"Mr. Jay to Head Waren's Office. Mr. Jay to Head Warden's Office," the beautifully seductive voice of the secretary called out over the intercom. I strolled up from my desk in the lobby, shoving some crappy paperwork to one side and giving the secretary a broad grin. Her wavey blonde hair framed her pretty face nicely, but I wasn't paying attention to that, or to the perfectly-constructed makeup she was wearing. But, I was looking at her deep brown eyes, hinting at so much that weren't suitable for younger viewers.

She bit her lip as she handed me the form. "Leo again." Her voice sent shivers down my spine and I could feel my palms starting to sweat.

I snorted a little and tried, and failed, to pass it off as a cough. "Right, right. Oktori again, I'm guessing?"

"No, Deckbi this time. He's helped support us so much as is so you better be nice to him," she said with a lick of her lips.

"Y-yeah, ma'am," I stammered, backing up and snatching the form from the table. With a glance outside, I saw passive weather and muttered to myself.

"Meh."

"Alright, alright! Calm down already, we're going now." I said to my overly excited partner, Shadow. Shadow was a Houndoom who I had raised since he hatched from an egg. Since then, we had been together through everything, so it made our bond that much stronger. "I just need to double check our stuff before we leave; I don't want to get there and find out I forgot something."

"Yeah, yeah. Just hurry." He said, jumping up and down like a little kid. I wasn't sure why he wanted to go there today, but I agreed since I wanted two Pokemon from there; Litwick and Cubone, everything else I pretty much had already.

"Hmm, I won't be needing my Masterballs or Supreme Parkball, but I'm taking them anyways. One Rock Repellant, balls, fragrances, and my Voice Disk Case." I said aloud. "Looks like we're all set."

"Finally!" He cried out happily as he stormed out the front door. I just laughed. My eyes moved over to the calendar and then I realized why he was so excited. I took off after him. We walked for a good while towards Deckbi. Yeah, Mindbender could have easily teleported us there, but I felt like walking today, and so did Shadow.

"We'll scope out the area." A voice said from my left.

"And let you know if we find anything." Another voice said from my right. Then, two black, bipedal, fox-like Pokemon appeared besides me. It was Mirage and Prowl, my Zoroark. They had this special ability called Illusion where it allowed them to trick the people around them to see what they want them to see. In this case, they were invisible, and they would remain that way until I called them in for battle or they had something to report.

"Let's go look for our Ranger." I said to Shadow. I also took out a Litwick Voice Disk and my Pokeplayer. I pressed play and looked around for my Ranger. "There he is, let's go over to him." I said with my Pokeplayer playing loud and clear.

 

After just a few minutes, my trainer, Leo, could be seen walking towards me. I recognised Leo from the last time I was in the Park as a Ranger - he was the trainer I was escorting, on a day much like today, except it was in Mount Oktori, a much cooler area. As I watched him approached, I caught something unusual with my eye - on the left of him there was a little shimmer of light, as though the sun's rays had hit off something and were reflecting. But, I must've been seeing things as their was nothing there. The sun tended to play tricks on the mind at times.

"Hey, Leo," I called over to him when he was within earshot, giving him a little salute in the meantime. "How are we doing today?" I called over. He replied something back but I couldn't quite make it out. When he'd gotten close enough, he whipped out one of his famous discs that he seemed to have for just about every Pokemon, and slotted it into a compact Pokeplayer attached to a contraption from his bag. After a quick push of a button, a mournful voice, much like that of the wind howling on a mountaintop cried out. There was something really harrowing about the voice, almost like the Pokemon was in pain.

"A Litwick, I see. The voice always seems so sad," I noted, more to myself than anything. "Let's go then shall, we?"

So, we began to head off, this time I decided to head down the mountainside and towards the plains. If Leo wanted to hang around, then I had a special place to show him. I'd discovered it sometime ago but I hadn't shown anyone it, yet anyway. The ground was fairly dry and flakey, but some bits of vegetation poked out through the cracks. They were withered looking and were clearly lacking in water. I made a self-note to petition for a gardener here...

Just a little ahead, I saw a burst of small flames. It came from a Magby, a bipedal red Pokemon with a huge brain-like head. Its mouth was facing the sun and it shot out some more flames.

"Not a Litwick, but want it anyway?"

"Not a Litwick, but want it anyway?" He asked me.

"No, not really." I said, letting out a disappointed sigh. I reached into my bag and pulled out a small Pokedoll. "Here, play with that." I looked around and pressed my Pokeplayer button again to let the sound of Litwick out. I had brought two of them, so if one didn't work, hopefully the other one did. If not, I'd have to come back here again for one. Wasn't really something I was looking forward too.

"Know where any of these Litwick like to hang?" I asked my lovely Ranger.
