Individual RP: Bumblebee (again)

OOC: Sorry, I intended to get this up yesterday, but due to a stupid Nor Easter I had questionable internet and was mobile from like 2pm on.

IC: "Friggen snow in October, people having up Christmas trees already. I swear this world, and the people in it, I don't even," I was ranting to myself, when I got called upon to take another ranger job. It was a good way to distract me from ranting, because I could use the work.

"Hmm, let's see who I'm taking through this time," I said, as I was walking through the halls looking at the trainers information. "What? Leo again? Didn't I just take this guy through the park like two weeks ago?" I asked myself as I got outside. "Oh well, he must enjoy going through the park various times to catch a lot of different Pokemon, can't say I blame him. May as well kill sometime looking at what Pokemon he's bringing this time."

"Houndoom, alright that one is a bit unusual to bring to a place full of Water-types, but no harm done. Gardevoir, pretty good choice based on all of those extra moves it has. Zoroark, well that one is pretty powerful. Wailord......alright then...." I finished seeing what I needed to see, and now all I had to do was pick a Pokemon to accompany me. "Hm, I'm feeling rather Absolish today, so come on out Absol," I said as I threw its Pokeball into the air. "It's time for us to take someone on another run, but first we need to play the waiting game, he should be here soon hopefully though."

IC: "Dude, hurry up!" I called back to the four legged hellhound that was dragging behind me. He wasn't too thrilled about going to the lakes surrounded by lots of water and Water type Pokemon. I remembered the first time we came here, he was scared out of his mind, but I helped him through it. He wasn't going to have that much trouble this time, and I didn't want to force him to come, but Shadow has come with me to each and every park expedition that I've gone on. He didn't want to make this the first.

"I'm going, shut your mouth." He barked. I just shook my head and grinned. I slowed down and walked with him.

"We won't go into the lake, alright buddy?" I said to him. "We'll just go around it. Don't worry, I won't let those Water types get to you. Even though I know you can take them!" He just gave a small weak laugh and nodded. We were coming up to the lakes now, the gate was just up ahead. I saw my ranger close by.

"Hey!" I called out to him. There was no need to introduce ourselves since we were well acquainted. However, I did shake his hand. "I'm ready whenever you are. Shadow and I would prefer to go around the lakes rather than in them if that is alright."

 

It didn't take too long for Leo to show up after I made my way outside. He seemed to be having some sort of discussion with his Houndoom. I guess it wasn't too odd, while you could normally communicate with Psychic-types, it wasn't too much of a stretch to be able to with Ghosts, or Dark-types as well, I could talk with Absol if I wanted, I just never felt like boring her. That wasn't too important right now though, what was important was getting Leo through the park.

He remembered who I was, so there was no need for the formality of introducing ourselves, though he did extend his hand for a handshake, which I accepted and shook his. "I'm ready whenever you are. Shadow and I would prefer to go around the lakes rather than in them if that is alright," Leo said. I couldn't really blame him, going around was better when you had a Fire-type by your side, over going right to the water. "Sure Leo, that's fine we can go around instead. That being said let's get started."

I took Leo through the front gate, and was going to lead him down to the area we would be walking around, but before we could even get that far down a Pokemon ran in our way from behind a bush. It was a small, ugly, brown, rodent-like Pokemon. It either reminded me of a beaver, or perhaps a gopher. It had large teeth, a red nose, a black snout, and a lot of fur. Their paws were also black, and webbed. Yup, it was a fairly unpopular Pokemon.

"So Leo, this is a bad way to start things off right? But, how about this Bidoof?"

"So Leo, this is a bad way to start things off right? But, how about this Bidoof?" He asked me. I had to agree with him, it was a bad way to start a run. But perhaps I had to look at it a different way. We were just starting things slow... I suppose. I just let out sigh.

"Yeah, don't really want it." I said, sounding a bit sad. "but I can't let that get me down, we just started afterall. Let me try and run, if not I have a doll." Shadow roared loudly to try and scare away the doopy looking Bidook. I wasn't sure if the thing would back down and run away, or stay and try to fight. Shadow's roar did sound a bit challenging, so I hope Bidoof was too scared to battle and just ran away.

"Let's go around the lakes towards the hills part. I think I remember them being somewhere that way... if I'm thinking of the right place." I said, playing my Frillish Voice Disk in the mean time.

 

"Yeah, don't really want it, but I can't let that get me down, we just started afterall. Let me try and run, if not I have a doll," Leo said to me, and honestly I couldn't blame him, I mean Bidoof wasn't much of a Pokemon, and Leo probably just wanted to kill it, but that'd be wrong and cruel...probably. Either way we needed to try to escape from it, otherwise Leo would be forced to waste a Pokedoll, and who'd want to say they had to use a Pokedoll escaping from a Bidoof? I attempted to take Leo around it, but this Bidoof wouldn't take no for an answer.

"So that's how you want to play this game is it?" I asked. "Well, you'll get what you deserve then, Leo hand me your Pokedoll," I said to Leo, who did without any problems. I took the Pokedoll and threw it at Bidoof. The doll bounced off of its head, and distracted it, giving Leo, and myself plenty of time to leave. Once we got passed Leo turned to me and said, "let's go around the lakes towards the hills part. I think I remember them being somewhere that way... if I'm thinking of the right place." During this time he pulled out his Pokeplayer, and placed in what appeared to be his Frillish Voice Disk. With that we were off once more.

I began leading Leo over to the hills, but we were once again cut off. This time it was by a small Pokemon that jumped out from the water. It seemed like it was a hybrid of a weasel, and a sea otter. It had primarily orange fur, though you could see some cream color on it, namely on its chin through midsection, and at the tip of its tails. It had two blue fins, one on each arm, and a tail that appeared to separate into two tails.

"It's not a Frillish, but one still might show up if you try again. But for now, any interest in this Buizel?"

We had come towards the hills like I had wanted, but this wasn't the place I had remembered. Either that, or it changed, which was completely possible. "No, not really interested in one. I do like Buizel though, had one myself a while back. I lent it to the Sootopolis Gym Leader. He's a boss." I said. "However, I'm going to pass on this one. I got another doll in case we can't get by." The small water weasel looked at us carefully. I could tell it was itching for a fight, but I didn't want to battle it right now. I had things to do. I then played my Alomoloa disk.

 

"No, not really interested in one. I do like Buizel though, had one myself a while back. I lent it to the Sootopolis Gym Leader. He's a boss. However, I'm going to pass on this one. I got another doll in case we can't get by." Leo said. Floatzel was pretty cool, it was just unfortunately frail, but it was fast and that was what I liked in a Pokemon. But this wasn't my decision, and Leo felt it was better to just pass up on Buizel, though Buizel had other plans. We tried to escape, but it growled at us, eager to not let us pass. It didn't sound vicious though, rather just playful like it wanted to play with Leo. Leo didn't want this though, and so he just handed me a Pokedoll which I threw at Buizel. Buizel sniffed the doll, looking curious, and then happily took it away somewhere.

"Okay Leo, now we can continue," I said to Leo, who had been busy changing the Voice Disk in his Pokeplayer. This time when he hit the play button, it let out the sound of an Alomomola. With that we kept walking, with Leo hopeful that he'd find an Alomomola. This reminded me of our last trip when he wanted a Delibird. He had some unusual tastes I thought. Either way though it wasn't too weird, everyone had their specific reasons for wanting to own a various different Pokemon. We kept walking until I heard something from behind a bush. I turned my attention to the noise, and from there a Pokemon emerged. It was a turtle-like Pokemon, with a brown shell. It had long fluffy ears, as well as a long fluffy tail too. It seemed to have small fangs, and sharp claws as well. It was an evolved form of a starter Pokemon.

As we walked further into the Lakes area, we saw many Water type Pokemon pass us, but none that were in the battling mood. I was a bit disappointed. I had actually wanted to battle some of them. When a Pokemon finally did show up that actually wanted to battle me, I didn't want to battle or capture it.

"Care to face this Wartortle, Leo?" He asked me.

"No, everything we've found so far I can get easily else where. I'm not here for that. Can we move on?" I asked, continuing to play my Frillish Voice Disk.

 

"No, everything we've found so far I can get easily else where. I'm not here for that. Can we move on?" Leo asked. I guess I can't say I'm shocked that he didn't want anything so far, it was all pretty much crap, or stuff that could be caught by easier means. It also didn't help that so far his Voice Disk's didn't work, though that wasn't to say that they wouldn't work at all, we just needed to wait a little. The only task at hand right now was getting passed Wartortle, but could it really be as simple as just walking right around it? Well there was only one way to find out. I led Leo right towards Wartortle, and then around it, and it didn't give us any trouble at all, if anything it was just curious as to see what was standing here, but either way we got around it without any trouble, and Leo once again activated a Voice Disk.

"I know you wanted to look by the hills, but maybe if we try by the water we'll have better luck locating one of the Pokemon you want, or at least the Alomomola anyway," I said to Leo. With that we started walking along again, but before we got back to the water I saw another Pokemon along the way, one who was out of place. This Pokemon by all means should have been in the water, but was on the ground instead. It was a clam-like Pokemon. It had a dark blue shell, and inside of it was a blue body made of six extensions. It had a small, pink, pearl-like head. It was a Pokemon capable of evolving into one of two other Pokemon, and something not quite as common as the other things Leo encountered.

I just nodded in agreement. It couldn't hurt to try to look somewhere else. I suppose it would even give me more Pokemon to battle. Hopefully, something I didn't have.

"No thanks. Though I did spend an entire trip here trying to find one some time ago. I did manage to get two Clamperl for both Huntail and Gorebyss. No need for one now though. I'll just toss a doll if we can't get by." I let my Frillish Voice Disk keep playing.

Couldn't have hurt for him to capture it, at least it would have made for some trade bait, but either way it was Leo's choice, and Leo just felt it was best to flee. I turned to him and nodded, and tried to lead him along, but somehow, Clamperl wouldn't allow us to pass. Now this made no sense to me since it was this little thing in a shell, and we could probably try to go around it, but it might try to bite us so I figured it'd be better to just use Leo's Pokedoll, I didn't feel like being bitten anyway. I took Leo's Pokedoll, and gave it to Clamperl to distract it. With that me and Leo were once again on our way, after he played his Frillish Voice Disk again.

We continued to walk, and I was going to take Leo to circle around the water, but before I could yet another Pokemon decided to be annoying. This time it was a small blue Pokemon, with a white stomach. It was a mouse-like Pokemon. At first glance of it's tail you might think it's somehow related to Pikachu, and it's three forms in its evolution resembled the Pikachu family.

"I already know you don't want this Marill, Leo so." He said, as if he were reading my thoughts. I was quite surprised that even though there was a lot of Water type Pokemon I wanted to find here at the lakes, I wasn't finding any at all. I was a bit disappointed at the stuff I was finding today. I guess today wasn't a good day to come to the lakes like I had thought.

"Yeah, you already know I don't want it so let's just go." I sighed. "Let's see what other crap we run into." I got another doll ready incase this Pokemon didn't want to let us go. I let my Frillish Voice disk continue playing, though I wasn't holding my breath on finding one.

 

OOC: This is getting bad

IC: "Yeah, you already know I don't want it so let's just go." Leo said with a sigh. "Let's see what other crap we run into." So far this run was pretty bad, and with Leo's Voice Disks not working it only made matters worse. Still being Leo's ranger I couldn't give up hope, maybe one of his Voice Disks would end up working sooner or later, it wasn't impossible, just unlikely. Without really thinking much about it I just led Leo right past Marill. I don't know if it was because it was just a playful Pokemon, or because we were just ignoring it, but we got around Marill without a peep from it. Now we could head to whatever came our way next while Leo was still playing his Pokeplayer.

We got down to the water, and from it I saw something on the water moving around. It was definitely a Pokemon, but I couldn't tell which one it was yet. I figured though that if we stood here waiting it would soon make its way over to us, and I was right. This was a bulky Pokemon, and was kind of frog-like, which would explain why it wasn't under the water. It was a dual Water and Ground type. It was mostly blue in color, with some cyan on it. If you were to say it had fingers and toes, then it had three of each of these. Its red eyes were a clear standout. All in all this was an unusual Pokemon.

"Well Leo, I don't think you own a Seismitoad. I know they can be a bit hard to battle since they're fully evolved, but it's here if you'd like to battle it, or we can just continue along the way. It's your call."

Well, my proper training. So I'm going to have to pass on this one too." I sighed. I tossed a Pokedoll and let my Frillish Voice Disk play on.

"Where to now," I said without enthusiasum. I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I was a bit disappointed, but nothing could be done now expect move on and see what else comes my way.
