle with a black tip rose above the monitor.

    "Pichu!"

It seemed the voice disc caught the attention of the small electric mouse. It wasn't what Eric was looking for, but it wouldn't take too much effort to catch if he wanted one.

    "Up for this one?"

OOC: You got a Red Apricorn with your third encounter I forgot to roll for way back when.

Eric seemed to be pretty well done now that his Voice Disk wasn't going to attract anything. I escorted him out, and would've helped him with his claims had it not been just a couple of pictures he could sell.
