    Ranger Makina Auran

    *~~~~~~~~~*

The year was coming to an end, and the current weather outside was trying its best to prove this fact. All across the island, temperatures were beginning to drop as winter threatened to set in. Flurries were becoming increasingly more active in the already snowy Mount Oktori, and a few of the more shallow ponds were already beginning to freeze over at the Lakes. Even Mount Deckbi, volcanic region that it was, had its heat-loving locals retreating to the caves and open lava flows.

The Gardens was no exception to this rule, as Makina quickly discovered. Due to being low on funds and an understaffed workforce, the Ranger had decided to work overtime and take a Trainer through on one of her off days. Problem was, it was absolutely freezing. Not wanting to wait outside in the cold, she had taken refuge at the local Outpost and was now watching the weather on the small television set located inside.

...and if you look over here, it will be in the low 40s today and drop down to 20 in the evening, so bundle up!” the weatherman on TV said, standing next to the map in his pinstriped suit. “Tomorrow there will be a 40% chance of snow, so anyone who wants to visit the Park may want to schedule for another day-”

And this is what I get for taking a Run without checking the weather first,” Makina grumbled to herself, looking to her PDA for what felt like the thousandth time. Her Trainer was Roark, and he looked to be visiting the Park for the first time. His team looked fairly solid for a newcomer though, along with interesting item choices- a Kangaskhan Disc and a Grass Repellent. Granted, all the Grass Pokemon would likely be hibernating by now...

Just let him be better than my last new Trainer, please, the Ranger mused, staring out a nearby window for any sign of Roark. The last newcomer she had taken through, she had to leave due to a family emergency and had returned to face an angry Trainer and a Ranger who looked ready to deck the young man. She was still dealing with the paperwork from that Run, and didn't desire any more. Still, all she could do was wait and see.

    OCC: Thanks again! :) @Akinai
    -----------------------------------------

The wind blew fiercely against Roark, a young trainer on his way to the National Park for the first time, folded his arms as chills went up and down his back. The hairs on his arms were standing straight up, causing him to rub his arms for warm as they were turning blue. Roark would occasionally look down and see Espeon and Umbreon walk along side him, doing their best to find the wind as well. He noticed that they were shaking from the cold weather and all three could tell that the temperature was still dropping.

"C'mon you two! We've been through worse. Remember our time in Northern Alaska? Remember the blizzard we had to endure? This is nothing. We're almost there; just gotta find through it."

As the three of them continued their way they finally found the National Park Outpost. Though from a distance they could see someone was waiting inside. The Sun had started to set on them and the temperature was getting worse. With happy looks on their faces, Espeon and Umbreon started to sprint for the Outpost. Shocked and a little bit disappointed in their actions, Roark had no choice but to sprint with them. He knew the cold was a bit much, especially for as long as they had been walking so he decided to let it slide. After all, he's not a heartless trainer, just very strict when it comes to obedience.

As they reached the front door, Roark began to knock heavily. "Hello?! Anyone home?! It's a little nippy out here!" The door opens up and the three rush inside. Roark huddles up with his Pokemon to get them warm quickly. He could careless about himself but the temperature had gotten worse than he had hoped and needed to tend to the care of his Pokemon. After a while, Roark looks up and see his Ranger.

"I'm Roark and you must be the Ranger that drew the short straw for my run."

    Ranger Makina Auran

    *~~~~~~~~~*

It didn't take long until there was a sudden knocking on the Outpost door, followed shortly by a voice, “Hello?! Anyone home?! It's a little nippy out here!”

Both Makina and the secretary at the desk exchanged glances before looking over at the entrance, the latter standing up. “He does know the door is open to the public, correct?” the man remarked, opening the door to let the Trainer in. A split second later, there was a scramble as two Pokemon and a human tried to enter the warm building.

An Espeon and an Umbreon...yep, that's him all right. After storing away her PDA in the small case she always kept strapped to her belt, Makina got up to greet the Trainer. As she approached closer, the Ranger noticed that the three were huddling together to keep warm- they obviously had a strong bond, which was unsurprising considering Espeon and Umbreon's evolutionary requirement. Still, it was good to see both Pokemon and Trainer displaying such teamwork early on.

Finally, the young man looked up and noticed Makina. “I'm Roark, and you must be the Ranger that drew the short straw for my run.”

Actually, I volunteered,” the Ranger admitted, offering Roark a hand up. The pair likely weren't looking forward to heading back in the cold (nor was she, for that matter,) but it couldn't be helped. At least this wasn't Oktori, so snow would be minimal if not impossible to run into yet. “My name is Makina, and I'll be taking you through the Gardens today.”

Once all pleasantries were out of the way, Makina headed over to the coat rack near the door, grabbing one for herself and offering another to Roark. “While it hasn't reached freezing temperatures yet, you might still want one of these. Both you and your Pokemon looked cold, so you may want to recall them and grab one of these. If you have any Repellents, adding it now would be best. Once you're ready, I can lead you towards the Gardens gate.”

“Actually, I volunteered,” the Ranger admitted, offering Roark a hand up. It took Roark a second to process the Rangers actions. "Actually, I volunteered", those words kept repeating in his mind. Roark stands up and finishes rubbing his arms with a smug look on his face. No one just volunteers, especially during this weather he thought to himself as he made his way to the restroom to rub hot water on his face. Roark re-enters the room and looks over a map of the area, trying to find the best spot to go. Behind him the ranger had grabbed a couple of coats.

“While it hasn't reached freezing temperatures yet, you might still want one of these. Both you and your Pokemon looked cold, so you may want to recall them and grab one of these," stated Makina as she reached out her arm with a coat in hand. Not wanting her pleasantries, but not wanting to be freezing either, Roark ungratefully accepts the coat.

I can't risk Espeon and Umbreon getting hurt because of the weather. Unfortunately, they have to be returned this time...Roark reaches from his belt two Pokeballs and returns his Pokemon. "Thanks for the coat, I guess. I studied the map and I think it would be best to head towards the center of the garden. There I suspect we'll run into the Pokemon I've been looking for."

After Roark puts on the jacket he sprays himself down with the Grass Type Repellent then kneels down to pull something from his bag. A Pokeplayer was brought out. Searching around his bag, Roark finally pulls out a disc and puts it in the player. "I don't intend on starting this until we're closer to the center. Try and get me there as quick as you can. That is part of your job right? A speedy run?" He smirks and starts heading for the door. "Let's get going"

    Ranger Makina Auran

    *~~~~~~~~~*

Roark glared over at the spare coat, looking at the object as if it had somehow wronged him. After a small amount of deliberation, the Trainer finally snagged the coat from the Ranger's grasp. “Thanks for the coat, I guess.”

As Roark proceeded to recall his team, then gravitate over to the large map of the Gardens that was tacked on the wall, Makina went to gather her own gear. She shrugged off the Trainer's odd behavior for the moment; some people had trouble accepting help from anyone, so he might have been caught off-guard.

Once everyone was ready, Roark fished out a small green bottle- a Grass Repellent. “I studied the map and I think it would be best to head towards the center of the garden. There I suspect we'll run into the Pokemon I've been looking for,” he stated, applying the spray to his clothes. The aroma of fresh-cut grass emanated from the Repellent, a smell that Grass Pokemon apparently feared.

You could find what you're looking for the deeper you go in, true,” Makina said carefully. “Granted you'll likely find a little bit of everything living in the center as well. Plus the stronger Pokemon can be found the further you go from the outpost, so the more we go in the harder it will likely get.”

I don't intend on starting this until we're closer to the center. Try and get me there as quick as you can,” Roark said, not seeming to listen to the Ranger's words. In his hands was a Pokeplayer, and the young man was currently inserting a disc with the picture of a Kangaskhan taped to it. “That is part of your job right? A speedy run? Let's get going,” he stated with a smirk.

Not really, we just try to make sure everyone enjoys their visit, Makina silently remarked, but answered the Trainer's statement with a shrug. Sooner we're done, the sooner we're out of the cold. “You're free to use the Player whenever, and I'll do my best to find the safest way to the center... note that when I say safest, I don't mean quickest. We're not walking through a herd of Miltank just because it will cut down on time.” With that out of the way, the two headed out the door and towards the gate.

Opening the gate to the Gardens was simple enough. Unlike the more advanced entrances, the path leading into the leafy abode was blocked by a simple wooden gate. All it took was for Makina to find the correct key, and in no time at all they were inside.

Like the name implied, the Garden was home to a large amount of flora. Unlike the Woods, however, this area was filled with flowers, shrubbery, and only the occasional tree. Due to the cold, most of the flowers had wilted, leaving the area a dismal sight. A few were managing to endure the weather, and the sheer color from these select few stuck out in the otherwise brown environment.

They had only been walking a few minutes on the main path when the first of locals finally showed themselves. A small chinchilla-like creature stepped out on the dirt trail, grabbing the large tufts of fur attached to its back to keep warm. Its large black eyes focused on Roark, looking up at the Trainer as if studying him.

Not a bad way to start things out,” Makina said, looking over at the Normal-type. “That Cinccino looks interested in you.”

As Roark and Makina headed out the Outpost door, Roark was prepared for the worst the weather would throw at him. As the door opened, wind has blow hard and straight past him. God, I hope this doesn't take long. If this weather keeps up I'll be a human pop sickle, Roark had thought as they reached the main gate to the Garden. When Makina finally finds the correct key, she opens the gate and off they go into the Garden.

The Garden lives up with it's name with lots of flowers, shrubs and even a fair amount of trees. However, due to the time of year, the weather has started it's yearly cycle and a good bit of the Garden was dying for the winter. To Roark it seemed like he picked the worse time of the year to go on his little hunt because it seemed like the Garden had become empty and lifeless with no sight of any Pokemon. It wasn't long after their journey through the Garden began that Roark was mistaken when a small fury creature crossed his path. A small Cinnico had joined them on the trail. It seemed to be freezing and trying to find shelter to escape the cold by the way it was trying to pull the fur over it's head. Roark stopped and examined the small Pokemon just as Cinnico had stopped to stupid him.

"Humph. Why don't you just run along little one. You're not the one I'm looking for. Plus, if you stay out here you'll freeze to death. Go find shelter." Roark had turned away from the Pokemon and continued to walk. Trying to beat the chilling breeze, Roark tries to walk faster. Almost trying to out speed and stay ahead of the now forgotten Cinnico and Makina, his Ranger.

Roark looked down at the shivering Pokemon, clearly not impressed. “Why don't you just run along little one, You're not the one I'm looking for,” he said, moving to walk past the creature. “Plus, if you stay out here you'll freeze to death. Go find shelter.”

Seeing that Roark was aiming to walk faster and leave everyone behind, the Ranger quickly moved to step ahead of the Trainer. Cinccino, seeing the two humans were in a hurry, darted away and moved off the path. Managing to block Roark's path with an outstretched arm, she called out a warning, “Wait for the Ranger! There are Pokemon living here that don't take kindly to people walking about on their own, so they'll either run away or try to defend their home if they see anyone they don't recognize.” Realizing that Roark was likely getting annoyed, she added, “This is mostly done for your own safety. I'll try to keep a quick pace, but don't try running off on your own again.”

From close by, a creature rose up from the dying grass to look over at the two humans. After balancing for a moment on its tail, the brown-furred Pokemon got down on all fours and scurried over to them. Once it had reached them, it rose up on it raccoon-striped tail once more.

Course, we're also going to probably wake up all the locals by blindly trudging ahead,” Makina said, nodding over to the Pokemon. “That Sentret is likely confused.”

Roark stopped dead in his tracks as Makina had reached out to stop him from darting off on his own. “Wait for the Ranger! There are Pokemon living here that don't take kindly to people walking about on their own, so they'll either run away or try to defend their home if they see anyone they don't recognize. This is mostly done for your own safety. I'll try to keep a quick pace, but don't try running off on your own again.” Though it was a warning for his safety, Roark became annoyed and frustrated at the fact that his own ability as a Trainer had been questioned and it didn't set well with him one bit. This girl has got to be kidding. I don't even need her here. She's just slowing me down... . "Fine. We'll do it your way. Just try to keep up if you don't mind."

Roark focuses on the noise of grass rustling. Looks around and noticed a Sentret perked up on its tail then makes its way over the to pair. Roark begins to get frustrated. It's only the second encounter he's had but it seems to be ridiculous that the only thing showing up are weak and worthless Pokemon. "You've got to be kidding me. Scat! You're not the Pokemon I'm looking for. Go get shelter and stay warm and stay out of my way." Roark turns away and starts to walk "C'mon. Let's keep moving. I guess I need to start the Player if I ever plan on finding what I want before my encounters run out. I at least need to find it first before I try to capture anything."

Roark slows his pace a bit so he can focus on what he's doing. He opens his bad and pulls out the player and starts to set the volume on it. Roark stops to look back to ensure that Makina was still with him and to see if the Sentret had in fact left his sight.

I swear, if that Sentret hasn't left...I might just have to make an example out of it. Maybe battling it will cause the weaker Pokemon to stay clear.

Roark searches around to ensure the Sentret had left...

    *~~~~~~~~~*

While Roark did stop, the look he tossed Makina was absolutely livid. “Fine. We'll do it your way. Just try to keep up if you don't mind.” Before he could move forward once more though, he finally noticed the Sentret in the path glancing their way. “You've got to be kidding me. Scat! You're not the Pokemon I'm looking for. Go get shelter, stay warm and stay out of my way.”

Yes, scare away a Pokemon by yelling at it, I'm sure that will work. Makina watched Roark's response to the curious Pokemon, shaking her head at the Trainer's actions. Her words didn't seem to do anything but anger him as well- while it was tempting to just let the young man run off and get in trouble, if he ended up getting hurt... well, in the very least it would mean a crudload of paperwork.

C'mon. Let's keep moving. I guess I need to start the Player if I ever plan on finding what I want before my encounters run out,” Roark said, pulling out the device and a small disc. “I at least need to find it first before I try to capture anything.”

We're still a ways away from the center, if you were wondering,” Makina remarked. Most Trainers used their Discs right at the start, that was unsurprising. As for encounters running out, they had literally just entered- there was still plenty of time.

Unfortunately, Sentret had not been scared away from Roark's outburst. Instead, its previous curious expression had transformed into irritation. Seeing that it was being effectively ignored, the small Normal-type made its way over to the Trainer and began chattering nonstop. Judging from the way its fur was standing on end (making it look like a giant furball,) the Pokemon was giving the Trainer an earful.

Pokemon don't care for people yelling at them to leave, you know,” Makina said. “Especially when they're technically trespassing. We can either try to calm it down, or you can buy a Pokedoll from me for $500 to distract it.”

“Pokemon don't care for people yelling at them to leave, you know,” Makina said. “Especially when they're technically trespassing. We can either try to calm it down, or you can buy a Pokedoll from me for $500 to distract it.”

Roark had started to focus on the little Pokemon that began to give him a piece of his mind. Roark turned off the Pokeplayer and knelt down to the furious Pokemon and took a deep breathe. He knew he shouldn't have yelled at the Pokemon and became aware that there was still plenty of time before the run would end but the horrid weather has made him cranky and wants to get done as quick as possible. Roark takes a deep breath and pears in the the Pokemon frustrated eyes. With a hand he reaches out and strokes the wild Sentret.

"I have no reason to battle with you. As cute as you are, I have no desire to catch you." Roark stands up and faces Makina "Here's $500 from the $7,750 that I have for a Pokedoll." Roark kneels back to the Sentret and presents it with a Pokedoll. "Here you go my little friend. Take this and go find a place to warm up."

Roark turns to Makina and stares for a moment in silence. He looks at his Pokeplayer then at the path they are currently walking.

"You're right. We aren't close to the center like I want. There's no reason to play it yet and there's plenty of time. Let's keep moving....please" As the word "please" passes through Roarks lips, a chill runs up his spine. Niceness isn't like me. But I guess I have to be if I plan on ever being allowed back to the park.

    Ranger Makina Auran

    *~~~~~~~~~*

For a moment, it didn't look as if Roark was listening to Makina. After a moment of silence though, the Trainer turned off his Pokeplayer and knelt down to the ground, facing the wild Sentret eye-to-eye. He took a deep breath, and held out a hand to pet the distressed Pokemon.

Wait--” Makina began, seeing the Trainer's action. It generally wasn't a good idea to pet a wild Pokemon, doubly so if it was already angered or upset. Some of them usually took the sudden contact as a sign of aggression, and struck back violently. Fortunately for Roark though, the Sentret merely jerked back as soon as the Trainer's fingers grazed its fur.

I have no reason to battle with you. As cute as you are, I have no desire to catch you,” Roark said, then looked over at his Ranger, fishing out a clip of money. “Here's $500 that I have for a Pokedoll.”

Silently, Makina accepted the money, surprised by both Roark and Sentret's actions. After searching about in her pack for a moment, she handed a Pokedoll in the likeness of a Clefairy to the Trainer.

Here you go, my little friend. Take this and go find a place to warm up.” Roark showed the plush toy to the small Normal-type. Sentret sniffed the Doll in confusion, then quickly latched onto it in a bear hug. Seeing that the Pokemon was successfully distracted, he stood up and looked about, deep in thought about something. Finally, he looked over at Makina. “ You're right. We aren't close to the center like I want. There's no reason to play it yet and there's plenty of time. Let's keep moving... please,” Roark said, giving a visible shudder upon saying the last word.

Makina nodded in response, giving a polite smile back. “Let's keep going on, then. I promise, you'll still have plenty of time to look about once we reach the center.”

Their walk down the path was fairly uneventful. Either all of the nearby locals were either hibernating, or they had no interest in the group, for no Pokemon showed up to greet them. After about twenty minutes, the greenery around them became thicker and more varied; some of the wilting plants were even growing on the dirt trail, their seeds having been scattered there in the past.

As they walked around the errant flowers, a faint noise was heard off to the left of the path. From what Makina could figure out, it sounded like something was grazing, tearing out grass and some of the flora as it ate. “Wait here,” the Ranger warned Roark, and crept over to investigate. As she approached closer, the shadow of a large bovine creature could be seen, with its back towards the group. Three tails idly swished about as its owner ate, and the creature's front left hoof dug idly into the soil.

We got a Tauros over here,” Makina said, keeping her voice low as she motioned for Roark to take a look. “They have quite a temper, so if you don't one we need to quietly move on.”

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Makina nodded in response, giving a polite smile back. “Let's keep going on, then. I promise, you'll still have plenty of time to look about once we reach the center.” Roark noticed the polite smile and tried to smile back at Makina but was unsuccessful and felt awkward giving a half fake smile that made him look like a retarded fool.

As Roark and Makina continued their journey in the Gardens, it became quite uneventful. The cold weather, still getting colder and colder, began to effect Roarks bones and nerves but it only made him more determined to continue. Minutes began to feel like hours as they still continued to walk. Looking at his watch, he noticed it had only been twenty minutes. Roark looked around and saw that the greenery had become much thicker, allowing for the opportunity to sneak around and catch a Pokemon off.

As they walked a little bit longer, there was a faint noise from within the thicket which had caught Roark's attention. As he started to slowly creep his way to check it out, Makina stopped him and took the lead. As Roark watched his Ranger creep her way towards the noise, Roark closed his eyes and tried to picture the noise. It sounded like eating; possibly grazing like like farm Pokemon would do. He could hear the foot steps of the Pokemon, so he knew it wasn't standing still and it was big enough to be heard.Rapidash? No that's a Fire type that's not in this area. Miltank? No, the sound is too heavy to be a Miltank. What on Earth could it be?

Roark waited a few minutes, trying to determine what it could be. He knew it wasn't a Kangaskhan because they weren't that close to the center of the Gardens yet. Roark could feel his hands begin to tremble with a bit of excitement and anticipation. Finally, Makina returned to inform him of what was in the thicket: a Tauros!

Roark took a moment to consider his options and weighed his chances. Tauros is a great power house with amazing speed. I have to try and get the upper-hand if I want this to go my way...Roark carefully considered his options as to which Pokemon would be best to use against the Taruos.

"Okay Mikina, I'm going for the catch. Sssshhhh" Roark placed his finger to his lips as he slowly crept through the thick grass. Slowly, Roark chose his Pokemon from his belt and quietly released his Pokemon. Espeon had appeared from her ball, standing up straight after a good stretch. "Sshh! Get down!" Roark had order his Pokemon.

"Espy" Espeon sunk down into the grass. Tilting her head slightly, she gave her trainer a confused look.

"Over there eating is a Taruos. We need to use the element of surprise on this one. QUIETLY, use Quick Attack to move around in circles Tauros. Jump from one side to the other if you can but while confusing it, use Calm Mind to increase your Special Attack. First, creep over to its back side and start from there. Got it? I'll bird call when it's time." Looking back at Makina, Roark waits for her approval or disapproval. Getting a slight nod, Roark nudged on Espeon with a smile.

"Espeon" Espeon smiled and nodded at Roarks plan. Laying low to the ground, Espeon started to creep to the back side of Tauros, doing it's best not to be noticed. Every few steps, Espeon would stop in place to make sure it wasn't heard by Tauros. Sweat started to drip from both Roark and Espeon's face; Roark worried that Espeon might get caught and Espeon worried that she might slip up. Espeon's heart started to race out of control. Her breathing had become more intense. Half way, Espeon made a misstep and accidentally stepped on a twig. Hoping the Tauros didn't hear the noise, Espeon laid flat out as to try to keep Tauros from seeing it, even though the wind was still blowing the thick grass around. Roark heard the noise as well but lost sight of Espeon. While still low to the ground, Roark slowly made his way backwards and to the side to try and get Espeon back in his line of sight.

C'mon Espeon, watch it, Roark thought to himself.

After a moment, Tauros went back to grazing. Espeon waited a second and then continued her slow stalk to get behind Tauros. Roark finally caught sight of Espeon and stayed in his position. After several minutes of heart pounding and hard breathing, Espeon finally made it behind Tauros and laid flat on her belly. Roark decided to give her a minute or two to relax. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Roark gave out the signal and Espeon got ready.

Espeon started to elegantly move around the Tauros. Keeping her distance from Tauros, Espeon began to use Quick Attack, like agility, to confuse the wild Pokemon. Lightly touching the ground, the only noise Tauros could make out was the sound of the thick grass rustling. While running circles, Espeon began to use her Calm Mind attack. Then just as quickly as the plan had executed, Espeon started to jump around, crossing the circle that was made. Seeing how frustrated and confused Tauros had become, Roark jumped up and got ready for the battle.

"Alright Espeon, let's try and really confuse Tauros by using Psybeam!"

    BP1 (Vs Tauros)

    Ranger Makina Auran

OOC: Remember to not state that wild Pokemon or the Ranger react in a specific way. Otherwise, looks all good.

Roark looked surprised to hear that a Tauros was up ahead, but not upset in the least. Considering the bull Pokemon was a rarity on the mainland, he was likely of a way to catch it. Sure enough, after a moment of thought he nodded his head and fished out a Pokeball. “Okay, I'm going for the catch.”

A brief flash of light later, Roark's Espeon was released once more. The Psychic-type stretched, happy to be free to walk about. She seemed oblivious to the situation, giving a happy cry once she saw her Trainer.

Sshh... over there is a Tauros,” Roark explained quietly to the cheerful Pokemon, pointing over to where Tauros was grazing. “Quietly use Quick Attack to run around it in circles, but try and use Calm Mind. Creep over and start from there. I'll give a bird call when it's time.”

As Espeon crept off, Makina mulled over Roark's choice of moves. Combining two moves into one, while complicated, was an advanced method used in Trainers with quite a bit of experience under their belt. He must have trained with Espeon for a long time to create such tactics, and it was a refreshing change from the usual “charge in and smack the Mon senseless” that she had seen used lately. Whether the Trainer had more surprises up his sleeves was still up for question.

It didn't take long for Espeon to reach her target. Tauros was still blissfully unaware, munching on his lunch with an air of indifference. Once the Psychic-type was directly behind the bull, Makina heard Roark give a short Pidgey call. Unfortunately, Tauros heard the noise clearly as well. His head turned, looking towards where the Trainer and Ranger were hiding.

Espeon, seeing Tauros move, bolted out from the grass and began to quickly circle the bull, causing the creature to paw the ground in annoyance. For the moment it did not strike, opting instead to give a baleful glare at his opponent whenever she dashed into view. Espeon shivered from the gaze, but did not falter.

Eventually, the Psychic-type began to clear her mind as she prepared her Calm Mind technique. Unfortunately, her movement slowed as she tried to concentrate, and Tauros was finally able to get a bead on his target. Lowering his head, the bovine Pokemon charged and rammed into Espeon, knocking her back about a foot.

Let's try and really confuse Tauros by using Psybeam!” Roark called out.

Espeon complied, shooting out a multicolored beam for the shimmering red gem on her forehead. While the attack landed true on Tauros, startling the creature, he still seemed to be in his right mind when the technique faded away. Giving a lous snort, the Normal-type reared on his hind legs before crashing his front hooves into the ground. The impact caused a small tremor, making Espeon wobble about unsteadily.
